Love your video. I am a local paint contractor in Raleigh NC. I have 2 440's and 1 840. The 440,s are more than three times the age of the 840 yet they have less trouble. Needless to say I would love to see an 840 packed and rod replacement. I am trying to learn this stuff on my own. Repair bills are expensive, takes forever and aren't cheap.

my titan 440I is a little different ser # 21241693 it does not screw into the block. It has a set screw and the stem is shorter than the ones I am seeing to order.Just would like to make sure I am getting the right one. Thanks again good clear instructions.
The part you need is 704-251. When you install the transducer press it into the block by hand. Replace block tighten set screw. Check for leak by slowly building pressure. If a leak appears, drop pressure and reset the transducer.
In my business of painting apartments, I MIGHT use my rig once a month. I have a few skid based rigs like a 440i and an old school SprayTech (sherwin) - is there a product I should run thru the pump section after using the rigs - that will keep the caged ball inside the fluid section from sticking? Seems I'm having to do a quick removal of the inlet hose section and pushing a spudger (hard plastic awl-like tool) to pop the caged ball loose. Would RV antifreeze or a product of that sort work the same as the Graco blue liquid? (looking for economical here as well). Thanks for your vids. I love seeing how these things work and how to repair them since my local shop takes 3-4 weeks for a repair.
Bob SoloMan if you use latex for the most part, RV antifreeze is superior to most anything else. If oil base is your most often used product, then use a mix of kerosene and oil 50/50. Run through the machine. Turn pressure down as low as possible where it still strokes. Once it builds pressure, turn it off. Pull the trigger to drop pressure. Nothing will stop the balls from sticking every time. I have found these two work best and are reusable.
Good information I have a graco linelazer II . My machine sometimes overpressizes and if I take the plug from the transducer off and replug it fixes it and sometimes it takes a couple of tries. Does the plug on the board loosen up or is the transducer plug wear?
Hey Brian, I’ve the push in transducer on my 740! The pump is at least 18 years old and want your advice if I should get a new one and be prepared in case it gets discontinued. EBAY has one oem for around $200 . As always your videos are very helpful and we appreciate it. Thanks
I would definitely do that. The part will not go bad just storing it. I would not get anything that is not Titan manufactured. Be careful, some items list as OEM, but are not.
Hi, have a Graco GMax 3900 gas powered, didn't use it for a while and now prime good but when build pressure stall the engine. Someone told me that can be the clutch but with the switch the clutch engage and disengage. Could be a bad transducer? Thanks
You need to find out what pressure you are getting. If you are building too much pressure, that can stall the engine. High pressure can be caused by a bad transducer. The clutch seems fine.

If it is a Graco, you would need a new filter manifold, control board and transducer at the minimum. The Titan would be much more difficult if it was even possible. There would be no cost advantage.
Got a 395 ultra control board flashing 5 times and my sprayer power shut off so I have to turn on and off the power switch to make it work but as soon as I pull the gun trigger stop running again so I have to on and off the power switch. What will be the problem
Seems that there is an electrical problem between the board and the motor. Unplug the machine, then unplug the motor from the board. Plug the machine in and turn the machine on. Turn the pressure all the way up. The motor will not operate because it is unplugged from the board. If everything else continues with out shutting down (in other words the board stays lighted) then you may have a motor problem. Code 5 states motor not turning or high current.
I’ve got a linelazer II 3900, and I get fluctuations in the pressure. I thought it was the paint at first, now I think it may be either the transducer, pc board or potentiometer . Can someone help, please!
I want to know why my graco 395 when it reaches the pressure I set it to doesn’t stop once it reaches the pressure I set It to . Doesn’t turn off at all. I replace the transducer because it might be that but still doesn’t stop.
Without a pressure gauge to tell us what the pressure is as the machine pumps, it is a little harder to say. My guess is one of two things. You may have a piece of trash stuck in the upper or lower ball. Or, you have a pressure leak caused by bad packings of prime valve. Pull the lower inlet housing off. Make sure the lower ball is free of debris. Look up into the upper section. There is a small hole. Slide a thin screw driver in the hole and move the upper ball around with force. Do not hit he screw driver. The ball should move freely. Put the machine together and try it. If it builds and stops, you are done. If it does not, pull the prime hose out of the water while the prime valve is off or set to spray. If you have fluid that comes out at this point. The prime valve needs to be replaced. If these do not take care of the issue. Contact me back.
my 390 graco stays pumping at full max but when i turn the pressure down to make it stop it want come back on when i turn it back up it starts pumping at max pressure but want stop when gun trigger is released,gun hose all new what could be my problem
I have A titan 440 impact, the manifold is licking, i already got the o ring but can't find Where exactly it goes,? Also Where do i need to go to get certified to fix sprayers, for graco and titan,,,thank you.
There is a grove toward the bottom of the base, not on the removable body. The groove is a continuous circle, not part of the threads. It is a pain to get in without damage. Titan and Graco can direct you to a certified technician from their website.
Question I changed out the transducer on my titan 440 and the pressure not still doesn’t adjust pressure it stays the same no matter if I turn it all the way to the right or in priming mode what can it be ??
I have a Titan 440i, the unit primes and sprays fine, but it has way to much pressure that doesn't change at all when set at a different setting, when I switch the prime valve to spray, it builds up alot of pressure that leaks from the prime spray valve, and filter. So much pressure it blew a hole in a new hose, what could this be? It has new packings and new transducer
It is possible the new transducer is faulty. You can try another. If the transducer you installed is faulty, it does have a warranty. If that is not the issue, then the board has a fault. New board is needed.
Excellent video mate very hopeful, just wondering my graco 595 I’m getting code 02 saying high pressure detected when I start priming it and won’t work so you reckon it’s the transducer needs replacing? Thanks

