In the "Top 10 videogames of 2014" he promised more reviews for 2015. In the "AngryJoeShow Expands" video, released fall 2015, he said OJ was hired full time and Delrith part time, which would result in "way more reviews". Today he promises more reviews for 2017. Cant wait
In the AJS June 2016 update vlog! + E3 coverage video, he says that after E3, he is going to put out an angry review almost every other Friday (so 2 angry reviews per month). He also asks his community in that video what they want to see from E3, so he can do interviews and impressions. In the end he uploaded 3 videos from E3: one interview, one impression and a top 10 games of E3 video which was recorded in his hotel room just before he had to leave. In the AJS Update: reviews + eye surgery video (3 months ago), he says that he won’t be able to make all the reviews he wanted to. Now he says he’s not going to be able to make to make reviews for any of the games that just launched and he’s going to make more next year. I really don’t like ‘’hating’’ on Joe, but I think this happened one too many times. I’m not demanding angry reviews like many others do, but just a schedule or more openness from Joe. I just want the angry review-schedule to be more consistent. I don’t care if that means we get a review every month, every two months, every year or never again, but I at least want to know what games I can expect a review for so I don’t have to wait a month before realizing that I need to go somewhere else for a review. If Joe doesn’t want to make Angry reviews at all anymore, he’s also free to do that, but he needs to at least say it so all the people (including me) who DO want them can unsubscribe and let the fan base restore itself, because right now it’s war over here.
A short-lasting health issue isn't a valid excuse for making promises and not deliver repeatedly over the last 2 years or so. That's the deal - he's not being honest with us anymore.
Joe you really ought to listen to your fans more. I know this is a show and not a gaming review channel but let's face it; the majority are here for your excellent game reviews. Not your poor generic reaction vids. Nor your thoroughly average movie reviews. I really think they ought to take priority over everything else. I mean it's because of the success of those Angry Reviews that you are in the comfortable financial situation that you're in now. By ignoring our criticism you are essentially giving the finger to all the loyal people who have supported you over the years and made you the youtube star that you are now. This is not about us being 'entitled" or you "owing" us anything. It's about you at least respecting us and trying to please us a bit more. I mean most big game releases you miss without giving us a scrap of information or having the decency to give us a proper explanation. I mean sure we're all very busy sometimes but you don't even try to make up for it later or by catching up on any games you previously missed. And instead what do you do? You use that well earned loyal fanbase raise some extra cash by doing promotional vids (which is basically just a long sponsored video advert) and cheap let's plays/reaction vids. The irony is I would have no problem watching them if you at least tried to do a bit for us. Dude, you're the one who taught us to stand up to companies trying to take advantage of us when you're at times doing pretty much the same thing. True, we don't pay for these videos but you do make money off of our views. This is your job Joe. Had you geen working for a company you would have probably been fired long ago. I understand the angry reviews take hours and hours to make but c'mon joe, you barely pump out one Review a month now. For years you've been saying; no worries guys, I'll do lot's more Angry Reviews for you next time, but you never deliver on these promises. The music is fine. He fallen to craziness that twitch money got to his head. I personally like to listen to Final Fantasy 13 OST instead of XV OST in the car radio. Final Fantasy XV music is superb.

Joe pointed out some valid criticisms of FFXV. I agree that the driving mechanics were weird and one of the weakest parts of the game. But complaining about the music being lazy and shitting on it is a bit too much. He was shitting on the chocobo theme in the chocobo ranch, just because he isn't familiar with the it. The main menu theme and the battle music, especially fighting some boss, in the story or a side boss, were pretty epic. Even the ones that Joe complained weren't even bad, and that's what's annoying me the most. Granted, he is entitled to his own opinion, but people are also entitled to have an opinion especially if Joe's opinion feels way out of character.

I actually think the music in this game is beautifully composed... Gratia Mundi, Omnis Lacrima, Apocalypsis Noctis, and Somnus? All masterpieces in my eyes.
Misterbiggs there's a few standouts that are decent but not iconic like entire soundtracks have been during the sakaguchi/uematsu era. I don't think anything in this game surpasses stuff from other games in this era like skyrim or even other shimamura works like super mario rpg. Most of it is atmospheric elevator music. It's downright bad for the most part. Sorry but this is pretty objective. You can enjoy it if you want to, opinions are opinions after all.

