This has absolutely nothing to do with the video, but I just wanted to say that with you now living in the mountains, I sincerely hope you have not been affected by any of the fires or flooding! I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that we love our Muzios!!!
I appreciate the family review. My wife and I purchased a 1794. Has nearly all the features of a Capstone but with the standard TT v6. Plenty of power even in eco mode. Max MPG so far per tank, 21.5 MPG. Worst MPG was mostly city at 17.0 MPG.
This is because of its headlights, which, to be fair, really does matter. The Ford with the upgraded headlights is just as safe. Edit: Toyota put better headlights on all trims, while Ford still offer halogens on their lower trims.
16:43 Yes! The SR CrewMax is absolutely the value play here. It has rear A/C and basic creature comforts - and despite being detuned, it still has plenty of pep.
I want to like the Tundra, and I feel I would be happy with it, but I think its just Toyota people that are really jumping on the bandwagon hoping that the history of quality lives on.
I definitely thought Evie said "one of her favorite things to do is put a person in..." when she was talking about how big the center counsel is!!! Had to watch it over again to re-tune my ears to hear something else. lol
Maybe I'll get a response; I definitely need another perspective. I am torn between a 23 Tundra Limited(maybe Platinum) & a 23 Titan Pro 4X. Given your drives in both, what would you do?
Toyota ads in the 80s often ended with a giant Toyota logo on screen and somebody freeze frame jumping in the air with excitement over their vehicle choice. Perhaps we are meant to do that now while opening the glove box?
I have owned a super white TRD Pro model for about 2 weeks now. I am not going to say what I paid but this but it was NOT MSRP. I will reserve judgement if I overpaid. However, so far, this truck is comfortable, quiet, extremely powerful and quick, and looks fantastic (the red seats just make it stand out like no other). MPG for me not great. 16 in the city and approaching 19.8 MPG on the highway. That might improve given I still have under 1000 miles. I do far more highway than city so if I can get 20MPG on this heavy vehicle with this type of power I will be happy (I came from a 2020 Tacoma OR and was getting 21.5MPG on the highway and 18-19 in the city).
Yo...great video..1st time watching you guys...loved the detailed look at the new tundra...I love toyota vehicles..the last 5 vehicles for me and my family...I have a 2019 rav4 LXE premium and I love it and wanted the new tundra but very disappointed in no tow hooks and built-in bed steps so I'm probably going for chevrolet or for pickup truck...hopefully the next generation will have them...John form NY...later
Do you know if there's a way to turn off the fake exhaust noise that comes from the speakers? I know other cars have it and I hate the fake noise. The powertrain is what it is and the fake sound, in my mind, is a terrible idea. Also, wouldn't the audio performance suffer from having to pull double duty playing music while also trying to make a V8 exhaust sound?
I still remember his review of the Dodge Viper. It was so good, it ruined my high school and collage years. Because I wished I could get one. Best car reviewer for sure
I feel like Toyota can't get the truck proportions right. Last gen's hood looked too short. This gen's hood looks too long as are the front overhang. This makes the approach angle rather small compared to competition.
No tow hooks and No rear under seat storage due to Toyota using cheaper, antiquated batteries. Those were both deal breakers for me. I was waiting to buy this truck. Additionally, I think it looks terrible, like a frowning basking shark.
@@MicahMuzio Not really, but the video was awesome, Micah! You and Evie produce excellent videos which are both informative and entertaining 👍Thank you.
Dear lord, Toyota took one look at GM’s offerings and said “hold my beer! URP” We’ll put a FuManchu mustache on the front.. Gawd awful! Only good thing is the rear window
Its a failure has no toe hooks which is a must for offroad truck let alone a truck and its the ugliest truck out there too. You need to test the Tremor Ford.
How can Toyota screw this up? It’s no world beater. It’s a world class embarrassment 15 years they get NOTHING right The hybrid mpg is lackluster Shrunken interior No truck trucks or innovations There’s no area where it outguns the competitors. But there are more than plenty of areas where it significantly lags behind despite being redesigned after 15 years
I completely agree. This truck is an abject failure. It’s ugly, no tow hooks, poor mpg, No rear storage, No onboard generator, plastic uncomfortable armrest, no bed step, no tailgate features, no innovation and poor styling inside and out.
Toyota never called the Tundra a world beater, people need to stop saying that. It was a salesman. And they know they’re never going have sales on par with the Americans, they’re just trying to make a better truck that their current customer base will be happy with. That’s what matters to them, not trying to be best in class in every regard
Please explain, its kicking ass in the 1/4 being so heavy. Has a 150,000 mile warranty which I fear no other pick up has with almost 600lb of tq. Where did it miss.?
I believe the Tundra just earned the Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS.
It did. Somewhere said it’s now the safest truck sold in America.

its now the top safety pick +. safest full size truck in the nation!
This is because of its headlights, which, to be fair, really does matter. The Ford with the upgraded headlights is just as safe.

