Good job on your build! I actually bought the Fruble Camping Kit Lite this week, and it solves some of the problems you were discussing - including the drop, the angling, and what to do with the trunk covers. It's a bit pricey, but worth it for me since I am going to be living out of it for the next 3 months. I built it out today and love it.
@@davidaparicio2313 no I didn’t, for me that’s a huge hassle to do that every time I go camping. With the platform I just built it once and then it just lives there and I don’t have to do anything else.
@@HongyiMC that is an excellent question…truthfully I may not end up doing phase 2 because I don’t have the tools or patience to figure it out 😅 plus I’ve only done about 4 major trips this year so it’s not at the top of my priority list at the moment. But ya never know!
I feel this may be too much work for what you get out of it. If you're trying to resolve the mattress from sliding down, try using velcro on the bottom of your mattress.
Thanks for the feedback, the Velcro actually destroys the fabric material on the bottom pieces. And it’s not the mattress that slides down. It’s my body that slides down. lol.

@@HW-fj6ip nice that’s awesome!
Nice, did you try detaching the back row Cushing ? Is super easy to do and it makes the back almost flat :)

Hi, this is an awesome work. Will give this a go and see how it goes and if I could figure out the phase 2 with some help.
Thank you! Good luck!
Another’s great video from you, thanks for sharing how you made the platform! Will be copying on my Model Y! 👍
Thank you for the comment! So glad it was helpful!
Record the audio locally on the mic itself as a backup. Simply press the button on the side to start and stop recording. Sync it up later in post.
Will this work with the modern spare ?
@@jsoto1972 I’m not sure, I don’t carry a spare because the extra weight drains the battery faster.
When are you doing phase 2 plzzz

Thank you for the ideas.
Thanks for watching!

Let us know if you do a phase 2!
If I do, it's because you're helping me hahah. I don't see myself doing phase 2 anytime soon unless I get some expert help!