I get there is some rather generic sounding music for final fantasy like when you go to town resting spots but it's like the equivalent of being in a tavern in a medieval game...I think those songs still fit the road trip Americana vibe. absolutely not, maybe 20 years ago.. but now their nokia ringtone music doesnt really cut it, some of the songs that play when you fight is ok, but for the most part the game went for nostalgia just putting old music in from previous games.. the same damn songs for certain towns and areas gets really annoying really fast tbh. in a game where you're forced to spend so much time in a car that you can barley drive, you would think after a decade of development they could take time to add a large new playlist of something besides elevator music

Tyke The soundtrack is amazing too. There are multiple battle themes, various boss themes, and a lot of different character themes. The music actually has meaning to it too. I feel like Joe didn't really listen to the soundtrack for him to call it lazy. That's just ignorant as fuck.
I have not said anything for the past few years about the complaining over Joe's lack of effort in getting more reviews done, when compared to the increase of movie reviews, trailer reactions and let's plays. But considering that Final Fantasy XV is one of the year's biggest releases and Joe once again doesn't do a review (just like with Uncharted 4, Rapid fires don't count as reviews....not when it is big AAA releases), I thought I would take a look back and see how many reviews Joe releases a year. Now I looked back from 2011 to now and it is.... 2011 = over 20 reviews 2012 = over 20 reviews 2013 = 19 reviews 2014 = 14 reviews 2015 = 14 reviews 2016 = 14 reviews It looks as though Joe has definitely stagnated and is no longer making reviews as much as he used to. He makes excuses for the lack of reviews (talking like it is a recent thing), but he still has the time to do reactions and movie reviews. The very thing that he became famous for and what people like him for, he no longer does on a regular basis, with over a month between reviews being released becoming more and more common. Maybe he doesn't have will to do as much work as he used to, or has just fallen into the trap that many you-tubers fall into, which is making less content for more views (which equals money in the bank). Plus when you compare the amount of views he gets from his reviews (which is in the millions), from the other videos (just hundreds of thousands, usually below 500,000), you have to wonder why he doesn't take this as seriously as in the beginning (despite what he says, since actions speak louder than words). In the end, I would like to see Joe get back to what he does best, which is making informative and entertaining reviews that don't hold back when criticisms have to be made. I would hate to see Joe become like Spoony (who has not produced any real content for years). Let's hope for a better 2017. P.S Anyone who says that Joe doesn't owe his fans/subscribers anything, please remember that if it wasn't for those who sat and watch his videos every day, then he would not be in the position his is in now (because views = $$$$).
Yep. Was with Joe since early 2012, then I unsubbed in 2015 for exactly your reasons. I do come back once in a while and check what's up, but it seems he's ran out of steam as far as I'm concerned. I have a playlist of "Angry Joe Funniest Videos", and none of them is from the recent times. Too bad.
He might not have figured out fast travel but when I play I can only fast travel to about 4 of the 15 waypoints I've unlocked and still have to either auto or manual drive there. EDIT: I also forgot to mention the part where he's really tearing into the driving, he said he hadn't been there yet so he didn't even unlock the fast travel to that location.

Car didn't bother me that much, i usually fast travelled to somewhere nearby where i needed to go, and then the drive was pretty short, after that i used chocobos all the time, so it felt ok to me.
The blockade is to stop people getting into the keep, and onto the bridge... You do neither of these things, you walk through the maintenance / deteriorating areas, and climb to an overlook... nothing else.

I don't care if the review is late by a month or even two or more. I watch the reviews to know which games are good and which ones to buy, just having one up eventually will help me and others to know down the road which ones are good to buy once we decide to buy.

It would be misleading had he said to not by the game because the driving section ruins the game entirely. I watch to see what the game has in terms of gameplay and mechanics, then I choose if it's a worthy buy for me even if he didnt like it, because a mechanic he might like, others might.

"Too busy" "Too sick" "more reviews next year", and for every year that passes, rinse and repeat those words. +YouCan't Argument is don't be critical of content creators, ever. And actually his viewership does hold stock. Withholding their views of his content and relegating their time to other youtubers does deny him money he would otherwise earn through ad revenue and the changes YT has implemented. Content creators are getting paid by the length of time spent watching their videos now, game theory broke it down. So if Joe still wants to make money on this platform his content will have to be engaging enough to keep people watching through to the end. I'm not saying he can't do what he wants, simply that the money he makes will be based on his decisions, good or bad as they may be.

As someone that enjoys pretty much all of the content you put out, the lack of reviews doesn't bother me. Take your time and make them awesome. As a content creator myself, I understand that. Unpopular opinion I guess.
As a content creator shouldn't you also understand a schedule and time management? If he actually did those he would be posting far more then he actual does, and lets his fanbase at least know what is coming up or out. Based on something as simple at a schedule. I bet that would make people a lot more happier about his declining quality and general excuses.

