Split Wood in NO TIME | Best Log Splitter

- Some of the most fun I can have is running a #chainsaw. After that is making wood with either a splitting #axe or my #logsplitter by @SplitFireSalesInc. I have found #firewood is a great way to get outside and rest your mind.
In this video, I run the Split-Fire 3490 wood splitter to clean up the rest of my log pile that was delilvered a couple months ago by @RafterERanch . If I had focused on this task alone, the pile would have been gone weeks ago. Like you, I have many other things that I am trying to accomplish. Today, we finish the pile!

I got my Split-fire 2265 last year. I also got the optional log lifter. Like you I had split by hand all those years, but now at 62 years old and a bad shoulder, I knew it was time to quit hurting myself. I do wish mine had the four-way wedge option. Since my fireplace insert will accept the longer wood, I now have trained myself to cut the wood to just fit between the wedge and the end stop. It cuts down on work, because I am splitting fewer pieces out of the same volume of wood.
That sounds like a great idea! If I had a large wide wood stove and was not selling any wood, I think that I would adopt the same sort of process as well. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and glad you were able to get such an excellent machine. Are you thrilled with it?
That log's spliter is awesome Joe I can remember rolling them logs hurting my back
It is truly a phenomenal machine to have in my possession. Sure has made things much easier around here.
You've become the Superoakiesman! That was a great motivater.
Sure thank you for watching. More great stuff to come!
I, too, own a 3490 unit myself. You do a great job operating it as a solo operator. The only thing you could do to improve is by adding additional operators to help load and remove. IMHO, you got it going on, excellent .
I have found the machine to be very flexible whether it is just me or if I have some help. I love running it for sure! I need A LOT more wood though now! Like another few Cord worth!
Made quick work of that pile!
Especially cause I didn't just sit there and hammer at it. Kinda leisurely worked at it here and there and really didn't put much time into it. Thanks AP
Nice running splitter 👍👍
Thank you 902
Makes quick work of any wood.
and you now have first hand experience. I just edited my Eastonmade video buddy.
Some of my wood is that small but it burns fast being so small. I have bigger pieces especially for when im sleeping so fire will ladt at least 7hrs. Good stuff see ya next time!
Thank you Ted. Appreciate you as always friend!
First video I've seen of yours. Wearing the chaps isn't necessarily a bad thing in my opinion when splitting. They provide a bit more protection for your legs and your pant while splitting.
My only suggestion to your process (so far) is the the working side of the splitter could use a slightly higher/wider rail so that pieces don't roll off as easily towards you. That and a "working table" to sit to your left side where you can put pieces out of the road while you are breaking down bigger pieces. After doing a number of hours recently on my own splitter I decided this morning that I'm going to add a table for when breaking down big bits and it's not convenient to have them on the far side.
I sure appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. My setup moves around quite a bit and my plant with this splitter is to take it to the tree when I cut most of the time. I am fairly satisfied with the amount of work space I have due to the log lift. Again, thank you for watching and commenting. It is always great to hear from ppl and get different perspectives!
❤ that splitter 🙏🏿🇺🇸🪓

I'd be curious to see the inside of that white oak
me too man!
Good job 👍
I’m looking at a split fire myself. I’m taking tree service wood now and it’s huge!
Do you believe the split fire would do well with twisted knotted wood?
I’m either going with split fire or get a vertical splitter. Not sure.
I think that you would very satisfied with the machines capability. If you watch some of my other videos I kinda show how it does in all sorts of wood. I find that if the piece of wood is too gnarly to split, it likely isn't going to be sellable firewood either cause it isn't going to stack at all. I would rather cut it with a chainsaw or use it personally. The machines has split everything I wanted it to and made sense to split. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Is the splitter going or gone? It works so well.
It just makes my logs disappear a little more quickly than anticipated.
nice
thank you much!
👍👍 find out if that log is still useful- or it will bug you forever!
That is good idea. I have contemplated bucking it into firewood man. I just dont want to do that. I am left thinking maybe I should so at least it doesn't get completely wasted.
Mornin
Morning sir!
Get rid of the four way..
please state why. I did not see an issue with it and enjoy using it.
Good morning I think the best thing you could do better is send me that splitter and that Echo 620 ported lol
hahahahaah... it is a winning combo for sure. Do you burn a lot of wood?
@@oakiewoodsman about a cord and a half depending on how cold it gets down here in Louisiana
excellent. If you had a splitter like this, would start selling or do you already sell?
Yes sir I do sell got a Troybilt splitter back breaker
awesome man. Thank you for writing back. be safe!
