luigi is usable in specific stages, mostly hard stages because hard stages usually add a lot of stuff you can get hit by,mostly use him in stages where they have lava, pit, spikes, or anything from below the ground. luigi is also usable for stages that have a flag from above your starting point then high jump into certain platforms to get to the top.
Im so getting this game on midnight launch just as i did with a link between worlds for the 3ds! Japan allways comes out as the winner when it comes to gameplay and fun in games! :D
It was actually confirmed by M.Miyamoto that they are working on a galaxy-esque game (not necesseraly galaxy but one of that quality), it's just not ready to be announced yet.
A port is when developers "port" the game over to other platforms with little to no program changes, such as Dead Rising on the Wii, Super Mario 64 DS is a remake from the original game, they added tons of content and improved the visuals dramatically
Well there are other powerups based on Animals...guessing that means you also hated the Tanooki/Racoon & Frog Suit from SMB3, the Penguin Suit from NSMBW, and the Flying Squirrel form from NSMU right?
Oh my god, that beat is in so many things. I kid you not, I heard it in the news, multiple videos, the radio, and every time I hear it I think of Milky Milkshake.
New mechanics dude the clear pipe n stuff, it might not be that creative but they took the great bits of lots of game (characters n stats from super mario bros 2) the 3d from mario 3d land, multiplayer from new super mario bros and rolled them all into one awesome game.
and just like they said in the walkthrough, toad is the hardest character to play with, mostly used for advanced players, and definitely usable for speed runs.
Not the only one. I want a sunshine sequel. They could do it because as we know at the end of the first one, II Piantissimo found E. Gadd's paint brush.
Actually, Psycho was correct. It's a remake, not a port. A port would mean they simply transferred the game over to the DS without making any changes, which the game clearly had quite a few of. They made the game again with some new features added in, fitting the perfect description of a remake.
Super Mario 64 DS (originally called Super Mario 64 x 4[1]) is a game from the Super Mario series made for the handheld game system Nintendo DS. It is also the first 3D Mario game for a handheld console. The game is a remake of Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64, bearing some new features on its storyline, gameplay and graphics. -Super Mario Bros Wiki
Did you try the new super mario bros u, I saw on a review it was kinda hard is it true? oh and BTW I think that since Nintendo is more about family kids etc. they don't want to do anything hardcore anymore =( it's sad.
I liked Sticker Star. Perhaps it didn't have a very deep plot but the gameplay was fun and the puzzles were pretty enjoyable. What reasons do you have for not liking it? It's a legitimate opinion but I'm interested in your opinion. :)
Thank you, but some ports do make slight changes to fit the newer hardware, most of the N64 games ported to the Wii on the Wii Shop Channel had their visuals improved slightly, and Perfect dark for the N64 was ported to Xbox Live Arcade, which had the visuals updated slightly. But you know it's a port because some of the graphic errors that were on the N64 version are still in the Xbox version
watching this video I can see that Super Mario 3d World looks like it's finished, so why have they not yet released it? What are they doing right now with it? Are they putting final details on it? or are they just waiting for the holiday season to release it? Nintendo guys please reply.
I agree! I honestly miss the star gathering free-roaming environments. There's something about actually exploring a Mario environment that makes the game so magical. Gives it a lot of replay value too!
I still want a game that takes the open-ended level design style of 64 and Sunshine (especially the latter) and takes an open world approach. You know, where you can walk from one stage to another across an open Mushroom Kingdom. They could still use the Power Star system, but make it like 64 where you can acquire them in any order (at least, you can sometimes). I don't like the fact that they've made 3D Mario (a series with very linear level objectives) more linear.
Sticker Star wasn't that bad. People just hate on it for being different. It has a great battle system with the more rare stickers having to be salvaged and used at the right times. It's very strategic and interesting. I also love the classic PM64 vibe I get from the locales, and exploring the environments to find hidden stickers is fun. I like the puzzles. They're challenging and a lot of them require you to explore which is very relatable to past installments. It's a pretty good game IMHO.
This looks mad fun. I think it's a little funny how they made a big deal out of clear tubes as an innovative feature "never before seen in a mario game" XD.
You contradicted yourself saying it's similar to a card made six years ago. It's similar, but it's running games now that couldn't have been running six years ago.
This game was actually really fun when I played the demo at Best Buy, except when we went to do the boss, there was an elevator segement that goes down. Just as it was leaving i did a spin jump landing on the platform before. The elevator continued with the other three and they died ... :3
I love the awkward silence at the end, everyone just stops talking out of the blue haha.
One of the most awkward endings I've ever seen HAHA wow
Maybe you need a virus from 7:38
9:30 the awkwardness is real! lol
I love how there are massive gusts of dust under Peach's feet every time she begins to move.
9:33 Well... that was akwward.

