Hi Billy, thank you for your comments.
The flooring shown is the latest version, that has a tongue and groove on all 4 edges, meaning that joints can be made between joists, as long as boards are staggered as per the manufacturers specifications

Can u lay them like that without supporting the ends? I thought they had to land on a joist

“TnG joins do not need to end on a joist” Oh really?…Do you know what happens ten years on if you don’t? Heavy people flex the boards in high traffic areas leading to joint failure…THEN the unsupported board ends flex up and down with every foot step…two years on from that and your foot is going through the floor. I know this because it is how my house upstairs floor was build by cheap builders. To fix it you have to get access to the floor, moving furniture and ruining carpet in the process…Take my advice and ensure particularly where people walk that the board ends have proper support.

According to latest advise ,only 22mm boards can be butted mid joist with the first and last boards having a noggin

I wouldn’t be doing this I don’t care how strong the boards are any sort of weight and over time you will be going straight through that floor 😂

Worse installing i had seen. Guys dont follow these tips. Dont let the board over hand off a joins. Needs to in the middle.
