heelflip back lip. tre front board. bloody heck, watching these girls go bigger and bigger every comp is just mind blowing how quick they're progressing
Pretty accurate, it would have been all Japan if Funa didn’t get destroyed by nervousness and suddenly attempt a big gap to grind instead of her usual tricks. She nailed it 5 times wasting all her chances, all she needed was like two 80s for bronze after a decent run score.
I find it interesting why so many Japanese skaters feel compelled to compete unlike american skaters. I cannot name a single Japanese pro male of female who isn't doing contests. Perhaps it's a way of legitimizing it to their family as worthwhile and a possible career?
Contests bring opportunities, many of your “core” American skaters participated in contests in their early days too. Anyways, Japan has a huge underground skate scene, check out the Tightbooth and Evisen crews, also Taihou Tokura and Shin Sanbongi to name a few
I heard they are not really allowed to skate in the street, there are rules against it, so if they only skate in skate parks probably makes it more organized and considered more a sport
It speaks to the level of passion in women’s skateboarding that you see Liz Akama doing fa 270 to switch board down the biggest rail, big heels on runs. Coco doing fs hurricane, Paige doing switch grinds, etc AND Not once did they decide to ever copy Chloe’s 5050 kickflip out to pad their scores. Chloe has been over scored for so long on that one but the other girls just kinda ignore it and do their own thing. They know it’s a grom trick and not something they feel the need to do to win. They win by excelling at their own creative tricks that showcase the growth of women’s skateboarding and their immense talent. It’s very classy.
So glad Funa gets to go to Paris. All three of them are so stylish.

The Japanese are going to dominate the Paris podium.
Wouldn’t count on 1st if Rayssa is skating well, the rest may be Japanese though.
Don't count rayssa and Chloe out, they are insane as well

Their focus is crazy, nerves like steel!

I'm in love with the coco😂😂😂
If you’re talking about the little Japanese girl. Bro just confessed to being in love with a minor 🤣😂
@@johnhenshaw318 I think he was saying that because they played that song while she was skating
🤣🤣
@johnhenshaw, what's wrong with falling in love with a minor as long as you don't act on it?
Sou brasileiro e também estou apaixonado pelo coco.😆😆

JAPAN🇯🇵🗾
Amazing
The level of female skateboarding today is INSANEEEE
Wow they are all stepping it up it's too bad no more than 3 skaters can represent each country.

They look so stressed and it appears the Olympics took the fun out of yet another amazing sport!
Female skateboarding catching up fast!
as if they were ever behind
@@aVRy_ as is they where ever behind? You must not know anything about skateboarding, at all. Like -100.
Only the Japanese, rayssa, and Chloe.
Way better than they used to be but still nowhere close to mens.
The Chinese girls were also great @@Ryan-ix6dt

I think in Japan they take skateboarding much more seriously, as a real profession. Just look at Ginwoo, the boy looks like a super-trained robot.

Chloe has the best kickflip ever and is probs my fav but 50/50 kicky out is a kid trick it’s time to retire that one
