And I KNOW Forrest doesn't need me to step in and 'whack back' Kenty, but he;'s a busy man, and someone needs to put a high pitched voice changer on Kent and point out some of the things he says are actually pretty stupid.

I've never... EVER... EVER... seen Hovind actually be able to directly answer any question asked of him by someone. He will always go off on all kinds of tangents and deflect, and by the time he gets to the question again, he's created a complete strawman of the entire topic of the question, and he answers that. It's easy to answer questions when you just change what the question actually is.
That's one of his primary arguing tactics. It's called a gish gallop.

It can also be used to "switch gears" on a point that wasn't originally addressed (like here the irrelevant tangent over big bang) to change to a different topic to dodge a question someone would otherwise be pressured to answer.
Besides the debunk effort vs number of arguments it can also overload the conversation to the point the gish galloper can claim in good faith to losing track of their own conversation when getting caught on strawmanning the original question halfway through. (Tho Kent does that from the start, other apologists/debaters have more class when doing that.)

Yeah a Gish gallop is a VERY common tactic for creationists. They know they don’t have any arguments against the science anymore so they just rapid-fire a bunch of scientific words in a way that makes the science sound ridiculous, when it takes time to explain the processes, in order to confuse and control the narrative to an uneducated audience.

I stopped the video half way as he was going on about antediluvian fan fiction characters having kids in their 60’s. As if long lived mythical people are scientific evidence.
Ignoring the fact that Genesis is a reboot of older fantasy fictions from older cultures, whose characters may have lived like 10 times longer-where’s the scientific evidence that backs the claims that any of that book is real? Or is it just presupposition that everything in Genesis is true and anything in the real world contradicting it is false?

He often uses the Bible to support his arguments so his best argument seems to be "My book says God is real" well I can say "This book says God was a scam made up by the church to get money" both sentences say something that cannot be proven nor disproven. Oh also there's "The Bible says God loves you and is all powerful and all knowing so he must be real" and I can retort with "The Bible says Go's says it's ok to enslave, rape, torture, and burn people alive. It also says there have been times where God didn't know something and couldn't stop something so therefore he must be fake" Both of these arguments are taken from actual things that the Bible actually says and yet they contradict one another.

I have to honestly say, that voice mod is an improvement. I know it was probably done just for the lolZ, but it really does make him grate on my nerves less. I never realized how much it detested it until you took it away.
The helium voice is good, although the distortion makes it difficult to understand which lie Kent is telling at any given moment.

That comment about Forrest and others liking their echo chambers is hilarious. First, Forrest participates in call in shows where people can call in to argue. Second, he has offered to deate Matt Powell, but powell pussied out. Third, Kent and Powell, and several other apologist channels, have banned people like me from commenting specifically to protect their own echo chambers.

I seriously think that Kent has a major chip on his shoulders because he hasn't made it anywhere as big as other religious conmen/charletons like Kenneth Copeland.
An interesting book on the poor design of the human body is Abby Hafer's "The Not-so Intelligent Designer. Of wisdom teeth, years ago I had an upper tooth removed. The lower one grew and grew and GREW ever upward. The pain was agonizing! When the dentist finally removed that lower tooth, he found that it had grown into the bone of the upper jaw and had dislodged small flecks of bone from that jaw. Godfrey really f*ck*d up that job. As Hafer, points out, a god who would design this body would fail an engineering class horribly.

I'm watching this a couple days after dental surgery, partial removal of 2nd molar with full removal of at least 1 wisdom tooth likely to be required in a year or so. The massive swelling and annoying stitches in my gum along with the fact I'm taking alternating painkillers every 2 hours just to maintain any concentration are making this whole tooth thing hit different

If some set of circumstances occurred so that Hovind tried to 'whack" me, I'd treat it the same way I treat any small child who clearly lacks the education and maturity to handle an intelligent discussion and just ignore him. Let him prattle on. I wouldn't dignify his nonsense by watching or responding to it.
As it is, I would never see or hear him if not for the atheist responses to his gross ignorance and arrogance..
On the one hand, i can see your point. On the other hand, many MANY people see things by Hovind and other apologists and believe it to be true because theyve never been challenged on their beliefs nor seen anything that contradicts the claims they made. One could only hope that maybe some of those people will find their way to reaction video's like this and begin to question their dogmatic beliefs. For the rest of us, sometimes its fun to watch someone make a fool of themselves trying to twist observable facts to suit their unsubstantiated bull.

Hovind is a very old, broken record who hasn't had any new material since the last century. At this point, I'm betting his following is either too dense to understand any well-crafted and factual response or they just adore him too much to go outside their bubble. But, like, that's just my opinion.

Forrest does debate on the Atheist Experience Channel and they routinely give their callers uninterrupted time to explain and defend their claim. Which is more than what people on Kent's side usually provide, they tend to interrupt as a debate tactic because they can't lose if you can't be heard over them. And if you're debate tactics are either shouting over your opponent, or rapid firing questions at them faster than they can answer because you know any answers given will seriously hurt your position, then you don't have a very strong position to defend and you're well aware of it to