On my new titan 440. I have continuaty on the motor and everything, even 110v power but motor sound like it's wants to slight turn but it doesn't. Could it be the transducer because it was stored for a long time?
It could be the transducer. The transducer can be damaged by freezing or long term storage. The transducer could be sending the wrong signal and the computer thinks it is under pressure when it is not.

This is off subject- I'm looking at a 1st Gen Graco Ultra Max 1595 for $500. Pump is still working. Should I be worried about a $3000 repair bill down the road?
There is always a possibility of an expensive repair down the road. When buying used, you want to check availability of repair parts based on the age. Test the machine. Allow the machine to build pressure with water, bleed off air. Once the system is loaded and holding pressure you want to see how long before the motor reengages to maintain pressure. Allow it to sit holding the pressure. It will stroke periodically to maintain the pressure, that is normal. The time between the strokes is what you are looking for. If there is a 4 second or less between strokes then there is a pressure leak in the system somewhere. More than 4 seconds and longer, then there should be no issue with pressure leaks. Watch the machine for about 2 mins and take note over that time period. Not just for the first 20 seconds.

I searched the comments, and took your advise to make sure the bottom nut was tight enough, and that fixed it right up. My titan keeps tripping the breaker any idea what could be wrong breaker works good for everything reps saws and everything but soon as I turn the sprayer on trips the breaker
@@brideramirez4210 unplug the motor from the board. Turn the machine on, turn the pressure up. With the board unplugged from the motor, see of the breaker trips.
I have a 8900 Titan paint sprayer. It was purchased in July 2020. It was powered on today and very little pressure to the guns. From your video looks like the transducer. How is it replaced?
@@seacoastrising my suggestion would be take it to a certified service center. The machine is still under warranty. If you were to attempt repairs, it can void the warranty. With that said, check your filters from the machine to the gun. Does the machine stop pumping when the triggers are released? Do you get a burst of pressure when the trigger is pulled and then fade or is the pressure low from the start?
If you turn the machine off, then back on before the screen goes dark, it will say "low voltage". Tou must wait for the screen to go dark before you turn it back on. If this is not the problem, I would remove the surge protector from the switch and connect the switch without the surge protector. If the machine works, replace the surge protector. If these do not work, let me know and we will move forward.
Question: I picked up a titan epic and repacked with a new piston and packing; the suction valve had to be cleaned and now getting some suction: however, the motor still runs at full speed and is not priming........can this be the transducer? if i turn the transducer all the way off the motor stops......................Thoughts?
I do not think the trans ducer is the issue. Pull the pick up hose off, remove the pressure hose. Immerse the lower end of the pump where the pick up tube connects in water and turn it on. It should pick up the water and spray out of the pressure hose connection. Keep extra water handy to refill the container as it runs. After a couple seconds of moving water, reattach the pressure hose and repeat. Make sure to keep the water container full as it runs. Do not let it run dry. If the machine runs and builds pressure then stops, all is well. If the machine does not stop running and fails to build pressure, there is an issue in the pump. Keep the pressure down to about 1/3. You do not need the pressure turned high to do this.
Hi Brian: turned out to be two things: 1. clogged foot valve used the ultrasonic cleaner; it was holding wasunder tap from both sides now clear on inlet side but holding from pump side 2. primer valve was bad too. Used one on from my other titan and it primed right away and shut off Tip for all those out there with old 440 epic.......cut and tube with clamps the intake pipe for easy removal if needed.................Thanks Brian for your help regards
When you say pressure loss, does than mean you begin spraying and the machine is pumping but can't keep up or you spray and the machine does not pump for a short period then begins to pump?