@@Libertarian_Neighbor it got that rating actually because the wheel did not go into the cabin during the crash test. I see your point though.

Not a great start with the turbos valve thing that ment literally taking a brand new truck apart.
You guys are awesome. Great family take.
@16:44 did Micah just give a "hey, good lookin' " nod to himself in the Tundra mirror when he opened the door? LOL.🤣
This is so funny
Nice TRD pro. I will have my TRD pro in 2 more weeks.
Initially I thought this truck to be ugly, I have to admit, it’s quickly growing on me.
I just wanted to say your baby girl is getting so big! Amazing how time fly's. Great review as always!
So true! Soon she’ll be driving us around.
Seeing the State Fair Of TX is coming up, this has earned a must-look from me.

Lesson learned. Don't cross Evie. 😂
😹😹😹
Love what you guys do! Thanks for your opinions!
Thanks for watching!
It’s always a pleasure to see your videos. 🎉
They rated the tundra over a plus crash test.. so it's the most safest vehicle now.
Great video!
What kind of GoPro do you use this? Look very clear!
Maybe I'll get a response; I definitely need another perspective.

Insane how expensive trucks are getting
Micah: "Can I give you a trim recommendation?" Sweetie: "Do I have a choice?"
That’s the kind of killer banter you can only find with a Muzio family review. 😂
yeah

I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to say blipshift sign in my head after watching this. 😂
Some people in the Midwest and east coast still have too pay tolls with coins.
This is why I love our comment section. In Southern California there are zero coin based toll roads. Thanks for the Midwest reminder!
Hi 👋 Micah I 👍 Like Toyota Tundra.
Could you please test A Nissan Frontier😁
18mpg hybrid? Wow. Disappointing.
I have had a few clients with 22-25 mpg, regular drive not flat I live in Puerto Rico
The hybrid isn’t for mpg tho. It’s for torque and towing.
I’ve read owner comments on here saying they get 24 mpg.
luv the Yoda Toyoda comment !!!
My dad joke game is strong. 😂
Love the new 22 tundra and the way it’s looks. I’m biased tho I own one.
Saw the fires in so cal mountains...stay safe ya'll!
CEO Akio Toyoda: Nice pun there Micah. Don't push it
2023 Raptor for the win.
This new gen looks great. I want a Sequoia

Would not trade my 2019 Straight over for a brand new one of these.
When I got in the Tundra…felt like I had less room than in my Tacoma. They could have shrunk that damn console.
People people..... half tons shouldn't tow past 9k.... when they say 12,000lbs it's a bare bones 2wd truck with no options

I love the look of the new Tundra
Kinda sad for an "off road" truck to not have tow hooks for the sake of 0.1 mpg
There should be a link for a 10% off the truck
No tow hooks and No rear under seat storage due to Toyota using cheaper, antiquated batteries.
Those were both deal breakers for me. I was waiting to buy this truck. Additionally, I think it looks terrible, like a frowning basking shark.
No it’s a FuManchu mustache!
Those antiquated batteries will last a lot longer and be much cheaper in the long run. Not a bad tradeoff for hybrid drives.
Seen them around and they just look so goofy and cartoonish. These truck are already too big and the Tundra took it to another level.
Iihs top pick +...just an update and to help Mr. Muzio himself
Yup. Somehow I managed to miss the IIHS rating. You are absolutely correct about its Top Safety Pick + status. Thanks for mentioning it!
LOL “the limited trim starting at $47k…”
Think you meant $70k…😂
You missed on remark about the competitors you forgot the GMC Sierra even though the Silverado is technically the same shape as the GMC Sierra
IIHS does have the crash test for this Tundra. Here is the video: th-cam.com/video/I4frai-5qa4/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=IIHS
I'm not sure how I missed that but I appreciate you including the video here. Cheers!
@@MicahMuzio it's just posted recently. Probably it wasn't available when you record this video. No sweat. Great review as always 👍
There is no non hybrid tundra
dont know we call this 3rd GEN..i see 4 distinctly different model of Tundra on the streets..h ha
70 thousand dollars, and no power steering wheel adjustment....mkay.
This new Tundra just doesn’t compete well (feature and mpg wise) with what Ram, Ford, Chevy/GMC is putting out.
👍
The truck for people that don’t want to be near their spouse. 😂🤣
Must the nice…
Dude put some side steps for your kid and wife. Don’t be that guy…
Windowless white van 😆

Not feeling the Tundra, huh? :)
