It used to be full of garbage from the ocean. They cleaned the area including drainage and sewers from the surrounding areas and placed Dolomite sand on it. No one is still allowed to swim because it still not safe healthwise but hopefully it is going there. There were controversies and opposition to putting Dolomite sand as it is not natural. But for me, as long as it remains clean, I am happy
That's exactly the domino effect of the rehabilitation of Manila Bay. The surrounding areas were also improved, including the removal and rehousing of squatters. Illegal drainage was addressed, and tourism albeit local has boomed.
Fyi, dolomite beach is just a cash cow of some corrupt politicians. They didn't actually clean it because they didn't put water treatment facility where it acts as a reservoir of all the dirty waters coming from the inside of Manila. It's use is to clean or purify the dirty water first before they release it to Manila Bay. With the absence of that treatment facility, dirty water still appears( green colored stench from garbage) So when those trash appears they cover it with dolomite sand,it becomes a cycle. They order dolomite sand again and again when it eppears. That's where the corruption begins. If they truly want to clean it thay should put a central water treatment facility. Don't be fooled
I would hope over time the currents' high/low tides would eventually take care of the pollution issue in the water. Someone must be testing the waters in the area very nice looking place.

Hi Ali Machan! Honestly, your vlog is so addictive and stress reliever. I haven't been back home for over 12 years. I'm planning to retire there the end of this year between Phil and Ho Chi Minh. My late husband is Vietnamese and got 5 yrs visa extension in Vietnam. I'm kinda excited and sad at the same time because my love of my life is no longer with me.That's supposed to be our retirement plan but he's gone forever. I know he's in a happy place with God. There's so many bad things happening here in the US and it's not safe anymore like before in the 80's especially the racial tension against asians. Everything is so expensive like super unleaded gas is $6.79 a gallon. Thanks again for your hard work on making vlogs about the Philippines and at the same time it's very educational. More power to you, Danny and Harry. God Bless and stay safe!
Welcome to the Philippines bro. Filipinos will find you likable because you are talkative but honest and polite. Don’t be surprised your subscribers will explode as millions of our countrymen like the OFWs and immigrants all over the world are following almost everything coming from the homeland. Take care and God bless. Watching from California.
Keep up the good work Ali! Love how you interact with the Filipinos. You are also generous by having them keep your change when paying. I hope I get to meet you in person.

You already gave the ice cream guy with a full 100 pesos even though the ice cream only cost P20 and you offered him to keep the change, then when you wanted to treat the kids with free ice cream, you gave him another P20. Lol. You could've included that in the 100 you already gave. I mean I know that money is just little money and it's nothing to be concerned about, esp with the little that these vendors make, so you are helping them in a way, and I have seen some other foreigners doing the same, the intention is good, but this actually teaches them to jack up the prices or not give the change to future foreign customers thinking that all foreigners are rich. So yea, but thank you for being kind and compassionate, but just be aware of the effects it will bring.
Manila bay is one of the most beautiful sunset you could ever had. It's good it had been cleaned up after a long decade but for now still not swimmable due to water still did not meet the accepted standard quality and hoping it would soon.
Until you have a proper water treatment plant in metro Manila that water is unsafe for decades to come. The last time Manila Bay was swimmable was in the early 60s. All kinds of pollution are dumped in Pasig River which leads to the bay and oil from ships are leaking on the waters near the pier. You can smell bunker oil and diesel oil standing near the water on the pier. I was born in Manila and lived in Malate, then my whole family immigrated to the United States. I had been coming there to see friends and relatives every year except during the pandemic.
i haven't heard the latest on the condition of the water but the last news i heard it is still officially hazardous for the health to swim in it but lots of kids swam on it back when there were trash and oil spill floating all over back when it smells like sewer. but it is a work in progress the government has been dredging for over 2 years now and they will deploy an automated solar powered vessel to clean the waters constantly last time i heard.
It will take more years to clean Manila Bay but not 100% for swimming.Manila Bay is like huge sewer tank all the sewage from different cities around the Bay and garbbage, oil spill from the different ships dock at Manila Bay.
I kind of wondered about the infrastructure concerning the disposal of sewage, which should be of great concern based on common knowledge. If you remember they had issues during the Summer Olympics in Brazil with some of the water sports. Various competitors opted out in terms of participating as a result of the bacteria levels related to human waste which naturally falls back on poor infrastructure, this is quite different and looks as though it's being addressed in the Philippines. It'll work itself out what a beautiful beach.

