Brain is obviously a competent drummer, to say the very least, but once Tim Alexander left the band the first time around, the drum-kit took a massive downgrade: Brain's setup is far more standard in comparison to Tim Alexander's arsenal of toms. Therefore, less sound. In addition to that, Brain seems to be less enthusiastic about the hi-hat pummeling that Herb is/was very keen on, which, in my opinion, was yet another downgrade, musically.
@@mr.roberto2709 You could call it "overplaying", I suppose, but I think "overplaying" will sometimes sign things with a big signature, which I like. Sometimes I like when you put on a record and you can recognize who you're listening to on their respective instrument. It's the closest an instrumentalist can come to having "a voice", if you will.

Les always looks like the character you create and press random apparence before every show
Les with the Bob Ross perm. And Brain just killing it on the trap set.
Got to see these guys in 96 in a small venue. Blew my mind man.
Brain is such an underrated drummer
Brain Mantia #1 drummer in Primus for me! Fockin beast, very inspired me as musician
Brain hit pretty damn hard.
Caught this performance on HBO when I was 14 and became an instant fan. First time I'd heard Primus before. John the Fisherman sounds so good here.
This was my first concert, and it was magic, and nothing compares
Awesome! Lucky man
My goodness, I love Herb, but Duchess needs Brain. Just plain mind melting.
brain kicks ass
Joyita 🤘🤘
What is this? Like i get primus lost their sound a bit towards the release of antipop but fuck man this is like primus remixed

@@hamupinhere brain was more groove oriented which I enjoyed more than Tim who I think overplayed at times
