I think Nigerians will find the American palate too sweet. Even the Coke bottled in Nigeria are not as sweet as those in America. Our cereals also have waaaay less sugar than those in the USA, so I can understand why you will find it mild. Glad you liked the strawberry candy though😊(we call them sweets not candies🙃😁)
100% agree! I’m Nigerian but have lived in America longer than in Nigeria and I still prefer the mild sweetness of our Nigerian snacks! American snacks are either too sweet, salty or sour eww. I spend way too much money buying snacks from the African store haha .
First of all, these are not typical traditional Nigerian snacks. Our local snacks have little or no sugar, artificial additives. Our "real" snacks are; plantain chips, puff puff, palm kernel nuts, coconuts, wild bush berries, roasted groundnuts, roasted maize and other natural organic snacks.
One thing you should try is TOM TOM and cold water …. The cream cracker has different types ( there’re ones with higher creaminess and dry ones for people who are trying to take in lesser oil food ) Digestive one of my most loved Just found you guys channel ❤️❤️❤️🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Very cool snacks in this one! I'm not familiar with any foods from Africa except Moroccan and Kenyan food. Very interesting history lesson on this biscuits! Keep pushing!
Hi its nice to see you both try our snacks.i like how you compared almost every snack with something that looked or tasted similar to something you've had.what can you compare the yale spicy fish biscuits to in taste
It almost reminds me of this snack I had growing up - texturally it reminds me of chicken biscuits! Flavor wise it’s similar too but more fish than chicken, but I think flavor profile similar saltiness!
@TwinsTry oh wow,I'm gonna have to look for some chicken biscuits now 😋. Thanks for all you both do.i used to be almost nervous to try new foods but it's something I'm more willing to try these days, wishing you both success
not sure how representative this is but damn, i find it interesting that it's primarily crackers and cookies. not so much choclate and crisps like in most other countries i know.
Hi. I'm Ghanaian and we also have Tom Tom Toffees here. I don't know how liquorice tastes like so I don't know what you are talking about. All I taste is mint in it. But if you should try any Ghanaian snacks, please go for Robb Toffees and Ahonka Ginger since you don't like the Tom Tom ones when it comes to Toffees that clear your sinuses.