Ok I am not sure you understood my comment. I was pointing out the lack of one and the understanding of the benefits of having a schedule and time management. I never pretended to understand what his is, or if he even has one. But a published one where his fans know to look for a certain time of the week for certain things makes so much sense. On the side of knowing his job, yes this is his job. With any job you set deadlines and work around them, sick or not. And I never said he has to make what I want him to make. There are better channels dedicated to all kinds of things out there. So people can pick and choose what they want. As someone who works and produces my own things at said work I understand the stress of things, also how hard it is to work when sick. Well "quality" itself is sort of a subjective thing. Some people will like stuff more than others. I can't ever call what he does or makes "lazy" because filming, editing, costumes, effects, all that stuff takes a tremendous amount of time and effort. I´m really into this game, its great in my opinion and I reconize this problems, but I seriously raised my concerns about joe´s taste in general after raising suicide squad´s movie that much, also if the car part alone ruin the game for him he´s not focusing in the actual gameplay of exploring the werabouts while hunting and sidequesting, or even treasure hunting, if you go to point to point whitout stopping and exploring there´s no way you´re having fun
The hunts and sidequests were the some of the most boring shit I have ever done. This open world was trash compared to any open world at the time or in future. I mean shit, FFXV was released only 1 year before Breath of the Wild and Horizon Zero Dawn, and several years after Fallout 4. FFXV's open world and quests are horrible by comparison to any of these games. The immersion and believability of the world is at an all-time low. And did I mention that the game is boring? It's fucking boring. Exploring and combat is fucking boring. And let's not talk about the "hold attack button and heal" gameplay being actually good. I have never made so few combat decisions in my life in a Final Fantasy game, and I have never played a Final Fantasy game where magic and character progression was so undermined and unfulfilling as it is in FFXV. And the plot is disjointed and awful. If this game didn't have Final Fantasy in its brand, I'm positive reviewers give it a 6/10 en masse instead of the 8.5/10's it got instead. Brand loyalty and mass marketing by massive corporations does funny things to people's biases. Square and Final Fantasy are just dead to me. It's been almost 20 years since we saw anything even remotely close to a masterpiece come out of this company. The last great games were on the PS2, and I know people don't want to hear it, but FF6 is miles better than any of the main-line games for decades. Sakaguchi wasn't the best business executive, but it's pretty clear the franchise was better when he was there. Other series, like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Octopath Traveler or even Atelier Ryza have taken Final Fantasy's place in the modern era.

Vayne glory well in previous ffs, we had thrilling edge of your seat story with massive globetrotting adventures. This game is a camping simulator set within 2 countries or so. Sorry but this game is an epic fail.
Fox: The driving bit annoyed me at first also, but then again i feel the reason for that was to showcase the world. After getting used to it i just kinda sat back and relaxed when driving and admired the world. It did for me what they were trying to do, make it feel like a road trip with your brothers and also Manual became more fun after you get the F type

