- Sri Lanka, Dikwella. What an incredible man. I met my friend Nehal in the market after getting some traditional Sri Lankan clothes in Dikwella market. The same day he invited me to go for lunch in his house and to meet his family.
The next day he picked me up from my hotel, we went to his house, met his whole family and gave me a tour around his house. His beautiful wife even made a home cooked meal especially for me (with little spicy as I can't east spicy food)
What an incredible experience!

*Also I felt like you understood somethings they said in sinhala somehow without translation, specially the betel part at the table.😯

watching this video feel so homesick. Wish I can leave Australia and live in SL on my retirement. I left 43 years ago. I was just 21 years old. Don't eat beetle leaves not good. You can get mouth cancer if you keep munch all the time. This lady reminded me of my mother. She won't let any visitor leave her home empty stomach. Sri Lankans are so generous and welcoming. I understand everything in Sinhalese. They keep telling serve him more food and don't watch him eating it's rude. Oh how nice. 🤔

Man I can't help to comment again and again in all your vlogs .. the way you eat bro here with your hands in a typical sri lankan hope setting is priceless .. you are 'naturally' a humble person .. your energy emits a soothing aura about you .. some people force it and try their best to fit it (it's honestly not easy) but the way you manage to adapt is just brilliant .. the house is super quiet eh? it's typical sri lankans are very thoughtful when it comes to making a visitor comfortable .. usually they aren't noisy and they don't talk loudly .. you would even notice the English pronunciations are more English (British) then American I'm glad your enjoying this.
