I was a esim user for atleast 8 months but I need to switch my sim to another low end phone so I reverted back to physical one. But otherwise it's a great and very convenient to use esim except its not easily transferable especially in India.

My pixel 4 a do support E-sim but the process of activation is quite complex. Your number gets deactivated for 24 hours which is the thinking point for me .
Any day physical sim... Easy to port from one phone to another. Not need of camera/internet if you want to register again No tension on software sided issues or hacks. No easy cloning of your phone number.

5G I always had network issue with Airtel compared to Jio, converted my Airtel into eSIM, it is performing better than JIO now. don't know what issue you are talking about.
Personally I would like to have a dual SIM device with 1 esim and other physical. From Airtel CEO's perspective people should use esim because Airtel have postpaid only option for esim, so double or triple profit for them and that should not be the reason behind using esim device.

Airtel offers esim on prepaid. It's just if you want to use a smartwatch with number sharing, that feature is restricted to postpaid. Esim on phone is available for both prepaid and postpaid. I switched to esim because I needed to use it with a smartwatch. For number sharing, galaxy watch requires you either have samsung smartphones or esim on any other Android phone (I have pixel). Esim and lte on watch has been working great. Haven't noticed any issues till date.

Esim porting tech in Airtel is really really easy. Takes just 1 min. Jio on the other hand takes 2hrs for some reason