And seriously, there's not even any "final thoughts" spoken about the game. Your video quits very early on in the game and there is quite a lot not covered or discussed in this video. Not saying I don't sympathize with your illnesses, I know life happens and there are setbacks, but come on. FFXV has been one of the most anticipated games in the past decade. It deserves a full review, and you are always the number one person I trust and enjoy reviews from. I personally don't mind the driving mechanic as someone who tends to put down a game a lot and check my phone or do something, so it's cool to see them chat away and go somewhere while I do something else
His videos used to be much better. Even the newer Reviews seem half-assed on the actual "REVIEW" part, with more focus on skits and several minutes-long clips of his streams.
The car system is fine. It's a cruising system meant for the character to be able to focus more on the area around them. I love it it's smooth and clean
I work at a home for the elderly. 5 days a week I work roughly 8 hours and let me tell you it isn't always peachy work. I'd gladly trade places with Joe if I could, he gets paid to do what he loves (or used to love anyway). Also no employer accepts the fact that you have to eat, sleep and take dumps as an excuse not to do your fucking job so that excuse is not a valid one.
Ross Terziev Actually yes everybody does. Criticism is how we learn from our mistakes and improve. What he doesn't need is a bunch of brown-nosed yes men who won't acknowledge that there is a problem.
Some things I think you just missed that you are angry about. 1. the music, while out walking or in the car you can play music tracks by holding r2 these range from ff1-ff15 songs etc. 2. when you run out of gas you can tow your vehicle to hammerhead and also you can call your car to you. 3. The car honestly is more of a teleport gimmic since you can park it somewhere then take a chocobo half way across the map and then teleport back to car.
Joe, there is nothing wrong with the driving mechanics of the game, and the long driving stretches can be broken up by having a bunch of side quests. Also, gas stations are easy to find, in my 28 plus hours in the game I have only ever run low on gas. Furthermore, you could have called for a tow truck. This game is a road trip game, the car belonged to the main characters father and he fondly remembers driving in the car with his father and now his friends. I had some problems early on with the game but after I slowed down and took some time, turns out may if not all my problems were that other games with nothing but speed as requisite feature ruined my patience.
Calm down guys, we all know that Joe is a "noob" in terms of Final Fantasy. He didn't play the past FF games like FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX, and many others. So the nostalgia thing isn't evident for him. Also, I think the car on auto is a cool feature because you can suck in the view of Eos. Plus, he never knew nor even try, that the car that he's complaining can turn into a flying ship. I feel sorry for Joe, but I think FFXV is NOT the game for him. He's too casual. FFXV is for old and new players, more of a CLASSICAL FF HARDCORE gamers. Newcomers can finish the game, but if you're a FF fan, you're right at home.
@multistrangedude1, I'm not saying that a game should be or should rely on nostalgia, but nostalgia helps a lot in the overall experience. Playing old FF music on the Regalia (FFXV's car) is absolutely amazing, that small touch makes the game even more better. It's in the little things normally.
@trevor Nelson, I don't know what you're reading, but FFXV is getting a ton of GREAT reviews. It's even one of the BEST FF since FFX.. FFXIII was garbage. FFXV put Final Fantasy back on the map again. I don't know where you get your figures. FFXV is better in a way that FF is back again. Also, losing gas on the regalia? It's only 10gil or even 5gil if you have the travel pack.. Also, Joe doesn't know that the car is upgradeable with gas and shit. And oops it will turn into an airship too. The realsim in FFXV is great. Only Joe who's very CASUAL in gaming especially on the FF games, doesn't know how to play the game. He's eaten too much "SPOON FEEDING" game. This makes now sense, we are not taking money out of our own pockets to his hands. Obviously views and advertisements makes him money we ourselves have no part in his income. You buy something at the store ... yes you are part for there income. No way you can say you are paying money to watch joe.
It only gets worse Joe. The open world is tiny and the majority of the story comes in the linear section. Also, the story gets fucking terrible in the later half with the worst ending I've ever seen in an RPG full stop.

Final Fantasy XV has been a double-edged sword. I mostly love it, and love the total freedom to do whatever, but sometimes I feel like it has a hard time keeping the player to stick to the story and not just wander off until they lose interest and shelf the game for a bit. Not that I've lost interest, but I got so sidetracked, that I've had it shelfed for a week or so while playing other stuff. The way it plays kind of reminds me of a giant Playstation Home game-space (for any that used and recall PS Home). xD
You described it perfectly everytime i go do the story i’m either too weak so i go and farm or get distracted anyway and then eventually lose interest after wandering around for a good while :/

Final fantasy 7 was my first final fantasy game and I decided to go back to previous titles and try them and I absolutely loved them. I played final fantasy 15 and absolutely loved it and I still play it to this day. Seeing a reviewer then I watched for years that has obviously never touched a FF game in his hollow life made me sick
"I guarantee you'll enjoy it, you'll laugh, you'll have a great time." No. I didn't. Thirty minutes of my life, wasted, on hollow commentary of someone who doesn't understand Final Fantasy.

I just finished FF 15 tonight. I've never played an FF game before now. The game is an absolute blast. Gorgeous game by far. I felt as if the world of FF was real. Amazing game. I wanted to start a new game + instantly after finishing it. I loved the car rides, even sitting in the back while Ignis took the wheel (The road trips are not boring if you play your own music on speakers) I fell in love with all the characters, and even got emotional at the end. I imagine it only has that effect if you actually PLAY THROUGH THE WHOLE GAME YOURSELF... but don't be quick to judge based off someone elses opinion.
Did i mishear?. Did you call final fantasy music, Many of the most iconic audio scores in gaming history lazy?. Plus, the photos impact outcomes of certain scenarios. Also. Put the stamina bar on screen and take advantage of infinite stamina.

