I was in Chennai for 7 years and 5 years in Bangalore but getting transfer to Chennai where my family is in. Traffic is less is Chennai and 13% lesser spendings than Bangalore alonh with another comfortability of living with friends and families. But I will miss Bangalore for its climate here, stylish costumes, privacy with husband and IT hub. Whicb one should I choose ? Bangalore or Chennai ... confused
Dude, regarding cuisines- due to the presence of huge automobile sector and early investments from Honda, there are a lot of authentic Japanese restaurants and the recent FDI and arrival of South Koreans, there a lot of Korean restaurants available in Chennai. Also, it also boasts some amazing Italian restaurants. Recently there is a rise in Mexican cuisine restaurants too. I do hope they introduce some French and Mediterranean cuisine restaurants to make them whole. (Heard there are some really amazing French restaurants in Pondicherry though). Biriyani is big in Chennai with breakfast being the Idli, Dosa, Pongal, Poori and Vada being the most popular but we see some Western breakfast options too nowadays.
Both cities being a huge trade hub with a lot of Marwari and Jain population would have amazing North Indian food for sure. (Forgot the names of many such restaurants in Chennai but most are awesome)
I have not lived in Bangalore but I do believe they will have a wide range of cuisines as well but would definitely lack in comparison to Chennai in my opinion.
Just my opinion which still lacks information as I have spent years in Chennai exploring the various cuisines in the city. If there are such great options in Bengaluru, please let me know would definitely love to try them when I visit the city.

Bangalore has nice climate through out the year whereas Chennai is relatively peaceful, I feel Indian Metro cities have the worst infrastructure... We should actually compare with our cities with World Cities which would make us feel inferior...
Chennai is gives bliss kind of feeling with less traffic, slow paced life yet with all world class facilities. Except for humid climate i don't see anything negative with the city.

As we all know both the cities are similar to each other but, in my opiniom slight edge for chennai for 5 reasons.
1. The cost of living around 35% much much lesser then Bengaluru in Chennai.
2. Conjection in bangaluru is horrible,

3.Chennai city cover morethan 100km almoat double the size of Bengaluru,
4 Transportation is much much better then any of the states... with almost 100kms... thats their main reason for development..
