I was in Chennai for 7 years and 5 years in Bangalore but getting transfer to Chennai where my family is in. Traffic is less is Chennai and 13% lesser spendings than Bangalore alonh with another comfortability of living with friends and families. I belong to TN and live abroad. I have lived in both cities during different years and keep visiting them. I felt bangalore to be cheaper in food, taxis, autos and many purchases, whereas chennai is more expensive.
Chennai is consist of more local people (people from other parts of the state). But in Bangalore you can see only outsiders (mostly people from other states). Also you missed the point of language. In Chennai, each and everyone speak Tamil without any fear in public or in the office. But in Bangalore, you can see multiple languages, mixing with Hindi.
Nowadays people without knowing history comparing the cities, only fools can do it. Why you should not compare bangalore and chennai? The reason is chennai is old one. Bangalore is a new city which is planned and newly constructed like new house. Chennai is like heritage one.

I had spent 4 years in chennai (2009-13) and I am living now (2018- till). Climate and during the rain no issues in Bangalore. However, Chennai is always hot city and during monsoon heavy flood. Life style Bangalore costlier than chennai. 10 moths advance for rental house but chennai 6 months only. Bangalore loosing it's own culture but chennai not.
My suggestion is that if you like Chennai go and stay in Chennai. If you like Bengaluru go and stay in Bengaluru. You will definitely find which city is better

I was in Chennai for 7 years and 5 years in Bangalore but getting transfer to Chennai where my family is in. Traffic is less is Chennai and 13% lesser spendings than Bangalore alonh with another comfortability of living with friends and families. But I will miss Bangalore for its climate here, stylish costumes, privacy with husband and IT hub. Whicb one should I choose ? Bangalore or Chennai ... confused

I belong to TN and live abroad. I have lived in both cities during different years and keep visiting them. I felt bangalore to be cheaper in food, taxis, autos and many purchases, whereas chennai is more expensive.

I had spent 4 years in chennai (2009-13) and I am living now (2018- till). Climate and during the rain no issues in Bangalore. However, Chennai is always hot city and during monsoon heavy flood. Life style Bangalore costlier than chennai. 10 moths advance for rental house but chennai 6 months only. Bangalore loosing it's own culture but chennai not.
British Madras is more respected and valued than than the Dravidian Chennai. Madras is an English city.Long live Madras!!!!
