Just stay close to the Savior and read the scriptures, it's the only place that feels safe anymore. • @stevequincy388
      @stevequincy388 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@jteddie I believe he has been called to be our Prophet, but I also believe that the Lord lets all of us (including Prophets) exercise our free agency. I believe many of these "new" shifts in church policies/actions reflect Nelson's personal politics and/or beliefs. I feel like he leans left on the political spectrum, way more than Benson, Hinckley, or even Monson who were much more conservative. Not every word or thought that comes from the Prophet is divine revelation. The Savior is the only person I trust without question, even Prophets can make mistakes.

I believe that President Nelson was need for His Church during these days. He shorten Church, so that we can have time with our families. He lowered the missionaries ages. He was inspired that women to be witnesses for baptisms and in the temple. He is a progressive because The Church has a diverse world-wide membership. The Church is no longer an American Church, it’s a global Church. I can’t wait for an Apostle who has dark skin.

Heber C Kimball: “I want to say to you, my brethren, the time is coming when we will be mixed up in
these now peaceful valleys to that extent that it will be difficult to tell the face of a Saint from the face
of an enemy to the people of God. Then, brethren, look out for the great sieve, for there will be a great
sifting time, and many will fall; for I say unto you there is a test, a Test, a TEST coming, and who will be
able to stand? This church has before it many close places through which it must pass before the work
of God is crowned with victory. To meet the difficulties that are coming it will be necessary for you to
have knowledge of the truth of this work for yourselves. The difficulties will be of such character that
the man or woman who does not possess this personal knowledge or witness will fall. If you have not
got the testimony, live right and call upon the Lord and cease not ‘till you obtain it. If you do not, you
will not stand. ” (Orson F. Whitney, Life of Heber C. Kimball, Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1945, p. 446.)

Aaron Sherinian's hiring in such an important position in the church is further evidence that the gentiles have united with the Great and Abominable Church in defiance of Nephi's warning: "blessed are the Gentiles, they of whom the prophet has written; for behold, if it so be that they shall repent and fight not against Zion, and do not unite themselves to that great and abominable church, they shall be saved." (2 Nephi 6:12) His hiring, combined with the church leaders unbelievably incompetent and bumbled handling of the pL4nd3m1c, really brings Nephi's prophecies to life.

If that is true, what will you do about it? I will give the advice I've taken: be humble and meek. It isnt our business to steady the ark. Our business is with the Lord. He will fight our battles. Be we need to be humble and meek.
I suggest pondering and praying about this passage:
      Doctrine & Covenants 85: 6:
6 Yea, thus saith the still small voice, which whispereth through and pierceth all things, and often times it maketh my bones to quake while it maketh manifest, saying:
      7 And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God;
8 While that man, who was called of God and appointed, that putteth forth his hand to steady the ark of God, shall fall by the shaft of death, like as a tree that is smitten by the vivid shaft of lightning.
9 And all they who are not found written in the book of remembrance shall find none inheritance in that day, but they shall be cut asunder, and their portion shall be appointed them among unbelievers, where are wailing and gnashing of teeth.
10 These things I say not of myself; therefore, as the Lord speaketh, he will also fulfil.
The Lord keeps His promises. If Bos house needs to be set in order He will send someone to do it. Just be meek and humble like the people of Antinephi-Lehi. Only the meek inherit the Earth. The Lord is testing us with all He is allowing to be done that doesn't make sense to us.

I accidentally came across your video. I am a member of the Church from Ukraine. 🇺🇦
It was very interesting to hear viewpoint “from the other side of the ocean” about the war and the church's attitude towards it.
In reality, the situation of the church in our region is very complicated. Ukraine was a part of the same territorial structure with Russia for a long time. This caused a lot of tension among the church members. In Kyiv, any manifestations of national identity were forbidden (or not encouraged), for example, it was not allowed to hang the Ukrainian flag near the church building. The publication of the Ensign magazine was in the proportions of 80% in Russian and 20% in Ukrainian. Church members often raised this issue, but it remained unnoticed. In 2014, there was some influence on the situation, but not significant.
When the war began in 2022, we expected words of support from the church leaders, but instead, we received words stating that “we are all brothers and sisters”. I understand that the First Presidency cannot officially support Ukraine, as it would automatically affect the church in Russia. However, we feel that their influence, assistance, and attention to the problem are absolutely inadequate.

