Kim, you are reemerging from Wolfgang’s babyhood! Pretty soon he’ll be sleeping through the night and you’re going to be back up to full power. But it’s just so apparent the past few months. My son was a high maintenance baby/toddler too. But now he’s a wonderful man, and I’m so proud of him. They are a lot of work, but so worth the effort. 😊

My Mom always made bbq sauce from scratch growing up, everybody did. Easy base, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, brown sugar, all to taste….then add things like onion, honey, if you like. I remember her simmering it while grilling meat bc we didn’t have the fancy grills we have now. I did the same for years bc all the ingredients you normally have on hand…but in recent years started buying the Baby Rays for convenience. No measurements bc, it depends on how you like your sauce. Hey Kim, loving your earrings. The Braswell's company that makes that salad dressing is in Statesboro ,Ga . They also make jams, jellies, preserves, dips, salsas, chutney, relish. Thank you for putting a little happiness in my day.
I wish I could afford all the fresh fruits and veggies and the healthier snacks. We got $500 for a month of groceries and I just can't afford it. You're blessed you can afford all the snacks

Oh my stars. You are a great snacking family! You buy candy bars for your movie room for goodness sake! My kids would think they have gone to Disneyland at your house. I buy minimal snacks and sweets and only let my kids (12,10,7) eat them at allotted times. All that to say your kids have got it made 😂

Pizza... by the way... OVER RATED! What's in a pizza? a bit of flower something like a tablespoon of oil... Then some sauce... a ladle at most then a few pieces of meat or bacon... pieces only because it's a pizza! So... I typically eat 2 slices but I could eat 4 easily if I wasn't eying desert! 🤣

I love your videos! You are so creative and funny. I live in Southern California and the cucumbers at my Costco are $6 and the avocados are $9. The avocados here used to be $6 9 months to a year ago. I want to cry when I see lower prices seemingly everywhere else. I miss having avocados weekly not here and there. Last week my daughter and I made a homemade creamy tomato soup. I have never liked tomato soup but she really wanted it. I actually used two different recipes as my inspiration. We used the canned San Marzano tomatoes from Costco in it. It was amazing! My husband has not been able to eat grilled cheese since he was in elementary school. He did love the paninis when we were in Italy, so we had it with roast beef and provolone “paninis”. It is on the menu plan again for this week. I don’t know if you have seen the weather coverage for so-cal but it has been raining so much. Soup and chili have really been hitting the spot.
Here I am trying to make a meal plan and I’m wondering why the hell it stresses me out so much. Here’s the thing, i like to cook, but not all of my kids are willing to eat just whatever, seems to be the boys, idk. I have tons of things I want to try but at the same time I don’t want food to go to waste. I’m not “you eat what I cook” kind of mom, I’ve literally had my son throw up after trying a bite (I swear I’m not a horrible cook) and the other one burns calories like I once did in my high metabolic years that I have to get him to eat more, otherwise my daughters will eat most things just fine. I am SOOOO sick of cooking the same thing over and over again! The other thing, looking for things to try, I get all ADHD or perfectionist, like I don’t want to settle for anyreceip unless there are adequate stars left by unknown reviewers, as if I should just trust them anyway, ha. But cruising the insta seems to be like sensory overload for me, like oh I gotta try this, and this, and this, and how many darn link in bios do I gotta click on to find one of the recip..oh just never mind ill just make spaghetti again!! Must be part me, must be part there’s way too many recipes out there and too many of the same recipe, literally though, why the heck is it called a smash burger, isnt it just a burger? Oh the struggle.

Meredith has the most beautiful big eyes! You could take a picture of the goodies (smores ingredients) and then put them into a bin so they don't show. Your phone would record what you have. (But then you'd have to remember the pic was there!)

I just love little seeing little glances of Meredith. I loved hearing her in one of your previous videos saying that she had books for the new book shelf. We’re now past the young family stage. Our youngest is 19. Last August our first grandson was still born at 38 weeks. I absolutely have such a heart for little ones. You’re doing great Kim, enjoy every stage. Keep a close eye on middle and high school the world just wants to devour them. You’re great parents with great family life! I know it’s exhausting at times, hang in there! Lots of love to you momma!

Love the soup recipes! Here in the Southwest it's soup season too. My favorite time of year. I've tried a few of your recipes and am never disappointed. I received a Trader Joes recipe book for Christmas and am having fun going through it. I love cooking and baking from scratch but some of these 'throw together' recipes are so easy and still healthy and affordable. The latest soup I made was TJ's frozen potstickers and frozen stir fry vegetables with a broth base and Asian seasonings. I always really enjoy watching you cook and bake. Thanks Kim!
I recently shredded the giant block of cheese and used my vacuum sealer to make 8 ounce packs didn’t occur to me that when I unsealed them that it would be a giant clump, my kids were laughing at me they’re adults

Good morning, oh my gosh, yes! I have to meal plan! We are a family of 13, so it can get a little cra cra!
You can add another shelf to your wonderful pantry
I used to have a huge pantry but I’ve downsized now
Add it up and on the right hand side add part of shelf deeper to hold the larger items so that they won’t fall on little heads
You can also add a lock to your pantry door when you have visitors to control them from going inside to help themselves
Not to mention the safety of something falling but also someone eating something that they are allergic to

If you lived closer I'd told my hubby to grab you one. I really wanted the heart waffle maker but they sold out. Bummed!!! Have a super weekend!! Thanks so much!! This is the BEST brownie recipe ever but it’s all about the way you make it… I am from the UK so sorry for the measurements and temps!
3 large eggs
125g dark sugar
125g caster sugar
(Whisk these together in a kitchen air until it is pale and fluffy)
200g salted butter
200g semi sweet/dark chocolate
Melt these together. Once cooled pour into the kitchen aid while stirring low speed
110g flour
50g cocoa powder
Fold into the rest of the mixture until just combined.
You can then add WHATEVER you like into it - chocolate chips, your fave chopped up chocolate bars. Literally whatever you like and just measure it with your heart!
Bake in an 8x8inch metal pan (this is also really important for texture!) for 22 minutes on fan 180 Celsius

17 net carbs per one slice of Dave's killer bread is not high carb. Dieticians advise people watching carbs to eat 3 meals a day, each of 30 carbs, and two 15 carb snacks. So as part of a breakfast it works well. Just pair it with healthy nut butter or a few strawberries or an egg. or orange or pear or...But dieticians also do advise you to choose a bread with at least 4 grams of fiber per piece, like the German Dimpflmeier. But Kim, you don't have to watch your carbs. You have to watch too much protein. It's where the strangeness of the internet has tilted things. 0.4 grams of protein per pound of body weight is what is needed. Kids don't need extra. There is protein in almost everything we eat. 3 oz of chicken thigh contains 20 grams of protein. If Wentworth weighs 60 lbs, that fulfills almost his entire requirement for protein in one dinner....(60 pounds X .4 = 24 grams protein needed daily). There is a bodily process that happens when you get too much protein, but I wont bore you with it here. The folks who need more protein are professional level weight lifters, old people, teenager who are active, and pregnant women...this info comes from "talking with Docs", here on youtube, physicians based outside of Toronto, Ontario. The protein hype drives me crazy....ok, done. appreciate if you read this, but life is busy....
