The other girls where just on fire and Rayssa has just been on another level as of late, both Chloe and Momiji who have been solid all year are now having trouble , if Momiji does not do well next qualifying round she will be eliminated from the Olympics because they only take the top 3 skaters from each country. Pressure builds as the Olympics gets closer. Chloe is a couple years younger then most the other skaters with exception of Coco so her nerves are most likely getting to her. She just needs to relax and go out there and have fun.

Tbh even if Momiji didn’t choke on her runs I don’t think she’d have qualified, the other Japanese girls despite not having better style or outclassing Momiji in terms of technicality were just more consistent. They nailed their runs and then also had multiple 90+ tricks they could do. Liz Akama started doing her fs 270 to switch fs board down big rails. Funa did a huge heelflip back lip down a big rail. Coco with the big flip board! It was incredible. The thing is if yo go back on the WST events I only think I saw one event Momiji did that well in terms of getting a high 80s run score and landing two big single tricks. In the final all her team mates did this, so I don’t think Momiji could have kept up sadly unless she did something new.
