    That's great! I wonder how would look a black glitter guitar 🤗🖤🤔😅 Should I try? I have one guitar I haven't played for years... Maybe I could bring it to life with a new design 😅🤷🏻‍♀️

    Do you think that if i use some rhinestones near the soundhole ( near where the designs are usually present ) on my acoustic, would it sound diferent?

    • @JoyFrost
      @JoyFrost  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The sound of your guitar is influenced by the whole piece of wood on top resonating, so putting rhinestones anywhere on the top of the guitar really will change the sound, especially because the rhinestones gently rattle together like I mentioned in the video - I chose a tolerable quality guitar to bedazzle, not a great one, so there was really no loss in sound quality for me, since there wasn't much to start with! lol :)

    I've had this video saved since I got an old family guitar passed down to me in June, thank you so much for breaking down your process so well!
    Did you use 3mm or 5mm rhinestones on the head board? And would you recommend using the same size rhinestones you did? Or now that you've had this project completed, do you wish you had used different sizes?

    • @JoyFrost
      @JoyFrost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On the headboard I used 3mm and on the body I used 5mm :) They are a really great size, though you could probably get away with sizing up a little bit on the body if you wanted to. My only regret really is not using lines of glue because the hotfix method of spending 15-30 seconds melting EACH gem took for-freaking-ever

    • @JoyFrost
      @JoyFrost  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used 3mm in one spot on the body, right under the neck where the 5mm were too big to fit :) I also used the 3mm again on the bottom to help outline and fill in the letters of my name which I hid in it - but if you don't put in a name you can save yourself a bunch of time just doing 5mm throughout :)

    The name change from Dread Pirate Roberts to Buttercup put a weird image in my head of an alternate universe version of The Princess Bride where instead of being engaged to Humperdink, Buttercup takes to the sea in search of Wesley and ends becoming the Dread Pirate Roberts...

    Rust oleum has a pearl white glitter do you think it matters using that or the silver?

    • @JoyFrost
      @JoyFrost  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm sure it will look great! it only shows through in the tiny millimeter 'corner gaps' between the rhinestones you choose, so the guitar might just turn out a slightly brighter shade :)

    how much of a difference in sound quality would there be on a guitar without DI input?

    • @JoyFrost
      @JoyFrost  ปีที่แล้ว

      The gems rattle together a little bit. It has to be very quiet in the room for you to hear it

  • @axlg.685
    @axlg.685 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does it affect the acoustic sound of the guitar?

    Do you think I can use the rinestone application on my pick guard, probably plastic, or will it melt from the heat of the gun to apply the rinestones?

    • @JoyFrost
      @JoyFrost  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Peel it off first, not because it will melt, but for aesthetic reasons. It will make everything in that section raised up higher from the rest of the guitar and be very obvious that it wasn't an even surface beneath- unless you want to keep look of the pick guard on purpose! I just wanted a flat cohesive look.
