Ok I installed mine today. What a pain in the azz. It was a bitch to take out because when you try taking it out it wont clear the glass if the glass is down . It took me an hour to figure that out lol. So for others willing to try it. Make sure you raise window all the way up and push on the glass a bit on the bottom so u can pop out the regulator and also do same thing when you try to pop the new one in.
3rd time fixing this...the rubber ring isolator in the drive gear deteriorated and the gear seperated from the square drive. The gear is drive by a plate that is bonded to a rubber ring and then another plate is bonded on other side with the square drive, sort of a sandwich. I gave up trying to epoxy the plated back to what was left of the rubber (none) so I just flipped the square drive plate and tack welded it to the gear drive plate. It works finally but now my front portion of the window is hanging up going down causing it to bind (and break any glued plate repair). Ive greased the path, even the seals but it keeps cocking and hangin up on the front edge. Its as if the trolley that became disconnected on your vid is not keeping the window level? Stumped.
Unbelievable! My window was going up all of a sudden i heard a snap. Now its open about an inch now and i cant push it up manually either. Anyway when you remove the 9 bolts are any of them attached to the window? Thanks
Currently stuck. I have all bolts removed except the twp 14 mm special bolts behind the window . How did you bring the window halfway down if the window is rolled up all the way? There is no power being fed to that?
Easier to undo the 2 x window bolts by spinning the disk on the outward facing part at bottom of window, just use some pliers to insert into slots and spin anticlockwise, its a nightmare trying to get the ones on inside with 14mm spanner as they are square head flat config and going it blind is not the right option.
Just to follow up... I followed your video and got it all apart in less than an hour. Now I need to locate a new regulator - my steel cable is broken, not broken off the plastic slide thingy but actually snapped and all frayed out. I did run into the same thing Tony C mentioned in his comment above, i.e. that you have to push on the glass and really fight with it to get the top of the regulator / slide thing to come out. Still it was easier than expected (I have almost a phobia about going into doors since they never seem to go back together well - lol)
Damn I have those wheels too they look really good if you paint the face white with the gold studs and center caps 🙆🏻 do y'all have a Instagram we can follow?
We were gonna fix the curb rash on my 350z wheels. These wheels in the video are for sale! Brand new hankook tires too 300 total. And as of right now we have our personal ones, @miteshrathod and @the_bravehart_

Deff will. Its on its way. Thanks
Those circle things that hold the glass and go up and down the metal thing, what are those called? That’s the only part that’s messed on my soarer
square nuts? not sure what they are actually called.
Doesn't even show removing or reinstalling it, useless

my window broke off the regulator assembly so it was easy to move the window up and down
Where did you buy your window regulator? Can't seem to find one for my '98 without getting torn a new one..
I bought mine off of amazon!
goo.gl/Bp63MJ this is the list of regulators that should work!
How did you know it was not simply a window switch assembly problem (which is common as dirt)?

THANKS!