@@MrPembo15 turn the machine off, open the prime valve and turn the machine back on. If it runs, you should be good. If it goes back to the 2 flashes, you will need a transducer.
hi I have a 640 impact, and i have some liquid going through the return hose, I have change everything packings, piston rod, pressure valve. Can you tell me if it may be a transducer going bad? Machine blinks check transducer and disappear!!! it build pressure up to 125 bars (of 221) and then motor don t stop running and I have that leak by the return hose, can you help Thanks
If you have liquid coming from the return line then it can only be one of 3 things. Replace the prime valve, replace the transducer (excessive pressure) of the aluminum block has pressure cutting in the prime valve base (there will be a non circular hole in the base of the prime valve block).

I have a Titan IMPACT 1140 in the display it’s showing low voltage and I’ve plugged the machine to a different outlet but still nothing, any ideas what it could be?
@@Brian_the_repair_guy No problem, I'm almost certain bad rocker switch. Found a way to make it work tho. What I have been doing is leaving the rocker switch on the on position at all times. Just plug it in and unplug lol.

Depending on the age of the machine you can get different signs. Newer unit, you will get an error code of E02 or E03 Older, take the cover off the control box. Turn the machine on. There is an LED that will blink 2 or 3 times then pause. Then repeat the blink. If you don't have this, turn the machine on and prime. If the motor does not turn on, the transducer could be bad. If the motor turns on and your pressure goes very high the transducer could be bad. If the pressure goes low and the motor stops even when the pressure is turned high, the transducer could be bad.

Hey Brian I bought a Titan impact 440 on ebay in October last year when I got it I turned it on it worked so I put in the closet until I got a full time job to use it when I did it started smoking and then it blew the circuit breaker on the pump what can I check to fix it I have a 3/4 inch wrench

@@Brian_the_repair_guy hi Brianso its a graco ultra max 2 490 smart control 2.0 i beleive they call it a stand model i thought it was a low boy which it isnt it doesnt have the wheels lol i no the motor is good i tested it out n have resistance in it with every combination blk 2 red blk 2 blu red 2 blu so i no that that end of it is good at 1st i did have a light flashing i beleive it was 3 if im not mistaken which was transducer so i ordered 1 up put it in no code flashing anymore but still no go go n i tryed every way they tell u to do in the step by step troubleshooting snakes n ladders game of instructions lol what im not getting is it says if there isnt the right pressure it wont start now i no im not the brightest can of checkered paint out there but i no 1+2=12 n as i c it if u need the right pressure 4 it 2 run shouldnt the motor turn on ?????? 2 get 2 the right amount of pressure lol; ??? i got it outta the garbage bin at my buddies job site it was running he came in next morning n wouldnt go mind ya his SOB puppy making employees dont no how to clean anything n it was plugged up solid i took it apart cleaned her up n got everything like brand new 2nd hand loln thats when i seen light flashin n like i said earlier changed part no code flashin no more nothing flashing at all n like i said i went threw all steps n it all good took apart boards n tested caps resistors etc etc n from my knowledge it all seems to test out ok ?????? idk bro im stumped im a mechanic not a painter sorry house painter sorry mechanic/bodyman/painter jack of all trades master of none lol any word of wizdom u can guide me to common lil problems with them tricks of the trade ???? n all ppl that i know that r painters n use these fine quality tools say it should go if no codes n all tests well ??????