Cause Joe doesn't know how to play the game correctly I guess. He's like the rest of those haters that unable to play the game like it should be and rant about the game which he does not even know how to play just like playing dark souls and hide behind that shield with a spear all the time. Chocobo has level and at some point ,we can feed them to make it run faster than original car(you can upgrade car later like engine,fuel tank even a wing to fly) and there's fast travel function yet he didn't even read the god damn tutorial and tips to notice that.
Final Fantasy 15 is totally worth it. Listen to the people in the comments and just go get it. It's an amazing game and experience, in contrast to what Joe said. (I've finished the main story and beaten most of the side quests btw) Also, the music is beautiful. I'm currently learning some of them on piano like Somnus because they are so good. Just listen to us and buy the game, it's more than worth it.

In the AJS June 2016 update vlog! + E3 coverage video, he says that after E3, he is going to put out an angry review almost every other Friday (so 2 angry reviews per month). He also asks his community in that video what they want to see from E3, so he can do interviews and impressions. In the end he uploaded 3 videos from E3: one interview, one impression and a top 10 games of E3 video which was recorded in his hotel room just before he had to leave.
In the AJS Update: reviews + eye surgery video (3 months ago), he says that he won’t be able to make all the reviews he wanted to.
Now he says he’s not going to be able to make to make reviews for any of the games that just launched and he’s going to make more next year.
I really don’t like ‘’hating’’ on Joe, but I think this happened one too many times. I’m not demanding angry reviews like many others do, but just a schedule or more openness from Joe. I just want the angry review-schedule to be more consistent. I don’t care if that means we get a review every month, every two months, every year or never again, but I at least want to know what games I can expect a review for so I don’t have to wait a month before realizing that I need to go somewhere else for a review.
If Joe doesn’t want to make Angry reviews at all anymore, he’s also free to do that, but he needs to at least say it so all the people (including me) who DO want them can unsubscribe and let the fan base restore itself, because right now it’s war over here.

Joe you really ought to listen to your fans more. I know this is a show and not a gaming review channel but let's face it; the majority are here for your excellent game reviews. Not your poor generic reaction vids. Nor your thoroughly average movie reviews. I really think they ought to take priority over everything else. I mean it's because of the success of those Angry Reviews that you are in the comfortable financial situation that you're in now. By ignoring our criticism you are essentially giving the finger to all the loyal people who have supported you over the years and made you the youtube star that you are now. This is not about us being 'entitled" or you "owing" us anything. It's about you at least respecting us and trying to please us a bit more. I mean most big game releases you miss without giving us a scrap of information or having the decency to give us a proper explanation. I mean sure we're all very busy sometimes but you don't even try to make up for it later or by catching up on any games you previously missed. And instead what do you do? You use that well earned loyal fanbase raise some extra cash by doing promotional vids (which is basically just a long sponsored video advert) and cheap let's plays/reaction vids. The irony is I would have no problem watching them if you at least tried to do a bit for us. Dude, you're the one who taught us to stand up to companies trying to take advantage of us when you're at times doing pretty much the same thing. True, we don't pay for these videos but you do make money off of our views. This is your job Joe. Had you geen working for a company you would have probably been fired long ago. I understand the angry reviews take hours and hours to make but c'mon joe, you barely pump out one Review a month now. Joe pointed out some valid criticisms of FFXV. I agree that the driving mechanics were weird and one of the weakest parts of the game. But complaining about the music being lazy and shitting on it is a bit too much. He was shitting on the chocobo theme in the chocobo ranch, just because he isn't familiar with the it. The main menu theme and the battle music, especially fighting some boss, in the story or a side boss, were pretty epic. Even the ones that Joe complained weren't even bad, and that's what's annoying me the most. Granted, he is entitled to his own opinion, but people are also entitled to have an opinion especially if Joe's opinion feels way out of character.

I actually think the music in this game is beautifully composed... Gratia Mundi, Omnis Lacrima, Apocalypsis Noctis, and Somnus? All masterpieces in my eyes.
Misterbiggs there's a few standouts that are decent but not iconic like entire soundtracks have been during the sakaguchi/uematsu era. I don't think anything in this game surpasses stuff from other games in this era like skyrim or even other shimamura works like super mario rpg. Most of it is atmospheric elevator music. It's downright bad for the most part. Sorry but this is pretty objective. You can enjoy it if you want to, opinions are opinions after all.

