- As part of the Stage 3 Briefing for the Police Online Assessment Centre, you have to answer 12 questions about a vulnerability, drug taking, drug dealing and violent crime scenario.
I know - surely you aren't expected to know this stuff before you join?
I agree, but this is what you have to get through - the 'Golden Rule' applies, Those who hold the Gold, make the Rules!.
Here are my OAC Stage 3 Briefing predictions - the scenarios and the questions, and all based on ethical sources.

Thank you very much for this video!!!! I watched this video and it really helped me prepare. I have passed the final assessment centre and just have pre employment+fitness test.
How long did it take for you to hear back after this stage?
Congrats on passing. How long is the fitness test after the assessment centre?

I did my stage 1 and 2 of the assessment centre today, doing stage 3a and 3b tomorrow.
I have my briefing exercise tomorrow , wish me luck!. This has been a brilliant prep I have watched his over and over again !

This video is a great start for the briefing exercise it’s very accurate! As long as you’re aware of community policing issues , drug dealing , homelessness etc and how to combat it you should be alright for the briefing exercise
The competency based interview was the one I dreaded the most just make sure you cover what the competency is looking for. (TIP do not assume the question will be can you give me a time where you’ve shown ....... as it threw me off when one of the questions wasn’t like that)
And as for the written exercise it’s essentially common sense you’ll be given a scenario mine being a community policing based issue . Very much wanted me to highlight the issues , how can I tackle them? , what do I need to consider? Stuff like that mate

No, you have 7 days to complete it you can do one a day
Hi, Could you give some guidance as to the eligibility of someone with bipolar for the police force if they haven’t had any symptoms in years?
No chance.
It’s done on a case by case basis, worth giving your applied forces recruitment team a call and hopefully they’ll pass you onto the medical team who will be able to give you better advice.
Don’t let other’s comments put you off!
If you haven’t had symptoms in years and your doctor can vouch for that then you’ve got a good chance in my opinion
Jeez they really must be scrapping the barrel these days if they're letting people with mental health disorders join. In the past they would've told you no if you were below 6ft in height 😂😂😂

@@lp8548 did you have your interview or did you hear back from them then receive a date for a interview after the 3 exercises?
@@nobchopper9728 so I completed all 3 exercises and receive an email via Mfss the website I applied from saying I passed. I received an email basically saying I needed to complete a vetting form , eye test and complete a drug and fitness test which were all individually scheduled the eye test I had to go to my local opticians and they just stamp the sheet you print out .
Very straight forward personally , waiting for my start date I they just have to check my references I had my university lecturer as one of my references and a family friend
@Project Doe yeah it depends on the force you’re applying too mate my one doesn’t require one
Will I pass vetting with a police shoplifting caution when I was 15?
Probably not as it is an offence that involves dishonesty, but you willl not know for certain until the end of the process, Brendan
@@bluelightconsultancy only because I saw a news article saying the MET are letting police in with minor cautions now?
@@AwesumEffyFan all you can do is try but when it comes to vetting be sure to declare everything