I think each of us has to work towards re-establishing the principle of Liberty as God's Law of Liberty, first by our actions as individuals, second by how we raise our families, then in our communities, etc. We must consistently say NO to that which violates that law, which is an eternal law established in the Garden of Eden "nevertheless thou mayest choose for thyself". We can only change the world by changing how we act on a micro level. And the more who understand the basic Law of Liberty the better. What are we doing in our local spheres of influence to build a Liberty foundation for ourselves and others? Here in Alaska, my sphere of influence includes my children-grandchildren-great grandchild, as well as building a political party based on that Law and working with state legislators to promote laws which enhance Liberty while working against those which violate that law. I'd love to see what others are doing where they live.

The church will never ever govern the world.
The church will govern the church and the kingdom will govern the world.
Go read quotes from early church leaders and they all reference the church AND kingdom of God, as in two separate entities.
The church is the spiritual part of God's kingdom and the constitution of the united States is the political part of the kingdom.
When the tribes are restored in the flesh as the scriptures talk about, the land of Israel and the world will be divided among them except Levi, because a lot of them will end up serving as presiding bishops of the various stakes as many of them have this right by lineage.
North America will be Joseph's portion which will be separate from Ephraim and Manasseh.
The flag will be like the earliest examples of the US flag where the canton of the flag has 13 six pointed stars arranged so as to form a larger six pointed star.
The government and church headquarters will be moved to Zion in Missouri and Jerusalem in Israel will be a headquarters for the twelve apostles and the seventies.
Ezekiel's temple will be built to the north of Jerusalem and every year those who are not members of the church will go to this temple and observe the feast of tabernacles and offer sacrifices; Jesus ended sacrifice by the shedding of blood he did not end non bloody sacrifices. (fine flour was an acceptable sacrifice in the old testament even though no blood was shed).
Those who join the church will make pilgrimage to Zion and so will the senators and representatives of the tribes.
Out of Zion will go forth the law (the constitution and civil law) and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem (the apostles will preach the word to non members who will gather on that side of the world).

Do you sustain the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the prophet, seer, and revelator and as the only person on the earth authorized to exercise all priesthood keys? Do you sustain the members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as prophets, seers, and revelators? May I offer a different perspective on globalism and equity. It's easy to talk about the ills of globalism and equity in favor of local country decision-making when you are blessed to be in a high-resource nation and already experiencing a platform and position of privilege. Globalization seeks to leverage services and resources so that those who don’t have enough power or resources aren't eclipsed by those that do. If you had no shelter or food and escaped a waring nation with the just clothes on your back, with your family and nothing else, localized resources may not exist so there is no capacity for local decision-making, and your immediate priority would be to survive. It ultimately wouldn’t matter which religions or governments or global agencies or local relief organizations provided refugee assistance, medical care, basic necessities, and hope. The enemy is not the one providing the assistance. And God's law of consecration is about providing equity.

You say that they 'worked themselves into positions of power'. I'd suggest let's instead give full trust and confidence in the Lord's chosen prophet that His church is being led how He desires it at this time. God's thoughts and ways are not our thoughts and ways. Judas was, after all, one of the original 12 apostles. Your conspiracy-esque beliefs about these individuals in positions in the Lord's church are dangerous in that they may sway people to start believing that the Prophet isn't such a prophet if these kinds of people are called. The Lord can and will call whoever He needs to accomplish His work, whether or not we understand what that work is.

A prophet? Do we even know what that is? Joseph Smith was treated as all prophets are. Think Abinadi, Lehi, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, Abinadi, Alma.... That is how you recognize a prophet. They are hated by their own people, not the world at large, no. Like the Savior, they are hated despised and rejected by their own. So if a man is loved and adored by his own he is not a prophet. If he is loved then he is not a warning voice but rather is speaking soft things. Why do we know the prophets in scripture? They received Gods word and gave to us. Since Joseph Smith, crickets.

But wouldn’t it be far more uncaring for us not to tell the truth-not to teach what God has revealed? It is precisely because we do care deeply about all of God’s children that we proclaim His truth. We may not always tell people what they want to hear. Prophets are rarely popular. But we will always teach the truth!” (The Love and Laws of God)