I have a problem with titan 440i I don’t know if is the case to replace the translucent sensor. The sprayer hold pressure only with water when I switch for paint it not pressure at all. Anyone can help me out? 😃
This would not be a transducer problem. When you say it holds pressure with water but no paint does this mean your machine will run, prime, build pressure and STOP running only with water?
@@Brian_the_repair_guy The machine was used daily. Maintenance was done regularly. When I use the machine I always wash it with water first and then I switch for the paint.With the water the machine works normally and when I switch to the paint the machine does not hold the pressure.

Hey guy...good day to you! I have a graco 695 with the self cleaning gun attached feature. (Never used it). Just sprayed 72 gal fine...loosing pressure on last 8. Pumps up to 950-1250 then stops. Went through everthing... found you transducer video but have that cleaner mechanism, unlike your example here. Any ideas for me? Thanx for your videos brother!
If you set the pressure control to maximum and the pressure is less than max and the machines stops pumping, then you most likely have a transducer problem. I would attach an analog gauge if you have one to ensure the screen display is correct. The transducer is the cheapest and easiest solution as well as the likely problem. The alternative is the control board or slight possibility the potentiometer.
Not sure which model 795 you have. The most common model of 795 uses part number 243222. If you look on the ID plate and get one of these; model number, part number or unit number from the machine then I can tell you the part number for the transducer. More than likely it is the number I provided above.

@@MarcosOliveira-fw9gv no, it wouldn't be the transducer. The transducer would either give you too much pressure, or low pressure. If you have no pressure, then the first thing I would check is the upper or lower ball. Make sure there is no obstruction. If you are not sure how to check this, let me know and I can make a video on how to check it.
Hi mate sorry predictive texting. Arrgghhhh. The pressure control box has the switch and the pressure control knob. I bought a graco GM3500. The knob won’t turn. It looks kind of corroded but in place there’s not a lot of room to try free it.

@@laurorodriguez2160 grab a paper clip. Bend it so the 2 ends are close together side by side. Unplug the pressure control from the board. Insert the bent paper clip. Plug the machine in and turn the machine on. If it runs, the pressure control is bad. If it still does not run, then the board is bad. Make sure the paper clip is NOT touching any part of the machine.
GOOD MORNING, THANKS FOR THE VIDEO ...I HAVE A AIRLESSCO 540 AND IT HAS A TRANSDUCER AS WELL,MY QUESTION IS THE PRESSURE ON THE DIGITAL STAY ON AT 1500 PSI AND WILL NOT TURN ON UNTIL I MOVE THE PRESSURE KNOB ABOVE THE 1500 PSI AND THAN IT WILL TURN ON AND HOLD PRESSURE ALL THE WAY TO 3300 PSI BUT WHEN I GO TO TURN BACK DOWN TO LOWER SETTING TO 1500 PSI IT TURNS OFF AGAIN.... CAN THIS BE A TRANSDUCER PROBLEMOR SOMETHING ELSE/ IT WORKS FINE AND HOLDS PRESSURE ABOVE THE 1500 PSI , THANKS!
The only wau to know what pressure you have is with a pressure gauge. I would check tjat first and make sure you are getting 3000+ psi at max. If not, then more than likely you have a transducer problem.

@@spackspuiten715 when you turn the machine on, there should be lights on the board. Do the lights come on? If they do, is there flashing? If it flashes, how many times before it repeats?
440. pressure recovery normal and will hold. when trigger is pulled pressure slowly drops. release trigger pressure rebuilds normally. ??? I'm thinking transducer. Yea -Nay?
The difference in set pressure and pressure drop is called the dead band. If your dead band exceeds about 200 psi I would look directly at the transducer first. If you have a 440 IMPACT, then there is also a circuit board under the machine that could be the problem. There is no way for you to know which. My suggestion is replace the transducer and see if it corrects the problem. If it does, then happy days. If it does not, then replace the pressure control board under the IMPACT series and save the new transducer for later.
@@Brian_the_repair_guy @Mark Gonsoulin got the same issue titan 440 impact.... it runs at full bore when the knob is set at its last 2 highest settings no issue.... but at lower setting it sprays and slowly loses all pressure at gun then builds back up like if it where a pump quirt gun
@@tevinthompson4676 my first thought would be the transducer. If it is not working, it will not activate the motor. Depending on the model, the brushes may need to be checked.