You're telling me all of these are elevator music? These are all from the base game, let alone the dlcs which also has some fantastic music. I get there is some rather generic sounding music for final fantasy like when you go to town resting spots but it's like the equivalent of being in a tavern in a medieval game...I think those songs still fit the road trip Americana vibe.

absolutely not, maybe 20 years ago.. but now their nokia ringtone music doesnt really cut it, some of the songs that play when you fight is ok, but for the most part the game went for nostalgia just putting old music in from previous games.. the same damn songs for certain towns and areas gets really annoying really fast tbh. in a game where you're forced to spend so much time in a car that you can barley drive, you would think after a decade of development they could take time to add a large new playlist of something besides elevator music

Granted it does have some southern twang to it, and maybe it was his editing that gave that impression, but I think Joe sometimes upsells his fandom to certain franchises.

Tyke The soundtrack is amazing too. There are multiple battle themes, various boss themes, and a lot of different character themes. The music actually has meaning to it too. I feel like Joe didn't really listen to the soundtrack for him to call it lazy. That's just ignorant as fuck.

I have not said anything for the past few years about the complaining over Joe's lack of effort in getting more reviews done, when compared to the increase of movie reviews, trailer reactions and let's plays.
But considering that Final Fantasy XV is one of the year's biggest releases and Joe once again doesn't do a review (just like with Uncharted 4, Rapid fires don't count as reviews....not when it is big AAA releases), I thought I would take a look back and see how many reviews Joe releases a year.
Now I looked back from 2011 to now and it is....
2011 = over 20 reviews
2012 = over 20 reviews
2013 = 19 reviews
2014 = 14 reviews
2015 = 14 reviews
2016 = 14 reviews
It looks as though Joe has definitely stagnated and is no longer making reviews as much as he used to. He makes excuses for the lack of reviews (talking like it is a recent thing), but he still has the time to do reactions and movie reviews. The very thing that he became famous for and what people like him for, he no longer does on a regular basis, with over a month between reviews being released becoming more and more common.
Maybe he doesn't have will to do as much work as he used to, or has just fallen into the trap that many you-tubers fall into, which is making less content for more views (which equals money in the bank).
Plus when you compare the amount of views he gets from his reviews (which is in the millions), from the other videos (just hundreds of thousands, usually below 500,000), you have to wonder why he doesn't take this as seriously as in the beginning (despite what he says, since actions speak louder than words).
In the end, I would like to see Joe get back to what he does best, which is making informative and entertaining reviews that don't hold back when criticisms have to be made.
I would hate to see Joe become like Spoony (who has not produced any real content for years).
Let's hope for a better 2017.
P.S Anyone who says that Joe doesn't owe his fans/subscribers anything, please remember that if it wasn't for those who sat and watch his videos every day, then he would not be in the position his is in now (because views = $$$$).
Yep. Was with Joe since early 2012, then I unsubbed in 2015 for exactly your reasons. I do come back once in a while and check what's up, but it seems he's ran out of steam as far as I'm concerned. I have a playlist of "Angry Joe Funniest Videos", and none of them is from the recent times. Too bad.

He might not have figured out fast travel but when I play I can only fast travel to about 4 of the 15 waypoints I've unlocked and still have to either auto or manual drive there.
EDIT: I also forgot to mention the part where he's really tearing into the driving, he said he hadn't been there yet so he didn't even unlock the fast travel to that location.

Car didn't bother me that much, i usually fast travelled to somewhere nearby where i needed to go, and then the drive was pretty short, after that i used chocobos all the time, so it felt ok to me.

The car ride is one of my favorite parts. Get to listen to some good tunes, see cool scenery, and mess around on your phone like they do.

I don't care if the review is late by a month or even two or more. I watch the reviews to know which games are good and which ones to buy, just having one up eventually will help me and others to know down the road which ones are good to buy once we decide to buy.

I don't think he is misleading anyone by saying he doesn't like the driving, some people do some don't. It would be misleading had he said to not by the game because the driving section ruins the game entirely. I watch to see what the game has in terms of gameplay and mechanics, then I choose if it's a worthy buy for me even if he didnt like it, because a mechanic he might like, others might.

Withholding their views of his content and relegating their time to other youtubers does deny him money he would otherwise earn through ad revenue and the changes YT has implemented. Content creators are getting paid by the length of time spent watching their videos now, game theory broke it down. So if Joe still wants to make money on this platform his content will have to be engaging enough to keep people watching through to the end. I'm not saying he can't do what he wants, simply that the money he makes will be based on his decisions, good or bad as they may be.

