Is it just me, or does your post not address the dilemma at all? Jesus said the thief would be WITH HIM (= Jesus) in paradise the same day. But the WTBTS teaches that Jesus will be in heaven, and the thief will be on earth. So in what sense -- given WTBTS teaching -- will the thief be WITH JESUS? I don't see how your post addresses that.

(John 5:28, 29) Jesus saw in the evildoer’s repentant and respectful attitude a basis for including him among the billions who will be resurrected to earthly life and the opportunity to prove their worthiness to live forever in Paradise." Are you thick? Being with someone, whether God or Jesus, does nor literally mean being in their presence. There are lots of biblical references about God being with his people, but it never means that he was actually there.