Good Vlog of the Artificial Manila Bay beach (Dolomite) looks good. it's an amazing transformation from a garbage dump to now that 😍 but ages ago I had a glimpse of a very very small patch of a real white sand (yellowish) near the Manila Yacht Club area where we use to play in the water, the condition of the water then is still survivable 😁 till it got more and more polluted and full of garbage as I've seen in the picture, so you can imagine centuries ago the bay would have had a real white beach before massive population built up in the area. you should see the state of Manila Bay before our former Pres Duterte's term. It was horrible. This was just recently rehabilitated & still ongoing. Manila Bay has also one of the best sunset views.
@lol lol "Over rated"? Perhaps, but it's understandable considering it's previous state; full of garbage and even cadavers. "Politicised"? Which side did that more, or even initially did that? The latter is more rhetorical, mate.
@lol lol you have to give the former administration credit! I think Duterte did a great job cleaning the ceased beach, if you even wanna call it a beach!!
@lol lol the expense of everything else... You're pertaining to the ayuda? Even here in the UK that's proven very debilitating to the economy not to mention a bigger burden to tax payers.
Im a new subscriber and I gotta say you are one of the best vlogger on youtube. The way you interact with the locals, you show respect to them and you being humble and very kind person. You're doing a great job! keep it up sir. You are a certified Filipino now😊❤
‘Kamusta ka’ is basically ‘how are you’ usually used to address a friend or same age group. There’s an insinuation of respect when you say it ‘ kamusta kayo’ ( plural ) even to a single person especially to an elderly. A language peculiarity that is also cultural. Ingat ( Ing - ngat ) … take care Mabuhay ( ma-boo-high ) long live Mabuti ( ma-boo-tee ) I’m good/fine Ok lang - I’m just good …2 meanings depending on tone. A casual response would mean just that. If it’s said in a sighing way, it means kinda 50/50 or so-so 😂
FYI my friend. That seaside was rehabilitated, filled with dolomite beacuse that was full of garbages very polluted for years. Now renewed, the begining of life of organisms and other aquatic animals.
Since you are in manila, there is a place just opposite manila bay called CORREGIDOR ISLAND. It's worth a visit. I dont know why foreign vlogger skip this place. Hope you visit this soon.
Many of them are just about fun and easy-going and not so much historically interested. I will surely go when I am there, it is one of the most important sites of WW2 in whole asia

Enjoying all of your videos from the beginning! Let the adventures continue.... 👍
Let's us be thankful to our former President Duterte for his strong courage to rehabilitate Manila Bay. See! look what courage and determination can do to achieve something impossible. Now everybody is enjoying the new and improved Mania Bay the fresh air, the sunset, the dolomite sand the clear water though it's not allowed to swim for now. It's a great achievement in his term as president. No other presidents of the Philippines think about rehabilitation-only the former President. 🤔 🇵🇭💪🏼
I extremely agree! Former president has done so much there. I hope the new president can continue this work. I am amazed how modern and clean Philippines now. I'd love to visit soon
You know what I like most about Ali compared to other travel vloggers who have been to the Philippines? Ali is different because he truly made the Filipino people the true stars of his show! How many times have we heard other travel vloggers praise Filipino hospitality and resourcefulness and sense of fun. But Ali really focused the limelight on it by experiencing it himself...he really immersed himself with the people! It is not just our beaches and rice terraces and other landmarks, it is really our people who place value and meaning to the places. The Filipino people are the tourist spots in themselves. Maybe because Ali himself is a blend of East and West (Iraqi-British), so he really connected with us Filipinos because we are a blend of East and West as well. Like us, he can speak English but he has that Asian sense of respect and camaraderie. Marunong siya makisama. More power to you, Ali. Thank you so much for allowing our people to shine. You are always welcome to come back so we can watch more of tour videos.
Thank you very much in featuring the Dolomite beach, Manila bay walk in Roxas blv, Manila bay, the friendly people there in the City of Manila! It was a show case in your appreciation of one of the beautification and environmental projects of Former President Rodrigo Duterte and it was one of his Legacy of honest, effective governance of his administration! By your video Bloggs it was shown to the world of what really truth about the positive side of story of Dolomite beach.😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍 Marami pong Salamat sa inyo!
