RockmanLabs dud I think this is the first boss ever that I can’t beat I can’t seem to avoid the attacks from the yellow head and the rocks the head throws always fuck me up I’m so frustrated lol
I couldn't beat him effortlessly 20 years ago (I would get hit all the time), but I was able to beat him. I tried the Mega Man X collection on Switch and I sincerely can't beat him now. It's not a reaction thing. For me, it's more like it's harder to recognize the patterns.
ive been looking for strategies to beat the third phase and strategies to beat the second phase without taking too much damage, this really helped, thanks for the assistance

That third phase... I can dodge everything, but I always die to that patern where there is rocks thrown everywhere
Phase 2 is weak to Lightning Web. Edit: Also, Gunner Sigma is supposedly weak to Soul Body, but I think the risk outweighs the reward, having to get so close to use it.
I loved the final phase. An absolute clusterf*ck even by "Sigma Final Form" standards. But honestly was pretty easy once you got the patterns down. Didn't even need to tap into an energy tank unlike the first three games.
He never did the other move he does with the 4 boomerangs which I cannot dodge. How the hell did you get him to only shoot the laser? Edit: Nevermind, I just saw that he aims his scythe towards your direction and you're leading it away from the ground
On X4 PC Port, Sigma 1st and 2nd have their music switched places. Phase 1 (Grim Reaper) has Phase 2 music. Phase 2 (The giant purple body and big Sigma head in the floor) has Phase 1 (Grim Reaper) music. *Odd.*
2 things: 1)Positioning: I try to stay as close to the wall as possible so that the rays from the pike won't hit me 2)Timing: You want to jump as late as possible and start hovering at the very top of your jump. That'll give you the most time. 3)Bonus: I'm assuming you already know that if you move while hovering, the hover lasts a lot less, so, make sure that once you press that hover button, you commit to it and don't move at all!
@@Anti-Yeet Keiser Sigma is really cheesable It's a boss you can learn quite quickly, I think he is way overestimed, in the first phase you can just wall jump on the side where he is and just spam spinning blade, and switch side when he does, he will never touch you. Phase 2 you charge your buster, when he moves you go under him, wall jump and hit him (his hitboxes are his vents, not his head), there is some projectiles that you can easily avoid (even more if you got the hyper chip). Gg you won. I have more trouble on this one that on X3 Sigma, because of the paterns that happen randomly, but that's just me I guess
I had max lives going into this fight ( maybe less from general) and i lost all of them fighting this boss. I took a week break when i reached 4 and then on my last life i followed this strategy of brute forcing the ground sigma which actually worked.

You made it look too difficult and a waste of time. 1st Phase Sigma: You should've hit sigma with Rising Fire when he appears twice then supercharge and hit him when he's about to swipe you with his sickle. Done. It's that quick 2nd Phase Sigma: You should've used Lightning Web to attack when he jumps twice to spin his sickle. Then he's about to use his laser eyes, keep hitting him with the web. You could super charge the web and hit him with more damage. Done. Less than 30 seconds. Last Phase Sigma: Use Ground Hunter when he appears with his brains out, the rest is regular X Blaster.
Supposedly, Gunner Sigma is weak to Soul Body, but it seems too risky that the X-Buster is really the safer option. I don’t want to get that close to Sigma’s face to do damage.
1.- Maybe is slower but safer. 2.- LW is way more difficult to hit that with the buster, and if you miss the shot have to wait until is over, also, if you shoot floor level it creates a barrier that doesn't let you pass to the other way. 3.- Is what the did.
The worst part for me is having to fight all eight maverick bosses again every time i re-enter the stage after refilling my tanks. I really wish they would have brought the hyper chip over from X3. Fuck Sigma's third phase.
@@fiercedeity5734 honestly thats smarter. i used to straight up use the hp refill to refill my tanks. anyways doesn't matter because i can consistently beat this final boss
zeroking290 aero Spamming nova just leaves you open to taking damage, since you freeze inside each of Sigma’s final forms for a second or two before you can fire another nova strike. It’s the only boss where nova isn’t viable, save for maybe the General. Believe me, I’ve tried. It’s a lot of death and rage.
@@alexjimenez997 (this well assume you are using a xbox controller)in deflut settings for x4 it is the X button that does the weapon energy and buster the Y button that does buster only but i personally swap them to the X button buster only and the Y button to Weapon energy and buster.
Not sure if I understand the question, so, hopefully this is what you mean: You have 2 shoot buttons. One always shoots M. Buster, the other shoots selected weapon o(or buster if none selected)

Phase 1 is easy for me without taking damage phase 2 is kinda hard BUT phase 3 is hell
I found if you use x's normal charged attack (even with the ultimate armour) sigma is pretty easy. For dodging you could use nova strike

Man, how are you hovering for that long over the lazers? It feels like every time I do it, it always ends much shorter than this.
2 things:
1)Positioning: I try to stay as close to the wall as possible so that the rays from the pike won't hit me
2)Timing: You want to jump as late as possible and start hovering at the very top of your jump. That'll give you the most time.
3)Bonus: I'm assuming you already know that if you move while hovering, the hover lasts a lot less, so, make sure that once you press that hover button, you commit to it and don't move at all!

Ive killed the 1st and 2nd phases at least 30 times each trying to get halfway through phase 3
Ngl thanks for the assist not so much with sigmas weakness but the strat for the heads helped me polish sigma off having one hit till I died

I never charged the ground hunter. It's the X Buster (you can charge either)
Yea in x4 there is button to use normal x buster even with a subweapon equipped. Very useful

How do you use the blaster with a power equipped???
There are 2 attack buttons, one is buster-only, the other switches to whatever weapon you have equipped or buster if none
