Great video, I'm a good player but I got injured around 2018 as well from pushing too hard and too often and the "what if" does get to me sometimes. Vouch absolutely for changing tapping technique to whatever you feel is comfy and RELAXED (look into piano posture), did it last year and was back to tapping speed in not long at all. You can always train the next day (or better yet for big speed grinds, a day of rest) if you end the session early for hand health.
Uncertainty can be the scariest thing when it comes to anything. Thats the main thing that holds people back from improving themselves no matter what it may be. Im glad you were able to overcome that set back, keep pushing my friend.
first! thank you for this video, i'm definitely gonna be more careful when playing. this kind of felt like a wake up call for me, so I appreciate this a lot :))
I literally felt this way for a pretty long time, around 3-4 month. I eventually stopped playing 2 weeks ago since i got too mad about performing worse. Now i cant even pass a small stream or burst properly. I feel the exact way you described and im thinking of taking a break for longer and maybe when i get into it change my playstyle. Thank you for this video, made me realize a lot! :)
Hey Im sorry to hear that you are having issues with performance. You arent alone though, today im feeling pretty defeated after having some hand pain come about again. Keep your head up and eventually you will come back refreshed. Take all the time you need and Im glad I could help if only a little bit! :)
Ive been playing stream or like speed maps since i mainly started as streams were the most dominant skill for me and i'd say that the biggest thing that helped was noticing how fluid ur tapping is, ive experimented differently such as using mainly my fingers or then also sort of adding wrist movement into motion with the fingers alternating which really did make a huge difference especially because how fluid it felt to tap so yeah that alone got me out of a huge skill wall
holy shit fucking thank you for that tensing my forearm technique thingy bc now my tendons arent being a little bitch when i do a stream lol. i actually had to stop playing osu for a few days bc i injured myself last week while grinding for rank 1 mil. and i couldve avoided that if i used my fucking forearm. like damn
I'm so glad I found this, I was able to pass my limits today and was going to try and do the same thing Tomorrow although I strained my finger and it hurts but I guess I'll rest for a few days!
with your video I realized i have that "tendon tapping style", but even playing long stream maps and feeling that burn on them, I don't really find that painful and still get that stamina improve, do you still think that it is bad and I should change this tapping style? nice video btw
If you feel fine doing it that way and you have not had any pain, then it is probably fine to continue. Some people recover more easily than others, or just have better genetics. Glad you liked it!
@@SanzuRiver I took a look at your profile, you should focus more on playing maps with more streams. Eventually you will see your accuracy improve. Good luck!

I fell as a kid and my right wrist still gets out of place some times.
i hurt my tapping hand like 2 months and i couldnt play but now i can play and slowly have to work back to get speed back now i can play without pain
Same i cant move my middle finger or tap it gets lock when ever j try too what to do man im soo frustrated 😢
You should stop playing and let your hand fully recover before you play again...

@@Chaoticy thx for answering, keep with videos like these up!!
What is the skin
I still don't understand tapping to actually reading streams 😢
Follow the stream with your eyes and you should find that it will become much easier for you to hit it. Its easy to get overwhelmed.
@@Chaoticy I tried. But my ur veers off into 300s the second that shit is longer than a quint 😭
