In the day they would grind one case against the other with valve grinding paste to make a
" perfect " seal . The next big breakthrough was Hex Allen Screws which usually kept tight .
Have used HYLOMAR once and was v impressed , looking through YT getting a few clues on another application of it . Good Luck with the Beza BSA ( beautiful machines with soul )

Hylomar is good stuff. Works on copper and shim head gaskets as well.

I have used it on air cooled VWs engine rebuilds also used it on 1MZ-FE tappet covers, is aviation recommended, stays pliable and tolerant to heat and expansion with alloy parts

Cool idea with the thread. Will try it tomorrow with my KTM and the Hylomar Blue I just bought

For your information if you want to remove old Hylomar petrol won't work as the product is totally resistant to it. The product you will need to use is HYLOCLEAN which is available in a 400ml aerosol. For further info see www.hylomar.com.

no need for the thread on a m'cycle engine, this technique is for high crankcase pressure applications, just bloogoo on it's own suffices. been using this stuff 34 years, the only essential is cleaning your mating surfaces

Why sealer higher than oil level ? Do u ever true your case gasket surface ? I only use sealer on divots and never on any new gasket. On a repair to remove old sealer cost the customer $ and is tedious and annoying to do.
