- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge unveils a brand new Radical Reptiles DLC, available now on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Radical Reptiles introduces two fan-favorites as playable fighters:
Radical surfer and trusted friend to the Turtles: Mondo Gecko
Physics student turned reptilian rapscallion: Mona Lisa
Whether it’s by dealing righteous damage on a skateboard or launching deadly chemical concoctions, this powerhouse duo is ready to rumble with the Foot Clan!
And that’s not all! A free update is also available for all players: a rockin’ Remix mode of the official soundtrack featuring amazing guest artists.
For those of you confused about these character:
-Mona Lisa appeared in one episode of the 80's cartoon as a potential love interest for Raphael. Despite only appearing for a single episode, she quickly became a fan favorite.
-Mondo Gecko also appeared in the 80's cartoon and was a regular reoccurring character in the Archie comics.
-Both of them also had action figure in the original toy line, and have both been adapted into the 2012 CGI cartoon and IDW comics continuity.
Mondo Gecko also appeared in the Mutant Mayham continuity

The update needs to be a new story to play thru, unless another game is coming out. I’d like a new story / game that allows dlc use of rocksteady and bebop

They can put all those updates they want and I will buy them because they are totally nailing them. They are doing an amazing wonderful job.
Yeah I thought they were officially done with the game and it was already perfect after the last dlc too, but this definitely is an awesome surprise.
Yea but you got to say they should have done it months ago 2024 is almost over plus tmnt mutant mayhem video game is coming out in October and there's that new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Rita's Rewind beat em up game that's coming out this year on all game consoles but who knows what month it's going to be release ?

I just wish they also updated the Survival mode with better stages and content. The way it is now is underwhelming at best. The one from SoR 4 is way better.
If they’re still throwing out surprise updates then playable bosses might actually become a thing.
I'd rather not have playable bosses. I'd like some more levels though.
You can play as Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady in Survival.

Definitely has lots of "tude." Had the Mondo action figure, so it is definitely radical to have him on board.
Finally, a Ninja Turtles game where you can make a full six person team that include no turtles
And a full six-person team with all mutants.

As a huge Turtles fan who grew up with the 80s cartoon, I am beyond excited for these 2 characters! I hope Raph and Mona have a special high five!

Fantastic! Mona Lisa was actually one of the ones I was _really_ hoping would be playable, so I'm very happy to see her in the game at last. Mondo Gecko's a nice bonus as well!

For a moment I thought they would add the frogs, but these two are cool.
Unfortunately, I doubt they'd add the Punk Frogs as playable characters, given their role in the game already.
@@Ability-King-KK I would've been cool if the punk frogs stayed villains. I can't quite remember Mona Lisa from the show, but I liked the mutant enemies of the turtles and I hear that Mona Lisa was a love interest for Raphael.

I was shocked to see that they were doing more DLC after Usagi and Karai. I figured they were it, but I'm glad I was wrong. We now have Raph's girlfriend and Mikey's best friend on the roster. If we're getting more characters in the future, I wonder who else they could add.

Yeah, TMNT 1987 and Battletoads have both been making a comeback in the gaming world as of recently, so they should do a crossover. Just get the license holders to agree or whatever.

Streets of Rage 4 and Shredder’s Revenge are easily the greatest beat ‘em ups of all time.
Tmnt is. SoR4 isn’t as good imo.
@@smellywaffels1967 gotta disagree completely, I played TMNT first and then payed SoR4 and was blown away at how much better it just *feels* to play, plus there’s a way deeper moveset you can do but it’s not overly complicated like a fighting game.
TMNT is still incredible don’t get me wrong especially with 6 player co-op. But for example: TMNT’s survival DLC is literally just a blatant copy of SoR4’s
This game has surpassed all expectations and more, very rare for a game of this decade.
IN A MILLION YEARS DID I EXPECT MORE OF THIS.
I AM ALL FOR IT.
Meanwhile SoR4 fans waiting on Skate.
TMNT and Toxic Crusaders beat em up games? What’s next? Street Sharks? Extreme Dinosaurs? Or maybe they’ll add the original Toxic Avenger to the Toxic Crusaders game for comparison?

Now there’s a deep cut from the 80s continuity.
Would love to see what their version of Alopex, Angel, Kitsune, Baron Toad, Koya, Bludgeon, Sally Pride, Old Tom, Mafame Null, Zodiac, Kristen, Jennika, and other IDW characters would look like in the original cartoon design ... not to mention the return of Aska, Armageddon, War, Chrome Dome, etc.

Funny, I was just reading the latest issue of TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures that had Mona Lisa appear, and now I see that she’s now a playable character in Shredder’s Revenge alongside Mondo Gecko. What an unexpected but delightful surprise~

Hopefully there is a complete version latter on with all the DLC , i know there is one with the first DLC but we need all in the cart/disc

All we needed was a versus mode and battle royale, maybe a new character
The game did specify 'Free Update,' so it might be possible that the areas in Survival will be added as extra levels like it's a multiverse continuation after Super Shredder. In fact if you play Survival cutscenes and watch the intros you'll notice that the Neutrinos specify a "black and white shredder," meaning if they add the time periods as extra levels, it'd end on the Mirage dimension and you fight original black and white shredder.
I would say just make a new game at that point, but we shall see.
i legit didn't even know these characters existed until now, and i love them.
Mona Lisa was my favorite one shot character from the toon as a kid so this makes me quite happy.
Never has a game given me everything I've wanted. Mondo is the cherry on top of this delicious cake.

My prayers have been heard.beeing able to play as gecko mundo, usagi yojimbo and casey jones is all I wanted for this game. Hope one day we will get a remake of tournament fighters as well.

Between this and the TMNT Saturday Mourning Adventures Continued comic, I'm glad Mona Lisa is finally getting some time to shine. Also I think this trailer got released early? The DLC isn't listed on Steam yet and the game's developer hasn't even announced it yet.
According to the 80's cartoon, Mondo Gecko is the 5th brother of the Turtles. Being in the bowl with thm and being mutated at the same time. But he was washed away in the sewer.

Well this is definitely unexpected😮 I recognized the first dlc character introduced in the trailer because she was in the background of one of the survival stages, but the second one is definitely new to me too. Guess I'll be playing this again soon😄

I definitely remember Mona Lisa. It’s a raph heavy episode where he ends up on a cruise ship for a costume party and he and Lisa meet and hit it off when they realize they’re both mutants. Damn what was it called?