Yes, the socket for the the plug can loose connection. Sometimes using hot glue to reset the socket works.

Hi, have a Graco GMax 3900 gas powered, didn't use it for a while and now prime good but when build pressure stall the engine. Someone told me that can be the clutch but with the switch the clutch engage and disengage. Could be a bad transducer?

You need to find out what pressure you are getting. If you are building too much pressure, that can stall the engine. High pressure can be caused by a bad transducer. The clutch seems fine.

If it is a Graco, you would need a new filter manifold, control board and transducer at the minimum. The Titan would be much more difficult if it was even possible.
There would be no cost advantage.
Got a 395 ultra control board flashing 5 times and my sprayer power shut off so I have to turn on and off the power switch to make it work but as soon as I pull the gun trigger stop running again so I have to on and off the power switch. What will be the problem
Seems that there is an electrical problem between the board and the motor. Unplug the machine, then unplug the motor from the board. Plug the machine in and turn the machine on. Turn the pressure all the way up. The motor will not operate because it is unplugged from the board. If everything else continues with out shutting down (in other words the board stays lighted) then you may have a motor problem.
Code 5 states motor not turning or high current.
I’ve got a linelazer II 3900, and I get fluctuations in the pressure. I thought it was the paint at first, now I think it may be either the transducer, pc board or potentiometer . Can someone help, please!
When you say that there is a fluctuation, try to explain exactly what you mean please.
I want to know why my graco 395 when it reaches the pressure I set it to doesn’t stop once it reaches the pressure I set It to . Doesn’t turn off at all. I replace the transducer because it might be that but still doesn’t stop.
Without a pressure gauge to tell us what the pressure is as the machine pumps, it is a little harder to say.
My guess is one of two things. You may have a piece of trash stuck in the upper or lower ball.
Or, you have a pressure leak caused by bad packings of prime valve.
Pull the lower inlet housing off. Make sure the lower ball is free of debris. Look up into the upper section. There is a small hole. Slide a thin screw driver in the hole and move the upper ball around with force. Do not hit he screw driver. The ball should move freely.
Put the machine together and try it. If it builds and stops, you are done.
If it does not, pull the prime hose out of the water while the prime valve is off or set to spray. If you have fluid that comes out at this point. The prime valve needs to be replaced. If these do not take care of the issue. Contact me back.

You either have bad packings or the prime valve is leaking.
I have A titan 440 impact, the manifold is licking, i already got the o ring but can't find Where exactly it goes,? Also Where do i need to go to get certified to fix sprayers, for graco and titan,,,thank you.
There is a grove toward the bottom of the base, not on the removable body. The groove is a continuous circle, not part of the threads. It is a pain to get in without damage. Titan and Graco can direct you to a certified technician from their website.
Question I changed out the transducer on my titan 440 and the pressure not still doesn’t adjust pressure it stays the same no matter if I turn it all the way to the right or in priming mode what can it be ??
If this is a 440 impact, the little computer board under the machine could be back.

I have a Titan 440i, the unit primes and sprays fine, but it has way to much pressure that doesn't change at all when set at a different setting, when I switch the prime valve to spray, it builds up alot of pressure that leaks from the prime spray valve, and filter. So much pressure it blew a hole in a new hose, what could this be? It has new packings and new transducer
It is possible the new transducer is faulty. You can try another. If the transducer you installed is faulty, it does have a warranty.
If that is not the issue, then the board has a fault. New board is needed.

That would be my first thought. That is most common. There are a couple other possibilities, but transducer is the first stop

On my new titan 440. I have continuaty on the motor and everything, even 110v power but motor sound like it's wants to slight turn but it doesn't. Could it be the transducer because it was stored for a long time?
It could be the transducer. The transducer can be damaged by freezing or long term storage. The transducer could be sending the wrong signal and the computer thinks it is under pressure when it is not.

