Possibly, though I have noticed with some of the oldest two-barrier crossings (other examples include Levisham and Blair Atholl) that one often seems to be delayed as opposed to the other. Then again, may be to do with their age rather than an older design.

I have seen many videos of the barriers having problems here. I think its the wind pushing them back, making it harder for them to lower.
