- Police Recruitment, Direct Entry Detective? Ready for your Briefing Exercise? Time to IIMARCH!
If you are preparing for the Direct Entry Detective Constable Recruitment Process, either in Met Police or one of the other several forces running this scheme, then you are highly likely to have to undergo a Briefing Exercise.
In this Explainer Video, the second in a series of several, I describe a model briefing structure - When you IIMARCH you'll nail it!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all of these videos - this method of briefing in particular is SO helpful! I went into the exercise feeling very confident and found out today I got the job. A huge thank you again and I’m excited to get started!
I found out this week I’ve been accepted onto the MET’s DHEP Detective course and am starting in September! Thank you so much for the help from your excellent videos
How is it going?

Going well thanks, a lot to learn but it’s going very quickly

Sure! Very busy and it feels like you’re spinning plates balancing caseload alone, never mind also fitting in uni work and portfolio entries. Hard work honestly
Hi, thankyou so much for all the videos, can you do some videos directly on the Police Constables Degree . Thankyou!
Hello! I was wondering, do they give the verdict on spot, or will you receive it later?
Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme 🤓 Great vids, very insightful and greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Do you have a direct email to get in touch with you mate.
I just passed this briefing. Good approach here. Tip. 2o mins to brief is innacurate
Different forces, different times, some are 20 mins, some are 10 mins with 10 mins Q&A, 43 different ways of joining the police! Glad you liked the video, Brendan
How was the briefing? I have mine tomorrow, but they didn’t give or mention any of this for my preparation. So obviously I am now freaking out. Mine is with the MET