This is off subject- I'm looking at a 1st Gen Graco Ultra Max 1595 for $500. Pump is still working. Should I be worried about a $3000 repair bill down the road?
There is always a possibility of an expensive repair down the road. When buying used, you want to check availability of repair parts based on the age.
Test the machine. Allow the machine to build pressure with water, bleed off air. Once the system is loaded and holding pressure you want to see how long before the motor reengages to maintain pressure. Allow it to sit holding the pressure. It will stroke periodically to maintain the pressure, that is normal. The time between the strokes is what you are looking for.
If there is a 4 second or less between strokes then there is a pressure leak in the system somewhere. More than 4 seconds and longer, then there should be no issue with pressure leaks. Watch the machine for about 2 mins and take note over that time period. Not just for the first 20 seconds.

I searched the comments, and took your advise to make sure the bottom nut was tight enough, and that fixed it right up. @@brideramirez4210 unplug the motor from the board. Turn the machine on, turn the pressure up. With the board unplugged from the motor, see of the breaker trips.
I have a 8900 Titan paint sprayer. It was purchased in July 2020. It was powered on today and very little pressure to the guns. From your video looks like the transducer. How is it replaced?
There is no transducer on an 8900. You have low pressure on the machine and the pressure knob is turned counter clockwise fully?

@@seacoastrising my suggestion would be take it to a certified service center. The machine is still under warranty. If you were to attempt repairs, it can void the warranty.
With that said, check your filters from the machine to the gun.
Does the machine stop pumping when the triggers are released?
Do you get a burst of pressure when the trigger is pulled and then fade or is the pressure low from the start?
I got a 640 titan said low voltage replace it now it don't start any idea what the problem may be ?
If you turn the machine off, then back on before the screen goes dark, it will say "low voltage". Tou must wait for the screen to go dark before you turn it back on.
If this is not the problem, I would remove the surge protector from the switch and connect the switch without the surge protector. If the machine works, replace the surge protector. If these do not work, let me know and we will move forward.

Question: I picked up a titan epic and repacked with a new piston and packing; the suction valve had to be cleaned and now getting some suction: however, the motor still runs at full speed and is not priming........can this be the transducer? if i turn the transducer all the way off the motor stops......................Thoughts?
I do not think the trans ducer is the issue. Pull the pick up hose off, remove the pressure hose. Immerse the lower end of the pump where the pick up tube connects in water and turn it on. It should pick up the water and spray out of the pressure hose connection.
Keep extra water handy to refill the container as it runs.
After a couple seconds of moving water, reattach the pressure hose and repeat. Make sure to keep the water container full as it runs. Do not let it run dry.
If the machine runs and builds pressure then stops, all is well. If the machine does not stop running and fails to build pressure, there is an issue in the pump. Keep the pressure down to about 1/3. You do not need the pressure turned high to do this.

Hi Brian: turned out to be two things: 1. clogged foot valve used the ultrasonic cleaner; it was holding wasunder tap from both sides now clear on inlet side but holding from pump side 2. primer valve was bad too. Used one on from my other titan and it primed right away and shut off Tip for all those out there with old 440 epic.......cut and tube with clamps the intake pipe for easy removal if needed.................Thanks Brian for your help regards

When you say pressure loss, does than mean you begin spraying and the machine is pumping but can't keep up or you spray and the machine does not pump for a short period then begins to pump?

How many blinks before it repeats? The light will blink, then have a short pause, then repeat the blink.

hi I have a 640 impact, and i have some liquid going through the return hose, I have change everything packings, piston rod, pressure valve. Can you tell me if it may be a transducer going bad? Machine blinks check transducer and disappear!!! it build pressure up to 125 bars (of 221) and then motor don t stop running and I have that leak by the return hose, can you help Thanks
If you have liquid coming from the return line then it can only be one of 3 things. Replace the prime valve, replace the transducer (excessive pressure) of the aluminum block has pressure cutting in the prime valve base (there will be a non circular hole in the base of the prime valve block).

The whites go on one side top and bottom the black goes on the other side one on top and one on bottom

Depending on the age of the machine you can get different signs.
Newer unit, you will get an error code of E02 or E03
Older, take the cover off the control box. Turn the machine on. There is an LED that will blink 2 or 3 times then pause. Then repeat the blink.
If you don't have this, turn the machine on and prime. If the motor does not turn on, the transducer could be bad. If the motor turns on and your pressure goes very high the transducer could be bad. If the pressure goes low and the motor stops even when the pressure is turned high, the transducer could be bad.

