I see that you used a syringe to apply your glue. i have seen others use the needle tip bottles. is there an advantage to the syringe? does the glue harden in the syringe? thanks for sharing.
The syringe is easier in my opinion because the bottle has to be kept upside down to keep the adhesive at the needle and theres always air in the bottle so squeezing it to push the adhesive out hurts my hand after a short time. Theres no air in the syringe and you can control the flow of adhesive better. You can place a sewing needle in the tip when not in use or cover it with a piece of electrical tape to keep the nozzle from drying up.
Ok, this was an amazing video. I've never done rhinestones but this video has given me the inspiration to try it. I'm nervous but we have to start somewhere and this size cup is perfect to start with. Thank you so very much for going slowly as you explained everything. I LOVE these rhinestones and this design!! THANK YOU!! 💎♦️💠💖💎♦️💠💖💎♦️💠💖
If I bling out a plastic tumbler, do I need to scuff up the outer surface like you did on this stainless steal cup? And do I need to spray paint it a color as well or can I leave it clear?
Hi love how it turned out. Thank you for sharing with us. I want to start making these but always have questions... Is it necessary to paint any cup before adding crystal rhinestones? I have a few new stainless steel tumblers from Costco but they already have a solid color on them. Can I not just sand it first to prep and start adding the rhinestones?
You dont have to have a color first but ir does help to avoid seeing spaces where the cup is exposed between rhinestones. You always want to sand your surface first for the best rhinestone adhesion.
The pen item that you are using to pick up the crystals with is it magnetic at the end? Also will it be rather difficult to pull out the blue rubber or plastic flowered insert inside of the tumbler after you finish with everything? How much would all of the items cost if I were to buy the holder and crystals and more and could I buy them all from a craft store like Michael's or Joann's or Hobby Lobby? And also would it be much more expensive to buy the set to make the special cups or to get it done professionally?
The pen tip is made of wax. The insert is not difficult to remove. I don't have a total cost for you, but it would be less expensive to buy one from a maker over buying all the materials to make one.
You don’t need to seal the paint with resin before applying the stones? The paint doesn’t chip? Is it food safe to not seal the paint? I really want to try this!!
I love this so much, thanks! I’ve been intimidated by rhinestones and have wanted to do more with them. I have to ask where you got your rhinestone tray from, it is adorable!
Beautiful cup. I love it. Question, do you have to seal the spray paint at all? Is the paint adhered enough to the cup the the stones won’t pop off with the paint? Thanks.
Heya! You don’t need to seal the paint and the stones won’t pop off with the paint. Once that paint has a couple days to adhere to the steel it’s not going anywhere.
Do you have to paint after sanding? I have a cup that is already purple like the one you have but I am planning to use hot pink stones. This will be my first try! Not sure if I could just sand and go. Thank you for the video!!!
Omg! loveee this you done a fab job jess! with the Starry Skies in sizes SS3 - SS20, do all the sizes come in one bag? or do you need to buy each size separate? xx
They’re sold in separate bags. I do have a scatter mix in this color with all sizes mixed together but you wouldn’t get enough of one size in that mix to do something like this
That is soooo pretty! I make epoxy tumblers but I'm terrified of rhinestones. LOL! Curious question though, what are the care instructions for a tumbler with rhinestones? I totally expected you'd give a thin coat of resin but like I said, I'm scared of rhinestones on my tumblers. :-P
You dont epoxy over rhinestones. It floods the facets of the stone and they dont sparkle. Proper prep and application and they can be treated just like epoxy tumblers, handwash, no dishwasher.
Maybe a silly question, but what do you do with the glue syringe after a project? Does it keep for another project or is it a one time use before the glue dries in it? I ordered some rhinestones from you yesterday! I can’t wait to get started on a project :)
It is reusable. If you place a pin in the nozzle or tightly cover it with a piece of vinyl, that will keep glue from drying in the nozzle between uses.
The precision was unmatched this is surgical level art , I'm obsessed.
Ha. Thank you!
Beautiful! I want to start doing these. Thanks for this video!!
You are so welcome!
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!

A most watch for beginners like me.

If I bling out a plastic tumbler, do I need to scuff up the outer surface like you did on this stainless steal cup? And do I need to spray paint it a color as well or can I leave it clear?
Yes you do need to scuff up the surface but you don’t need to base color it but it will look different if you don’t
I love this😍
Thank you and I love you, but please what is the name of the glue used?♥️
Liquid fusion
can you use hotglue rhinestones? if not is there anyway to remove the glue from the rhinestones to turn them into flatback rhinestones
You can glue hotfix rhinestones the same way
I absolutely love this 💜Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas 🎄 thank you
Do new to this but what do you pick up the stone with to place them
A wax pen
Sooo beautiful 😍 love it. Stay blessed 🥰

Gorgeous! Not for me, I tried rhinestone tumblers and I don't have the patience LOL. But you make it look so easy!
Thank you! 😊

What is the applicator your using? How are the rhinestones sticking to it? By Applicator I mean the pencil looking thing.
I link all items used in the description of each of my tutorials.
All good, bought one off Temu for $3
Where can I buy the equipment so I can start learning how to do this projects? Super nice.
Everything is always linked for you in my description box
Do you use a wax to get the rhinestones to stick on the tool?
Yes there’s wax on the tool that picks them up
What grit do you sand with? Does it matter or just anything to rough up the surface?
Do these rhinestones ever come off with every day cleaning? Looks amazing
Proper prep is important, as well as adhesive. Aftercare is the same as epoxy tumblers.
Hi, I am new at this and really want to learn, this is very exciting for me, where can I get the materials to use?
I have links to all materials used in the description box of this video
@@FlynnSistersBoutique thank you let me look at them
tysm for this im 19 and i want to strt something like this
Enjoy it!
Thanks ❤️
I need to know what type of glue you use, so that you can wash the tumblers without the stones falling off!!
Liquid fusion 💗
You don’t need to seal the paint with resin before applying the stones? The paint doesn’t chip? Is it food safe to not seal the paint? I really want to try this!!
You don’t have as long as you prep your steel and use light even coats of paint.
After the glue is all used up in the syringe, do you throw the syringe away or can it be reused?
It can be refilled again and again
I love this so much, thanks! I’ve been intimidated by rhinestones and have wanted to do more with them. I have to ask where you got your rhinestone tray from, it is adorable!
Thank you. It was a gift 🥰 You can find similar trays on etsy or amazon.

So nice
Thanks
💎Gorgeous!💎
So cute
When u were removing the first big Stanley cup, what color were the rhinestones that you were using for that one? Beautiful by the way!
I believe you're referring to the one I made using the transparent crystal ab scatter mix from my supply shop.
Do you customize people personal cups
I dont make customs. I only teach.
Absolutely stunning. I do have a question...do you actually use this cup? Just curious if the rhinestones are uncomfortable when drinking.
They arent uncomfortable, in my opinion. I use them daily.
I love your work very nice .I work with blinks but I would like to see how to blink a Bingo DabberT y .
Love it

Love this!!! What are you using to top off your syringe when not in use….I could guess, but - thought I’d ask. 🙏🏻
It’s just a silicone bead!