Ali, Villa Escudero in Quezon province is a must visit. You will experience a carabao-driven carriage, meals with the dining table right in the waters of the river, ramp sailing in the calm river, cascading waterfalls from a manmade dam, museum exhibit situated in ancestral house, all located in a coconut plantation. Entrance fee will cover everything, including the meal by the river.

Hi Ali! I grew up in Manila, we never called that a beach, we just called it Manila Bay and with the most beautiful sunsets. We used to see ships in the area and yachts too.
Dolomite is Artificial. It's ecologically dead. Manila Bay in pre-WWII times had extensive mangrove swamps. They should replant the mangroves to restore the original ecosystem.
I'm Kenny (a Filipino near Seattle). You three be careful wading in Philippine waters (the stonefish and certain jellyfish are sure deadly). And I must say: Dany and Harry liking you as a friend even though you're racially Iraqi absolutely warms my Christian heart. BTW, be careful walking at night. And, watch your drink because of sexual predators. Stay safe! World peace!
So nice of you Kuya Kenny to remind Kuyas Ali, Harry and Danny of the dangers. 👍 everyone please be aware of your surroundings and protect yourselves at all times! 🥊 Love to all ♥️
The water in that beach is not yet swimmable. Few more times may be, many years ago, that Bay was so dirty, that was a garbage area, abandoned by the many past presidents. During Pres. Duterte, thats the time he started cleaning the beach, that used to be so smelly and so dirty. FYI.
Loving this series, Ali. I got introduced to your friend Harry Jaggard when he came to my country Bangladesh. I discovered you from youtube's recommendation and started your Philippine's playlist. I know you are in Nepal rn, can't wait to finish this and start watching our man Machan in Nepal.
I remember Boracay and El Nido Palawan's beaches. we (filipinos) never thought that it Manila Bay would become as white as those despite all garbages found there before! thanks for featuring Dolomite beach
WOWWWWW. YOU VISITED THE FAMOUS DOLOMITE BEACH...THE CAPTION IS VERY CHALLENGING ... BUT IN THE END YOU ADMIRE THE BEAUTY AND RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE ..HAPPY you TRY ALL THE FOODs AND SWEETS, ICE CREAM, WHAT WE LOVE , STREET FOODS......
the other side of the rock, has the picture of before and after of that place (not sure if its there). no one is swimming yet because the government are still in the process of cleaning the waters and regulating the business who dont have correct water treatment so that it wont be as polluted as it used to be
Dolomite Beach was the old Manila Bay that is murky, stinking dumpsite and sewage with rocky shores. It stunk from miles away before, It was so filthy with oil spills, wastes from the hotl an other nearby cities. Now, they cleaned the water and put dolomite sand. That big rock is the dolomite rock from Cebu that is pulverized into the dolomite sand. Swimming is not allowed yet. They are cleaning the water further and adding more phases like fishing area. Manila Bay is 190km shoreline. They will be doing the leaning in all its stretch.
Hi ali. People are not allowed to swim there, bcoz the water is highly polluted, before that beach is full of garbage, dead animals etc, but they are cleaning the area so that someday it can be swimmable again.

I approached you in Coron in barracuda lake, nice to see you also went to manila bay-dolomite beach. there is also the "Baseco beach" in Manila 5km from the dolomite beach.
Part of the reason i watch ali on youtube is his honest but respectful opinion about the philippines trips he took. Though i am not subscribe, after watching about 4 now. I will give him my approval.
Manila has another beach at BASECO, but it's a natural beach with mangroves. They also cleaned it up but it's not as popular because it's harder to visit
Dolomite Beach is One of the many Legacies of the Duterte administration ! 👍It's a testament that if a Leader has the Political Will & genuine concern for the people..he can do Insurmountable things that benefit the common good ! 💚♥️ President Rodrigo Duterte just ended his Term a week ago,,but he will forever be remembered for the many great things he has done for the country..❤️ .

Try the food at the Aristocrat Restaurant. I enjoy pancit canton and bbq chicken, lumpia shanghai.
Daily virtual tour with you fills our hearts with joy&happiness, discovering new places, food, cultural& how tourists will be treated👌Great Vlogs Legend Ali King👑
You gotta add Baguio to your itinerary Ali. It's a whole lot different experience and I'm sure you'd like it 😃
I agree. Baguio is an experience not a place. You will definitely feel like you are in different country when you are in Baguio.
