The same one on the work van I use is not smooth like this, it's terrible. Also don't forget to hit the unlock latch or you'll bend the handle like I did.

How do you hit the unlock latch? I just got a new work van with this pre installed and I don’t wanna bend the bar

At approximately 0:34 you can see the latch. It is a black u shaped latch at the end of the bracket, lower right side there are two bolts above it. You push it up on left side when your facing it, then it lets you pivot the arms.
