Hi guys, I’ve been emailing PRS recently about a left handed version of the Silver Sky model being made and I was hoping of you see this you could just give it a like as they have said they will make it if enough people show interest, then I would be able to send them the proof which would contributing to them making one

Just bought one in gold today! Finally a dream come true! Can’t wait to pick it up tomorrow from the store! Set up new strings and play all day! What a masterpiece of a guitar ! The pickups are perfect and the resonance is unreal

I return to this often. Fun performances. Tasty playing. And I really love the look of this SS! There's also something about that little positioning adjustment, right around the 0:20 mark, that I rather enjoy. Sometimes the movements musicians make, in-between the phrasing, are just as much a part of the vibe as the notes they play. A little wiggle or shake of the instrument. A tiny reassessment of the volume or tone knob position. It's all a part of the performance.
Played a Silver Sky for the first time today, man what a revelation. I never understood maple boards, but that was the first maple board to really grab me.
Oh man....I would be all over a PRS tele style guitar. They have a few that do really great Strat sounds: 305, dc3 and now Silver Sky....but I have not played a PRS yet that can really cop that tele sound.
Yeah if they do a tele style I'm screwed...I'll buy 1 in every color! I did get lucky & preordered the new nebula color...turns out only 500 are being made in that finish 😎😎😎

Prs are the best guitars made today at ANY price point hands down. Brian is one of the Very best in the world….Smooth doesn’t do it justice, tasteful is a close as I can get.
Should definently try before you buy. Imo, if you close your eyes, it plays like a really nice strat, sounds like a strat. Is it worth the extra money over a American elite/Ultra... that's the hard part. I spend nearly an hour playing one that was used and selling for $2200 CAD which is great price but... couldnt see the value in it over a used American Ultra that was like... $1000 cheaper. Never the less, arguably the best non-custom shop Strat tyle guitar I've ever played.
This really has 5 usable positions. Usually, you set the strat for a favorite position, and go from there. With luck, 3 out of 5 will sound good. But this one... great job, indeed.
This is one my favorite guitars of all time (40+ years of guitar slinging). This said. I’d love to see a version with a flamed maple top. Some folks are sure to scream “No!!!!” at me for saying this, but many of the most iconic Strats weren’t done in solid colors. Of course, I plan on my existing Silver Sky being with me “forever”!
PRS craftmanship is absurdly good. I had the chance to try one of these silver sky and it just blew my mind. It is a matter of taste after all, but as far as I'm concerned I found it to be way better than any strat I could put my hands on. Keep the good work guys. My next 2,5k investment will be on this beauty.
That sounds amazing and i don't know why but i love that colour and maple neck combination. Only a casual Mayer fan but this guitar sounds fender custom shop quality.

@@rhykko77 look at some the greatest ...majority played most of their career on single coil.Roro Gallagher...Garry moore Jeff.beck clapton page ...his teles...Jimi hendrix...early chet atkins single coil Gretsch....Gilmour SRV...keith richards Prince on and on and on Carlos at woodstock...single coils....
I wouldn't just buy this because its a "signature" guitar, but rather because it just sounds so good for anything you throw at it. It really does sound 'HD' to my ears if that makes any sense lol. And its a perfect clean slate for creating any strat tone you want, without having any harshness from the start.
The wiring on the Silver Sky are different than the traditional Stratocaster. They have a 300k pot on the volume and took it to 275k using a resistor according to the Musicradar page. So maybe buying the pickups are not enough to achieve similar tone.

Normally I don't fancy the country bridge, middle, or 4th position pick up, but all positions on this guitar sound pretty damn good.
