Wow. That was slick. I passed P Company in 1981, and how it's changed. No head guards for the milling, then, but the attitude is similar. It's good to hear them referring to killing the enemy, not 'Taking them out' and other insidious euphemisms. This may no longer be the case, but we were given every opportunity to 'jack', back then. Every man at all times was able to give up; it was made easy. Back of the land rover, no acrimony. It was impossible to know who would pass. I had a guardsman, who was desperate to join the paras, in front of me on to the confidence course (an assault course 70' in the air), he froze; he just couldn't do it. And a man who took a backward step in the milling; he failed. And I can remember crawling for what seemed like miles under a lot of weight. An instructor sidled up to me in silence with a small note book and said to me, quietly, so nobody could overhear, "Wanna jack, sir, wanna jack? Go on sir, jack". I kept going. He was looking for hesitation. Paras aren't only about aggression, killing the enemy requires cunning, too. Paras are total bastards. What would we do without them? Forgive the Rupert writing style; I can't be arsed to translate. God save the Queen.

Here in Indian Army, the SF is part of the Parachute Regiment. In Indian Army the Parachute Regiment is divided into two roles, SF and airborne infantry. The PARAs of Indian Army consists of 14 battalions ( 9 SF and 5 Airborne Infantry). Every SF battalion is specialised in a different type of warfare, 3 battalions for mountain warfare and COIN, 2 battalions for desert warfare and COIN, 3 battalions for jungle warfare and COIN and 1 battalion for urban warfare, tactical ops and COIN. The 5 Airborne infantry battalions are used as a support group of SFs.

My kid's uncle served in 1st Battalion, loved it, came out was a postman for a while and thought fuck that, went into private security and now has his own contracts.
Thankyou for your SERVICE . GOD BLESS YOU GG
The best video I’ve seen on TH-cam so far.

True heroes, each and every one. My father served in the Para's in WW2.
Murdering bastards in Ireland
My father is ex 3 Para, 50s/60s ,in his 80's now , still has the same stoic attitude to life and wears his beret with pride on armistice day . 🤘🏻
Love the content bud keep em coming
I was in the army in 1968. We done 3 x1min rounds of boxing but we had no head gear in basic training. We didn’t know at the time, but it was all about. THAT WORD DISCIPLINE. and believe me it works, GOD BLESS THE BRITISH ARMY 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The Paras rock!!!! 🇬🇧. Love from the USA. 👍
A nice clip.
Late father was former Airborne man of 1 Para based at Arnhem barracks,Aldershot 1962-1974.
My younger brother served as a Para too with 216 Signals.
Our family is proud of the Airborne colors my late father and brother fought for.
In civvy life people remarked that Dad had this tough streak about him and would be wary of him.He was a great man but get on the wrong side of him........
This clip is a nice tribute to Dad who earned his wings and beret at Aldershot..Arnhem barracks !!!!!!
I have my Parachute Regiment Aptitude Course 2nd March to 4th March.
Good luck bud
@@trixualz219 Hi thanks, but I already passed over a month ago.
@@nosamsemaj9150 champ!!!
Respect
You in battalion yet lad?
Civilians hate paratroopers until they need someone to save them or the country. Ex SAS/ 2 Para.
Up most respect for these gentlemen 🇬🇧
Hard boys .....simple as....
My son is 3 Para 💪🏻

God gave his arch angels weapons, because when the Almighty knew that you can't fight terrorism with love and kind words.
God aint real
@@jordanhennessey289 shush
this is to show how aggressive and fearless the 16th assault brigade is
The Para's can be proud to say that they can go toe to toe with the RAF Regiment.
😂
You don't want these guys turning up on your door step because that would mean you were having a really bad day.
@TJ Murphy that's your opinion. Not shared by me or lots of other Britons.
They have conquered fear because they have jped from the sky. Everyman an emperor.
Shout out to my British brothers. AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!
I JUST WANT TO SAY GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
I worked with an ex para for 20 years he was a lunatic in the nicest possible way
I really want to join the PARAS as an officer. I am 14 right now, and training. Are there absolutely any tips related to the Army or fitness that would help me? Cheers
David Baer Barbell strength training, something like Stronglifts 5x5, lots of long runs and a full contact martial art, I’d suggest Muay Thai as it will give you incredible cardio.
running with weights in a backpack
Never give up mate.
@@sangyedorje3564 I really dont want to sound as a complainer, but I do TaeKwanDo, and everything here is softened up. Would boxing be a better alternative? We haent got Muay Thai here on IOW
@@davidhaggart1779 I have tried that mate, but my dumbells keep hitting me in the back every time I take a step. How could I avoid that?
Lads layin down some Led down range.. love to see it, hope to be there soon! Stay safe gents

Clever young men…
our unique anglo blood always shines GB
Remember arnhem. Paras finest hour. Honour in defeat. Even bittricht, German general praised them in his after battle report.
Another awesome vid, keep up the good work fella
4:35 why is he firing on his left eye I have always been told to fire from the right even if your left eyed
Left eyed? Is that a thing?
liked this so much i think i'll watch it again...CAN I GET A REEE-WIND?
Red Devil's Action Man
I did that once now I'm a little old man shuffling round the shops with me canvas shopping bag and runny nose...... But once upon a time
Got PRAC next month, can't wait
Joshua Turner hill runs and leg days are all you need pal. Watch out for that 4 miler on the land of nod or “big nod” it’ll burn your legs. 1.2 miler is easy. Steeplechase just stay hard and lace your boots tight. Give it a good go mate!
Tbh I'm not worried about fitness, for months I've been training to the old harder standards not realising they changed them, appreciate the advice though bud thank you.
Holy shite. That was intense. Good job lad.
Last combat jump 1956 suez

Well I can honestly say that the training has changed since 1980 .I was proud to handle and hold my hard earned cap.... ...sorry beret ......after the training I shows respect and makes you a man 2 para 1980 to 92 and proud of it paras number 1.
Cap?? You earned a Cap??
No Paratrooper would ever call their beret a cap...
And before you start, I'm ex 3 Para.
Please make one on the raf regiment
Wouldn't be a long video....... just them stood on guard at the camp main gate
Para Daz so original you waste man never heard that before
If the raf regiment want to be real soldiers then why dont they join the army?
May aswell just be TA
Yeah he can include thevVids of the blokes shooting up their own body armour too. Oh and when they went outside the camp in Iraq and had to be rescued by Royal Regiment of Wales 😂😂. People that wanna be soldiers but dont actually wanna be in the regular infantry, what's the actual point of em!!!
Yes make a Raf Reg video, entitle it "Harry The Hat"
Go on the reg!
