Ngl for the Jason misconception Video Him being DC's Punisher is the biggest misconception considering Frank Castle (Punisher) wouldn't even like Jason cuz Jason's a crime lord, drug lord etc. The only character in Marvel Jason probably would get along with is Wilson Fisk (Spider-Man villain) It would be like the time where he teamed up with Brick (Green Arrow villain) in B&GA
Now that I think about it the new DCEU having a Robin at all is a pleasant surprise. It's so weird how underutilized or just straight up ignored all the Robins have been when it comes to the live action side of things.
Duke with the "We are Robin" thing could work as a heroic antagonist to Jason if he's still doing his crime lord thing. At least, that's how I'd use him.
i always wanted a story that fully explores the dynamic between jason and dick, purely because that has the potential to be pretty good, i even came up with a basic synopsis. have jasons return be a good thing in the bat families eyes, and have dick investigating a series of murders of former joker gang members who have retired from crime, and come to realise its been jason killing the people who kidnapped him whilst they worked for the joker, confront batman, who admits he knew, but was conflicted on how to approach jason, climax of the movie sees dick and jason fighting, lots of powerful dialouge about what it means to be the son of batman, and then have batman save dick from jason, who by this point has picked up a crowbar and is wailing on dick, and seeing that batman saved dick in his time of need where he failed him, he picks up a gun and blindly shoots at batman, he then escapes, throwing away his R patch in a final scene.
@@sumbuddisrants6511 they are saying that Jason gets viewed AS a Nightwing Clone for not killing and stealing his relationship and Huntress cuz of fanon
I swear I don't hate Tim LMAO, Its just certain aspects of the character I really don't like. And in the case of this list I just can't justify having Tim over like any of the other character's who made the list. They just offer more as characters and Tim's role is overall easily replaceable. I liked Tim when he first started out but the longer the character stayed the more cringe he became to me. I hated how his existence started to diminish other characters in order to prop him up and none of the "drama" they added to his life did anything for me. It was all mostly "oh no X person in my life died now I'm gonna get really sad and blame myself". It's just a shittier version of some of Bruce's personal drama, which is exactly what he became towards the end kinda a shittier less interesting Bruce Wayne. And I could never understand how people ate that stuff up back then and even up to today. If I ever decide to re-read his old stuff again I'll probably drop a video on my thoughts on Tim Drake. Since my opinions on him are fairly out there compared to most Batman fans. But its been so long since I actually read his stuff, that maybe age + time could change my opinion on him as a whole.
I genuinely don't know what DC is even trying to do with Tim. I feel like he shouldn't be this hard to give half decent stories to, but like DC is fighting for their life to do it.
@@sumbuddisrants6511 By his existence diminishing other characters I'm assuming you're referring to Jason's death being interpreted as his own fault? Along with the best Robin hype?
@@sumbuddisrants6511 she is my favorite batgirl 😊 also Stephine's character is so irreparably tied to Tim drake she might not completely work without him
Tbh, I think Steph works perfectly fine without Tim. My honest opinion is that he actually just holds her character back. Between that duo, I always found Steph to be the more interesting one. It's just that whenever she gets something good, it's immediately ripped away from her, like Robin, Batgirl, and more.
Honestly, I don't think Signal's design is that bad. The yellow is a bit weird at first but it grew on me, the helmet on the other hand is horridness, it makes him look like a Funko Pop in some shots it's that bad, someone needs to get that man a proper cowl already.
Honestly Signal's design isn't the worst Bat-Fam design I've seen, that would still go to Jason's Mortal Kombat outfit LMAO. But Duke's design just makes him look like a cornball I can't take him seriously at all.
I like the video and pretty much agree with everything/want that for the Gunn universe. Oracle Babs is awesome and I adore her dynamic with Cass and Steph. I need your Jason concept as a story. If there is a Nightwing movie, which comic would you base it off?
I would love for them to adapt aspects of Devin Grayson's tenure with Di- Aight. I'm gonna stop playing. I love to see them adapt aspects of Dixons run but adding new elements to keep things fresh. I love how Dixon set up Bludhaven to be a place where crime is hidden and "out of sight." I love how Dick had to get a job, an apartment, etc, while juggling the Nightwing stuff. What I'm tryna say is I want them to start with a Dick who has a bit of a chip on his shoulder and something to prove who's clearly WAY out of his depth in being a solo hero in the crime ridden Bludhaven. But despite the odds stacked against him, he never gives up and runs back to "daddy." He somehow finds a way to win without making sacrifices. Last thing but I loved the fact Dick had to go job hunting and whatnot despite being a billonares son because it makes him feel more like a every man and makes to believable that he can relate to the people of Bludhaven and change the city for the better because he's one of "them" I feel like in alot of Superhero stories forget the man behind the mask is often forgotten and I think that's a crime in regards to Dick. Nightwing biggest strength is that he's clearly just another dude under the mask he dosent really try to make himself into a "symbol" or anything beyond imo. Also agreed, Oracle Babs is goated. Honestly, I kinda wish more adaptations gave the other Batgirls a try. I feel like I find them to generally be most intresting chracters than the last 2 Robins? Also, Steph deserves another chance at being Robin she was honestly great for the role. Just editorial really wanted to kill her off in war games. Also, last thing if you watch Part 2 of "The Problems with Modern Redhood," I actually give a bit more of an in-depth concept for Jason's story. A lot of people really liked it and I've been meaning to make more vids like that in the future so check that out if you haven't already!