Thanks for vlogging the Philippines, I miss it a lot I haven’t gone back in years , wish I can go back soon:)
You should go travel to the provinces again this time try bohol if you haven’t yet :) ingat palagi (always take care)
- your #1 fan angel 😜✌️
INGAT means TAKE CARE
IKINAGAGALAK MONG MAKILALA KA - Pleased to meet you
Magkano ito? - How much?
Kabuhayan - Livelihood, business
Hindi - NO
OPO - YES (When talking to older person)
OO - YES (When talking to younger person than you)
Sir - Ginoo
Miss - Binibini
Missus - Ginang
Thank you Ali for your kindness to my fellow pilipino. Salamat ng marami.
you should see the state of Manila Bay before our former Pres Duterte's term. It was horrible. This was just recently rehabilitated & still ongoing. Manila Bay has also one of the best sunset views.
@lol lol politicized by those who would rather see the beach rot than see the president succeed. Kaya talo manok nila nung election
@lol lol I don't follow what you're saying, mate.
Ingat ( Ing - ngat ) … take care
Mabuhay ( ma-boo-high ) long live
Mabuti ( ma-boo-tee ) I’m good/fine
Ok lang - I’m just good …2 meanings depending on tone. A casual response would mean just that. If it’s said in a sighing way, it means kinda 50/50 or so-so 😂
Thank You Ali! You're so generous to our kababayan.God Bless You more in return.
Beautiful white sand and fun street food options. Must be that Ali Kuya Machan eats only a few snacks and walks for hours and goes to gym so no pot belly on Ali Aliyah Machan. 😊 Wishing you continued success and 1 million subscribers.
I'd love to visit soon
thanks! madam for agreeing with me. It's obvious as a noon sky. Enjoy your visit madam! take care. 😊
Yessss...only prrd
@@annabellavillamor4191 💪🏼😊😊
i agree
The best time to go there is at Sunset, manila bay sunsets are always gorgeous
Nice dolomite beach done by the good government 🇵🇭💚♥️
Yes you’re not allowed to swim there as of the moment. They are still cleaning up the water to be suitable for swimming
Hi ali and danny....enjoy every single day you stay in philippines...waiting and excited to watch you vlog everyday stay safe ..god bless yoi both
You know what I like most about Ali compared to other travel vloggers who have been to the Philippines?
☺️☺️
Love your videos man, keep it up❤️
We miss you Ali. You must be here with Luke in Sri Lanka on these days. Luv from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. Hope you & Luke come again.
broo, ilove ali's videos, i'm always waiting his videos everyday in 5PM, keep it up and stay safe ali.
Ali nice to see you cover dolomite beach , manila bay! i never been there yet since the rehabilation, i was there when there was a full of trash and going down in the underpass so bad smell....I'm happy that it turns into beautiful beach now...I'll visit there soon.
I remember having these potato’s on stick before.. definitely yummy :) especially when it’s hot and oily 😋 so hungry now
Thanks for checking out Dolomite Beach. When you have chance find the time to visit Luneta Park at night Arroceros park and Bonifacio park
Hungry Syrian Wanderer Basel's 4.83M success began in that area. Like you, he's a cool Arab. I guess you're the second Arab Vvlogger who has ever visited that place.
El Conquistador Ali is out and about.Respect the hussle, ma man. You're probably in the middle of a move but who can forget how Street Legend Ali blends with the locals? Maybe we haven't told you enough times,Thank you for boosting our tourism.Stay safe.Stay grounded.Stay Gold.♥️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

*_Ingat_* = *take care*
*_Mabuti_* = *good*
Its prohibited swimming in that water of Manila Bay. Thats where all the sewer of Manila go.
FYI there is a WATER TREATMENT PLANT along Roxas boulevard. The WATER COLIFORM BACTERIA level DROPPED
from 1.6 MILLION MPN/100 ML to 1,700 MPN/100 ML(as of FEB 2022)
So it is not impossible to swim safe again in that area. Not now but maybe soon!
Hi Ali! I grew up in Manila, we never called that a beach, we just called it Manila Bay and with the most beautiful sunsets. We used to see ships in the area and yachts too.
Beach is Life! Life's a beach!
Dolomite beach 👍❤💯
Dolomite is Artificial. It's ecologically dead. Manila Bay in pre-WWII times had extensive mangrove swamps.
