I had one years ago, I sold it now getting another one today. If you love something let it free and it will return.I’ve this knife A+ for the price.

Finally someone broke down breaking in the knife. I did this on mine too and am still amazed every zt knife I have is still my favorite knife every time. Haha

This is likely to be my next purchase. I carry a ZT0707 every day (which has a very nice deep carry clip that does not draw any attention) and I love the double detent system that lets me hold onto the lockbar and still be able to flip the blade out.

The stock pocket clip actually works perfectly for me. I don't wear denim pants though.

I own the 0462 and it is a long way off from being a strong detent so your knife might a anomaly. I couldn't ask for a smoother deployment.

A1 video. I have the 0452cf and I always open it using the middle of my pointer finger. It just feels more natural to me. Works with gloves too.

I wish Protech would make a larger Malibu. I was thinking this one but I am not very dexterous and would probably have issues with the lock bar. It’s about $250 nowadays..

I wish KAI could see their way clear to not slather their name on every damn blade with ZT on the pocket clip, blade and elsewhere to compound the hideous practice of marring a otherwise beautiful blade , show some class KAI!

Detent is tough, but if you couldn’t get it open out of the box, you’re not a knife guy... I was amazed by the detent as well, then I fixed my index finger as adjusted on the 2nd try and every after. I’ll give you the 1st try to adjust. Other than that, your not a knife guy.
Worse, in groves is even easier! Because the flipper doesn’t wear on the finger and the flipper reaches out to fit the glove!
Your review is like you’ve never even touched it.

my advice--don't hand this knife to some one else (or any knife). if they are knife pros, they won't ask and if they are not they will make you nervous and regret your decision. been there. nice review!

What is a knife pro ? I’m 38 and was raised on the gun and knife show circuit in the south and south west since I was 4 or 5 years old . I’ve shown thousands of people what I have on me including countless knife makers . If you love knives and collecting / making them you share the love around .

I really dislike the 0452CF!! The videos failed to address the poor design of the knife!! Way too light for my liking and rather difficult to open!! Not worth the money!! I picked up an Olamic Wayfarer 247 a couple months ago, which is hands down better then the ZT!! The 247 springs open and begs to be used as opposed to ZT which demands to be closed and asks you to turn out the lights!!!
