This is something Vince McMahon could never understand also Vince McMahon can't stand seeing this or any of this video from the old NWA days especially on TH-cam and the fans that continue to leave comments today. This will always be in Vince McMahon's thorn in his side, because his company could never be like this. And you'll never see anything like this again, this was one of those shooting stars, you seen it once and if you were lucky to ride it then you got lucky and in the 80s and early 90s we were lucky enough to be able to have this. This only comes around once in a lifetime, you'll never have wrestlers like this from the NWA even their promos and interviews were top-notch. You just won't ever see that ever again. This is what keeps Vince McMahon up late nights, he could never achieve what they've done here in the 80s and the NWA. End of story...
If I remember correctly, this was right before their cage match - in which once again, The Koloffs beat him up and once again Dusty Rhodes showed up, but so did The Andersons, and they beat the shit out of Dusty and were hated from that day on

Such great times in 1985, Ric Flair and his Horsemen, Magnum T.A., Dusty Rhodes, The Freebirds, Ivan and Nikita Koloff(With Krusher Kruschev) as “The World 6 Man Tag Team Champions”, and let’s not forget Jim Cornette’s Midnight Express along with the The Rock and Roll Express. Back at a time in Los Angeles when I would be watching all of this Every Saturday Afternoon at 3 P.M. on Superstation WTBS - Atlanta as World Championship Wrestling. How I would love to turn the clock back again.
I like the part where Nikita tries to rip the shirt in half and can’t so he tries biting it and gives up. Guess flair wasn’t lying about the quality of the clothes he wore.
This had to be the week before Ric’s classic “spilt liquor” rant - one of the greatest promos of all time. Loved The Russians back then...their classic battles with the Road Warriors were epic. Heel vs. heel...awesome!

Probably one of the last times you'll ever see that, too! In front of the fans, they were never best of friends. In this case, however, Dusty must've felt obligated to help Ric Flair, even if they had been enemies in the past. Wrestling, just like Politics, makes for strange bedfellows... dont'cha think?!?

i'm glad to find some old school wrestling footage here!!! i met "Ivan Koloff" at a PR event, he is actually a pretty cool guy. Canadian if I'm not mistaken.
Yes, very nice guy after he got off the drugs and dedicated himself to Jesus. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, grew up on a dairy farm in rural Ontario, and pro wrestling kept him out of a life of crime, but did enable him for drugs. Once he stopped doing them, he was a great person, gave a powerful testimony, and he was living in Winterville, North Carolina for the last years of his life. It's right next to Greenville where East Carolina University is. Sadly, he passed away in 2017.
Koloff couldn't rip his shirt & he tried to bight it & he still couldn't....hahahahha....I actually go to see Flair vs Nikita n Greensboro at the 1st Grat American Bash...Flair's entrance was in a fucking helicopter...Was fucking cool....