Hey Brian I bought a Titan impact 440 on ebay in October last year when I got it I turned it on it worked so I put in the closet until I got a full time job to use it when I did it started smoking and then it blew the circuit breaker on the pump what can I check to fix it I have a 3/4 inch wrench
If you have smoke, you either have bad brushes of bad motor. Depending on the model.

@@Brian_the_repair_guy hi Brianso its a graco ultra max 2 490 smart control 2.0 i beleive they call it a stand model i thought it was a low boy which it isnt it doesnt have the wheels lol i no the motor is good i tested it out n have resistance in it with every combination blk 2 red blk 2 blu red 2 blu so i no that that end of it is good at 1st i did have a light flashing i beleive it was 3 if im not mistaken which was transducer so i ordered 1 up put it in no code flashing anymore but still no go go n i tryed every way they tell u to do in the step by step troubleshooting snakes n ladders game of instructions lol what im not getting is it says if there isnt the right pressure it wont start now i no im not the brightest can of checkered paint out there but i no 1+2=12 n as i c it if u need the right pressure 4 it 2 run shouldnt the motor turn on ?????? 2 get 2 the right amount of pressure lol; ???

I have a problem with titan 440i I don’t know if is the case to replace the translucent sensor. The sprayer hold pressure only with water when I switch for paint it not pressure at all. Anyone can help me out? 😃
This would not be a transducer problem. When you say it holds pressure with water but no paint does this mean your machine will run, prime, build pressure and STOP running only with water?
@@Brian_the_repair_guy The machine was used daily. Maintenance was done regularly. When I use the machine I always wash it with water first and then I switch for the paint.With the water the machine works normally and when I switch to the paint the machine does not hold the pressure.

Hey guy...good day to you! I have a graco 695 with the self cleaning gun attached feature. (Never used it). Just sprayed 72 gal fine...loosing pressure on last 8. Pumps up to 950-1250 then stops. Went through everthing... found you transducer video but have that cleaner mechanism, unlike your example here. Any ideas for me? Thanx for your videos brother!
If you set the pressure control to maximum and the pressure is less than max and the machines stops pumping, then you most likely have a transducer problem.
I would attach an analog gauge if you have one to ensure the screen display is correct.
The transducer is the cheapest and easiest solution as well as the likely problem. The alternative is the control board or slight possibility the potentiometer.

Not sure which model 795 you have. The most common model of 795 uses part number 243222.
If you look on the ID plate and get one of these; model number, part number or unit number from the machine then I can tell you the part number for the transducer.
More than likely it is the number I provided above.

If you have no pressure, then the first thing I would check is the upper or lower ball. Make sure there is no obstruction. If you are not sure how to check this, let me know and I can make a video on how to check it.

I bought a graco GM3500.
The knob won’t turn. It looks kind of corroded but in place there’s not a lot of room to try free it.

@@laurorodriguez2160 grab a paper clip. Bend it so the 2 ends are close together side by side. Unplug the pressure control from the board. Insert the bent paper clip. Plug the machine in and turn the machine on. If it runs, the pressure control is bad. If it still does not run, then the board is bad. Make sure the paper clip is NOT touching any part of the machine.

My 695 starts and shuts off...Can l run the sprayer with out the transfucer just to check if the motor runs

The only wau to know what pressure you have is with a pressure gauge. I would check tjat first and make sure you are getting 3000+ psi at max. If not, then more than likely you have a transducer problem.

The difference in set pressure and pressure drop is called the dead band. If your dead band exceeds about 200 psi I would look directly at the transducer first. If you have a 440 IMPACT, then there is also a circuit board under the machine that could be the problem. There is no way for you to know which. My suggestion is replace the transducer and see if it corrects the problem. If it does, then happy days. If it does not, then replace the pressure control board under the IMPACT series and save the new transducer for later.
@@Brian_the_repair_guy @Mark Gonsoulin got the same issue titan 440 impact.... it runs at full bore when the knob is set at its last 2 highest settings no issue.... but at lower setting it sprays and slowly loses all pressure at gun then builds back up like if it where a pump quirt gun

@@tevinthompson4676 my first thought would be the transducer. If it is not working, it will not activate the motor. Depending on the model, the brushes may need to be checked.