That's true ^^ But let's be FAIR, Nintendo has so much more potential than this.
There was an update just released that allows you to use the Pro Controller with NSMB U, and I'm pretty sure this game supports it as well.
Awkward Silence at the end.
Seriously, I thought this game was going to be terrible because of this interview.
no one makes better interviews than Greg Miller, the man is a real gamer
this video was painfully awkward to watch
How so?
0:00 - 0:11 milky milkshake anyone?
AWKWAAAAARD
I'm getting more and more excited for this game.
jesus H, marry me Naomi..
mario is usable for just exploration cuz he is such an all-around character that can get through any stage
Awkwardddddd
Have something to say about Bowser's Fury?
xd

btw peach is also usable for far platforms and the safest character to play with.
Bowser got himself lost and Peach, having an attachment to Bowser, convinces the rest to set out and find/rescue him :3
I hope so too, but I am pretty sure that the gamepad has (what would be) a wii motion plus built in
Yeah, I suppose I see it. The "3D" must mean that it's a 3D platformer, then. Yeah, okay Nintendo. I'll let it slide. Now gimme more cats!!
We all had our awkward moments, please guys.
Oh my god, that beat is in so many things. I kid you not, I heard it in the news, multiple videos, the radio, and every time I hear it I think of Milky Milkshake.
This video was six years ago wow I feel old right now
Note the quotation marks for emphasis.
They should make a gopher suit power up that allows you dig underground at certain points on the level.
Mario Kart, Mario Bros, Zelda, etc. .. These are the games that make you want to get back to play a Nintendo console as in my childhood:)
You're not the only one. I expected another Galaxy game. But I'll just see how well this one does.
Bought this game yesterday and its freakn awesome can't stop playing
with added character with different abilities, minigames, new levels
9:37 when he did the cat hands, that was weird
Probably one of the best things I've seen xD
We have cat suit, mushrooms, fire flowers, starmans, tanooki suits, frog suits, propeller box, coin block from nsmb2, double cherry, missile shooting block, kuribos skate, goomba costume, giant mushroom, boomerang suit, shell, throwable items like baseballs, and I think I'm missing a few.
This actually looks pretty good, can't wait to see more
more i watch footage of this game the more i like it. think i'm in love.
She was a playable character in super mario 2, super mario advance, super princess peach, and this one too.
New mechanics dude the clear pipe n stuff, it might not be that creative but they took the great bits of lots of game (characters n stats from super mario bros 2) the 3d from mario 3d land, multiplayer from new super mario bros and rolled them all into one awesome game.
So when is the Wii U expected to really take off? 2014, 2015 or 16ish?
I wonder if theres going to be a HUB world and if so what would it be?
That's it. I want a Wii U right this instant!
Waluigi skyrocketed on my 'characters who need to be in more games' list the second he started doing the crotch chop celebration in strikers.
and just like they said in the walkthrough, toad is the hardest character to play with, mostly used for advanced players, and definitely usable for speed runs.
I can't even keep track of the Mario games now
2:45 Insert classic life lost sound from SMB3 please
You can tell they've already been playing the game for ten minutes. He has 50 lives.
The original Toad had red spots but the Toad in Super Mario USA had Blue spots to contrast Mario.
Not the only one. I want a sunshine sequel. They could do it because as we know at the end of the first one, II Piantissimo found E. Gadd's paint brush.
To finish the courses and get to the end, like it always has been?
Actually, Psycho was correct. It's a remake, not a port. A port would mean they simply transferred the game over to the DS without making any changes, which the game clearly had quite a few of. They made the game again with some new features added in, fitting the perfect description of a remake.
I guess I won't have to claw out my friends' eyes now when playing Mario together.
Did anybody else notice a toad in the translucent pipe at 10:02? He was just circling around
Do you think they'll Twewy 3DS sometime?
People might break the touch pad from rage if they did.

