I haven't commented on all in this series but i'm watching them all I fix alot of old stuff and bikes I love the satisfaction of bringing them back to life You are doing a great job I hope it will inspire more people to try this
Yes I completely replaced the BB. You can get a new Wald BB for it that will work fine. But there are differences from the stock BB. The difficulty comes in fitting the dust cover on the side opposite the chain wheel. Mine still stands a bit proud of the BB and won't keep dirt and muck out of my BB, so I'll have to come up with another cover, or run with out one. Most bikes don't use them at all.
I've got a similar-year rollfast. Did you end up using the same bottom bracket or purchase a new one? My BB is completely shot, and I'd like to replace the cups and bearings (or perhaps the entire assembly. I've seen a lot of different sizes... any insight?

Out of no where I found a 1937 rollfast and have been bringing her back to life ur series are a real eye opener ty so much

I believe it is a D.P. Harris chain ring.
