- eSIM is one of the new technologies that has started gaining traction as various telecom operators such as Airtel and Vodafone have started providing people with the option to go for one. However, the new trend is also prone to fraudulent activities that can steal your money.
To stay safe from such online scams, you must stop believing the fraudulent messages they receive. If anyone fishy calls you asking for your information to update your KYC, DO NOT provide any information to the person. Instead, call the actual customer care number and ensure your phone number is safe. Additionally, refrain from sharing your banking details with anyone, be it via a Google form or someone over a call.
If you have fallen prey to an eSIM fraud, immediately contact the customer care to stop the eSIM activation process.

First of all great initiative to educate citizens. Secondly when you want to activate e sim it ask to send the email which is registered to that particular number, usually they do not accept any other email address.

An excellent initiative by you and Jharkhand Police. Why is it not possible for the Telecom operator to identify that it's a fraudulent transaction, I mean there are multiple ways to identify such fruadulent transactions or they should ensure verification before sending the code.

But I have a question...if everyone knows JAMTARA as a place which is the hub of all frauds,why isn't the police taking steps in that area or raiding the place n arresting the culprits?
Jio also has esim services. It is for the first time in my lifetime I have seen an Indian cop using presentation for public to create awareness. This is different from the usual sides that we have seen so far. Good job !!

All persons who are recieving or are victims of fraud we all have a duty to report
Because by grace of Almight and our vigilance we are saved but soneine else who is not so sawdhan May become a victim, unforunately it could mean a matter of their life or death
We have tobe good citizens and report. We are all brothers and sister we care for each other.
One sugestion i can make is perhaps if cyber shurksha set up an anonymous website where ppl can report such crimes. Then more criminals would be exposed.