As someone that enjoys pretty much all of the content you put out, the lack of reviews doesn't bother me. Take your time and make them awesome. As a content creator myself, I understand that. Unpopular opinion I guess.
As a content creator shouldn't you also understand a schedule and time management? If he actually did those he would be posting far more then he actual does, and lets his fanbase at least know what is coming up or out. Based on something as simple at a schedule. I bet that would make people a lot more happier about his declining quality and general excuses.

I´m really into this game, its great in my opinion and I reconize this problems, but I seriously raised my concerns about joe´s taste in general after raising suicide squad´s movie that much, also if the car part alone ruin the game for him he´s not focusing in the actual gameplay of exploring the werabouts while hunting and sidequesting, or even treasure hunting, if you go to point to point whitout stopping and exploring there´s no way you´re having fun

The hunts and sidequests were the some of the most boring shit I have ever done. This open world was trash compared to any open world at the time or in future. I mean shit, FFXV was released only 1 year before Breath of the Wild and Horizon Zero Dawn, and several years after Fallout 4. FFXV's open world and quests are horrible by comparison to any of these games. The immersion and believability of the world is at an all-time low. And did I mention that the game is boring? It's fucking boring. Exploring and combat is fucking boring.
And let's not talk about the "hold attack button and heal" gameplay being actually good. I have never made so few combat decisions in my life in a Final Fantasy game, and I have never played a Final Fantasy game where magic and character progression was so undermined and unfulfilling as it is in FFXV. And the plot is disjointed and awful.
If this game didn't have Final Fantasy in its brand, I'm positive reviewers give it a 6/10 en masse instead of the 8.5/10's it got instead. Brand loyalty and mass marketing by massive corporations does funny things to people's biases.
Square and Final Fantasy are just dead to me. It's been almost 20 years since we saw anything even remotely close to a masterpiece come out of this company. The last great games were on the PS2, and I know people don't want to hear it, but FF6 is miles better than any of the main-line games for decades. Sakaguchi wasn't the best business executive, but it's pretty clear the franchise was better when he was there.
Other series, like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Octopath Traveler or even Atelier Ryza have taken Final Fantasy's place in the modern era.

Vayne glory well in previous ffs, we had thrilling edge of your seat story with massive globetrotting adventures. This game is a camping simulator set within 2 countries or so. Sorry but this game is an epic fail.
Fox: The driving bit annoyed me at first also, but then again i feel the reason for that was to showcase the world. After getting used to it i just kinda sat back and relaxed when driving and admired the world. It did for me what they were trying to do, make it feel like a road trip with your brothers and also Manual became more fun after you get the F type

Would have appreciated at least a Rapidfire review, or maybe one of your friends covering the review if you were not able to do so. And seriously, there's not even any "final thoughts" spoken about the game. Your video quits very early on in the game and there is quite a lot not covered or discussed in this video.
Not saying I don't sympathize with your illnesses, I know life happens and there are setbacks, but come on. FFXV has been one of the most anticipated games in the past decade. It deserves a full review, and you are always the number one person I trust and enjoy reviews from. The car system is fine. It's a cruising system meant for the character to be able to focus more on the area around them. I love it it's smooth and clean

Some things I think you just missed that you are angry about.
1. the music, while out walking or in the car you can play music tracks by holding r2 these range from ff1-ff15 songs etc.
2. when you run out of gas you can tow your vehicle to hammerhead and also you can call your car to you.
3. The car honestly is more of a teleport gimmic since you can park it somewhere then take a chocobo half way across the map and then teleport back to car.
I think you just come clean with it Joe. Just say you got lazy, and don't want to do reviews anymore.

funny thing is, he trashed by calling it generic, one of the most recognisable themes in gaming history.
Joe, there is nothing wrong with the driving mechanics of the game, and the long driving stretches can be broken up by having a bunch of side quests. Also, gas stations are easy to find, in my 28 plus hours in the game I have only ever run low on gas. Furthermore, you could have called for a tow truck. This game is a road trip game, the car belonged to the main characters father and he fondly remembers driving in the car with his father and now his friends. I had some problems early on with the game but after I slowed down and took some time, turns out may if not all my problems were that other games with nothing but speed as requisite feature ruined my patience.
Calm down guys, we all know that Joe is a "noob" in terms of Final Fantasy. He didn't play the past FF games like FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX, and many others. So the nostalgia thing isn't evident for him. Also, I think the car on auto is a cool feature because you can suck in the view of Eos. Plus, he never knew nor even try, that the car that he's complaining can turn into a flying ship. I feel sorry for Joe, but I think FFXV is NOT the game for him. He's too casual. FFXV is for old and new players, more of a CLASSICAL FF HARDCORE gamers. Newcomers can finish the game, but if you're a FF fan, you're right at home.

