Eureka is a port city in Northern California. Its Old Town district features elaborate Victorian houses such as the nearby Carson Mansion. Sequoia Park Zoo is home to pandas and primates, and features a walk-through aviary. Next to the zoo, Sequoia Park is home to massive old-growth redwood trees. Guided boat cruises aboard the early-1900s Madaket ferry take in the sights, seals and birdlife of Humboldt Bay.

The fog, cool temps, the homeless drug addicts, the crime, $6 gallon gas, high prices on everything, poor medical care, lousy shopping opportunities, we have it all.

Homeless are an extreme minority, cool weather, access to most necessities besides decent private medical care (there is St Joes),nice downtown, generally respectful people who wave to their neighbors and lookout for eachother for petty crime that happens literally everywhere. Easy access to rivers, parks and affordable housing

I've lived in Eureka since 1950. All the reasons I loved Eureka died in the mid 1970's. Then it turned into a bunch of drug addicted environmentalists.

There are a couple of nice houses and buildings in Eureka however the town itself is mostly a dump. The city hall is ugly. The industrial area is run down. I lived there for three years, I should know.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
