Selling down a collection is pretty normal AFTER you collect. To REALLY get out of a collection is to sell EVERYTHING. If not you are bound to collect something again down the road. I know I am still selling and buying and it’s been 20 years now lol. Good luck selling !
LOL you know what, that's what I've been saying too more than 20 years ago. Started off with a comic book. Thanks! selling it off is really a pain to the wallet. Guess we shall see if I get back into it next time haha...but I got a feeling this time I will be able to control it. I got a bigger fish to fry for the future.
@@KennyEatsWorld nah you shouldn’t take it that way that is a pain in the wallet. You are going about collecting wrong if you think it’s an investment. Slowly thinking that you are getting back your space and moving it to another person who can enjoy it after you are done with it. Also you enjoyed it for the amount of time you had it, that itself will be a massive help in your collecting journey. Collecting is consumption not investment. Takes time to figure that out.
Thanks for sharing your story man. Inspires me to document my journey more. Moments like such where you are streamlining your collection are when the collection changes the most and i think it would be nice to look back in the future and see how your collection and perspective on collecting changes and grows over the years :)
Beautiful story bro. Thanks for sharing. That's an awesome collection. I wish I kept my X-Men figurines in a better condition. Now I just collect car diecast in my glass cabinet. I miss Thai Kuang as well. 🥲 My uncle was a long serving employee there.
damn bro hearing your stories reminds me of my childhood, my parents used to own a bookstore so every time I get to be the first one to read new Mutiara Naga before it puts into the shelf for renting out, ahh the good old days
Yes, i also stop collecting, after having the same realisation. Only buying those that I really like or want. Again thank you for the video, listening to another guy talking about the good old days sure brings back memories.
And friend groups bro. Many times “kena racun” no matter how strong immune system also will get poisoned. Conventions I will still go though but this time for content purposes. Take video and photos enough. 😬
Toys have no value and won’t really appreciate over time, due to advances in technology and mechanical engineering. I used to own multiple pieces of macross chogokin, which was really expensive. But then I realised they have a serious yellowing issue, and nobody wants them even on carousell. Luckily I sold off my macross collection right after I became interested in collecting, so I did not lose much money.
Yea, the production cost gets cheaper with technology. It's just plastics anyway and there's unlimited of it to go around. Hence, like one viewer mentioned, there's nothing really of value these days.
Yes 🙌🏻 that’s the whole point of this video actually. Next time sure can buy back or just wait a new reissue. The toy company will always need to make money anyway.

Now that’s a wise advise. Thanks bro 👍🏼

Welcome! Thanks for watching. Indeed it will be good to look back too. That’s one of the reasons I started TH-cam, to document the journey.
Hi. Came across ur channel from your old walkaround video of Amcorp. I am gonna need an follow-up video for that soon :)
Hey, thanks for watching. Follow-up video on Amcorp walkaround? What else you want to see?
What do you still have left? Interested to buy.
not much left mostly anime stuff la.

Thanks bro. Malacca boys like us sure can relate to Thai Kuang. Going to reduce it by a lot and streamline collection.

hehe...indeed the good old days. welcome bro.

Baja Hitam! That was the Kamen Rider Black I knew. Hahaha...welcome bro. Glad I could take you back to nostalgia road.
wah.. what a collection indeed. I need to go dig up some of the comics I bought in the 80's... lol
haha...come come let's see what we are up to back then.
Congrats on graduating on the Man-Child degree.
Thanks!
Where can I buy your toys? Give me a link
I don't sell on Amazon bro
@@KennyEatsWorld i am local lah. Let me know what toys you gonna sell. I am looking for mafex and mezco, bro. Tolonglah
i quit a year ago. and have sold all of my collection already. now i am buying toys gradually and slowly hoping not to blow it up like before.
All the best bro! I also in and out like 5 times? This time I’m going to quit for real. Just getting some I want to keep.
@@KennyEatsWorld i guess to quit is the best way to go. We just have to limit ourselves going to conventions, toy stores, movies and games.

i agree with your point there is ntg really rare nowadays. i personally collect trading cards, if you want anything u can just order it frm overseas

Reprinting or re releasing alot of the collectables kinda ruin the collector value too
Indeed. Hence, I chose not participate and just buy what I really want. The rest I can sell.
Party over no more fun.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha…it’s still on la, not selling everything also.