FFXV is by far better than FFVII. Either you haven't played XV or you forgot to take off your nostalgia glasses when evaluating FFVII.
@multistrangedude1, I'm not saying that a game should be or should rely on nostalgia, but nostalgia helps a lot in the overall experience. Playing old FF music on the Regalia (FFXV's car) is absolutely amazing, that small touch makes the game even more better. It's in the little things normally.
@trevor Nelson, I don't know what you're reading, but FFXV is getting a ton of GREAT reviews. It's even one of the BEST FF since FFX.. FFXIII was garbage. FFXV put Final Fantasy back on the map again. I don't know where you get your figures. FFXV is better in a way that FF is back again.
Also, losing gas on the regalia? It's only 10gil or even 5gil if you have the travel pack.. Also, Joe doesn't know that the car is upgradeable with gas and shit. And oops it will turn into an airship too. The realsim in FFXV is great. Only Joe who's very CASUAL in gaming especially on the FF games, doesn't know how to play the game. He's eaten too much "SPOON FEEDING" game. He should stick to third person shooters like The Last of US. (TLOU is a masterpiece don't get me wrong, but you get the piont.)

I also found it very important to do the side quests first before the main because you are ready for the bigger level bosses

It only gets worse Joe. The open world is tiny and the majority of the story comes in the linear section. Also, the story gets fucking terrible in the later half with the worst ending I've ever seen in an RPG full stop.

I mean, you're free to do what you want, but let me just point out the fact that both Final Fantasy XV, and The Last Guardian are two of the most hyped games of the past decade with MASSIVE followings. The fact that you're not making reviews for either one blows my mind considering your add revenue with those two games alone would potentially be through the roof. I know you're sick and probably not in the best mind set right now, but keep in mind that most of your subscribers (myself included) watch your reviews because they're the best. If you're going to be late with either review, then no problem, everyone will understand. But to just decide not to do either one at all just makes no sense whatsoever. Just my 2 cents bud. Final Fantasy XV has been a double-edged sword. I mostly love it, and love the total freedom to do whatever, but sometimes I feel like it has a hard time keeping the player to stick to the story and not just wander off until they lose interest and shelf the game for a bit. Not that I've lost interest, but I got so sidetracked, that I've had it shelfed for a week or so while playing other stuff. The way it plays kind of reminds me of a giant Playstation Home game-space (for any that used and recall PS Home). xD
You described it perfectly everytime i go do the story i’m either too weak so i go and farm or get distracted anyway and then eventually lose interest after wandering around for a good while :/

Final fantasy 7 was my first final fantasy game and I decided to go back to previous titles and try them and I absolutely loved them. I played final fantasy 15 and absolutely loved it and I still play it to this day. Seeing a reviewer then I watched for years that has obviously never touched a FF game in his hollow life made me sick

I just finished FF 15 tonight. I've never played an FF game before now. The game is an absolute blast. Gorgeous game by far. I felt as if the world of FF was real. Amazing game. I wanted to start a new game + instantly after finishing it. I loved the car rides, even sitting in the back while Ignis took the wheel (The road trips are not boring if you play your own music on speakers) I fell in love with all the characters, and even got emotional at the end. I imagine it only has that effect if you actually PLAY THROUGH THE WHOLE GAME YOURSELF... but don't be quick to judge based off someone elses opinion.

Cause Joe doesn't know how to play the game correctly I guess. He's like the rest of those haters that unable to play the game like it should be and rant about the game which he does not even know how to play just like playing dark souls and hide behind that shield with a spear all the time. Chocobo has level and at some point ,we can feed them to make it run faster than original car(you can upgrade car later like engine,fuel tank even a wing to fly) and there's fast travel function yet he didn't even read the god damn tutorial and tips to notice that.
Not exactly surprising that a guy who's made his name yelling at games has cultivated a massively whiny, entitled fanbase.

Final Fantasy 15 is totally worth it. Listen to the people in the comments and just go get it. It's an amazing game and experience, in contrast to what Joe said. (I've finished the main story and beaten most of the side quests btw)
Also, the music is beautiful. I'm currently learning some of them on piano like Somnus because they are so good. Just listen to us and buy the game, it's more than worth it.
nonsense.. game was developted for 10 years, side quest is mmo-level, empty open world, combat is chaotic and have weak rpg system, there are so many better games out there.. imagine if this game was developted in 5 years.. lol