They should replant the mangroves to restore the original ecosystem.
Try to go to the Northern part of Luzon…visit Baguio, Vigan, and La Union.
🥊 Love to all ♥️
Yes so get back to the way it was before keep things watch all the time for PRRD is not anymore the President
Ali, go to INTRAMURUS, a historical landmark & Luneta Park, both are historical landmarks.
Bec of that man made Beach Sir Ali. We love our Former President Duterte..more and more..
Water Quality there came from ¨biologically dead¨ area to ¨Fit for fishing¨, not yet for swimming, but that is the goal.
The water in that beach is not yet swimmable. Few more times may be, many years ago, that Bay was so dirty, that was a garbage area, abandoned by the many past presidents. During Pres. Duterte, thats the time he started cleaning the beach, that used to be so smelly and so dirty. FYI.
im here less than 10 minutes from the upload!! i love your vids!! been watching a whole lot of it recently! ♡
First
It could be a tourist attraction in the future. Thank you FPRRD.
How can it be a future tourist attraction? Lol
INGGAT IS TAKE CARE. I always watched your vlog Ali. Take care & enjoy.😊💖
take care always ali...praying for your success in blogging..
BUT IN THE END YOU ADMIRE THE BEAUTY AND RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE ..HAPPY you TRY ALL THE FOODs AND SWEETS, ICE CREAM, WHAT WE LOVE , STREET FOODS......
the other side of the rock, has the picture of before and after of that place (not sure if its there).
no one is swimming yet because the government are still in the process of cleaning the waters and
regulating the business who dont have correct water treatment so that it wont be as polluted as it used to be
Dolomite Beach was the old Manila Bay that is murky, stinking dumpsite and sewage with rocky shores. They will be doing the leaning in all its stretch.
another finish video of ali that i wait so much 😍❤️ upload moreeeee
4:45 ingat means "take care" used when someone is leaving. very nice👍🙂😆
Yah man...Mr.Friendship goes to Ali Machan...yeheyyyy...ingat..is take care...God protect you and Dany.Godbless
Hi Ali! Those ice cream you see being sold on the street are mostly homemade compared to the mainstream ones you see being sold at shops.
Hi Ali nice your vlogging Dolomite beach wonderful
wow nice vlog Ali, thanks for admiring dolomite beach ⛱, hope you comeback here 😀 😊
Ali, the park and the bay in rehabilitation -- not allowed to fish - to swim or boating.
It will take time to rehabilitate an ocean.
Ang “ bait” mo, you are very kind. You are very generous
Thanks for featuring Dolomite beach, as of now it's not allowed to swim due to under going water treatment.
the ice cream is a bit expensive but i guess its bcoz the cost of ingredients nowadays are really expensive🥺
it used to be 6 pesos before.
Thank you guys for taking time to take video at the beach!👍
Yes it's clean bcoz the baby fish are multiplying that's why it's not for bathing, just for relaxation.
You're a boss. Thanks for being generous to the Filipino community.
I am watching Ali thanks for being so wonderful to all Filipinos your awesome Ali
Thanks for visiting Ali and Dany as always.. take carez
Hello sir, another great video i enjoy watching beautiful manila bay beach .
Hi ali. People are not allowed to swim there, bcoz the water is highly polluted, before that beach is full of garbage, dead animals etc, but they are cleaning the area so that someday it can be swimmable again.
Hello again ali! if your going to say "Kumusta ka", he or she will answer back to you and say "Mabuti" it means i'm good or i'm ok.
ingat means take care
how much-magkano po
keep the change- sayo na sukli
what's this-ano po ito
if your going to ask direction-saan po papunta ang Mall of asia
Place means lugar
eat means- kain
kainan means a place to eat
hintay means wait
Your camera is pretty, it looks vibrant and colorful. Making Manila looks good hehe
Hi Ali Thank u exploring our Country Philippines ur so frndly ,kind&always smiling vlogger take care&enjoy Ali staying in the Philippines it's more fun in the Philippines
Go to Baguio City Ali.
Manila is filthy. Not much to see, whereas Baguio is the cleanest city in the Philippines.
Great for content. It's Luzon's prime destination imo.
💚♥️ President Rodrigo Duterte just ended his Term a week ago,,but he will forever be remembered for the many great things he has done for the country..❤️
.
None of them swam the beach because it's not allowed..At the moment, it's just for your eyes Only..🎊🎉