The beginning theme was the milkshake song sung by Smosh!
Did you try the new super mario bros u, I saw on a review it was kinda hard is it true? oh and BTW I think that since Nintendo is more about family kids etc. they don't want to do anything hardcore anymore =( it's sad.
There was one on DS. If anything, Sunshine needs a remake, although this game looks fantastic.
that tube thing was actually first featured in Mario party 1
What is rosalina doing in that picture?
the cat suit's abilitys make me think of knuckles. you know climbing walls gilding and stuff
The first 3D platforming multiplayer ever without split screens or online, players.
it was a dolphin and it isn't a new yoshi. they were in super mario world in some water and land levels.
I liked Sticker Star. Perhaps it didn't have a very deep plot but the gameplay was fun and the puzzles were pretty enjoyable. What reasons do you have for not liking it? It's a legitimate opinion but I'm interested in your opinion. :)
true... but its been over 10 years... I just hope they do...
I wonder if those fish swim away when you get close to them.
Underrated means that it doesn't get as much attention as it deserves.
WAS THE GRASS MOVING?!
i cant help but wish the world was based on the super nintendo super mario world. I miss those environments, creatures, and the cape...
Audrey is so cute!! kept it flowing & professional even when it got a lil awkward.. can't wait to get this game!!

This game is one of the reasons I will be picking up a Wii U. It looks fantastic!
anybody else notice that the beginning was the music to Milky Milkshake by Smosh???

That ending was hilariously awkward.
if they haven't been on the nostalgia train a lot w/ mario recently, this would've been ok
Since always. Its rare but does the same as the tanooki suit.
In HD that would be the most beautiful game of all time.
Mario Sunshine 2 would be a killer app for sure. Most underrated Mario game of all time.
The intro of the video is the instrumental to smosh's milky milkshake!
Peach and toads voice is if they are playable in super mario galaxy 1 and 2 and super mario 3d land
Cat Suit seems OP. I'll still get the game.
And remember the tanooki suit is back again aswell.... jesus.
I have played SM64 and Mario games onward and I honestly believe the Super Mario Galaxy games blow all the others out the water.
wow that cat power up looks like a halloween costume
is this for PC or WII
Wii U
This looks mad fun. I think it's a little funny how they made a big deal out of clear tubes as an innovative feature "never before seen in a mario game" XD.
This is supposed to be the sequel. It just need more of the classic sounds and effects.
will this game also be available for the 3DS ?
definetly looks like the perfect mario game, ill be getting it first day
what would be the difference between that and the first one
Even though it appears easy it still looks like a lot of fun. I'd add this to my Mario collection.
You contradicted yourself saying it's similar to a card made six years ago. It's similar, but it's running games now that couldn't have been running six years ago.
I like it how she was shaking her head yes if like she could understand the other guy..speaking in JP
This game was actually really fun when I played the demo at Best Buy, except when we went to do the boss, there was an elevator segement that goes down. Just as it was leaving i did a spin jump landing on the platform before. The elevator continued with the other three and they died ... :3
When Peach dies Bowser image appears, so Bowser is the antagonist. Hmm, what is he planning?
