Right samething with Red Dead 1 it doesn’t need a remake or remaster it plays well on series x at 4K but yet they want gta4 and rdr1 like those two games hold up pretty well especially rdr1
It's playable but there's still a lot of glaring issues with the game especially with the bugs. Because there's a shit ton of bugs. And also just janky controls. The graphics still look great however it'd still benefit from a graphical update. But really, all the bugs stop this game from being the perfect game that it deserves to be because if you play the game for a bit, the bugs just keep being a hindrance and degrade the whole experience. (I've 100% it a couple times)
Knowing Ubisoft, I think the reason we are getting ac4 remade specifically is because they know one of their upcoming games, Skull and Bones, is kinda struggling and may not be successful. Since they are both pirate sailing games they can reuse assets and systems to make sure they make enough of a profit. Two birds with one stone. That's probably why they are doing ac 4 specifically and not doing ac 1 or the ezio games.
That would make sense, I've been hyped for skull and bones, but to say it's development process is going through he'll right now would be an understatement.

The faces and the pixels for mgs3 all look the same as it did on the ps2, The only difference between the Ps2 and the Ps3 version is that the Ps3 version had a brighter picture and the colors show a little better but other than that it looks exactly as it did on the Ps2 and the mechanic are the same as it was on the Ps2, The only versions that looks different is the upcoming remade mgs3 version for the Ps4 and 5. I can't speak on RE4 because I'm not a fan of the RE series and I don't play RE games. Plus companies have a habit of charging a full 60 to 70 dollars for remade games that were already made. Like I understand companies need to make money but do they really need to charge a full 50 to 70 dollar for a remade game that came out more than 10 years ago? Sorry but that is ridiculous. Plus even if you have the original games you won't be able to play them unless you buy them in the store. For example, I have a lot of downloaded Ps2 games on my Ps3 that I can't downloaded on my Ps4 unless I rebuy them in the PlayStation Store using the Ps4 even if you have a physical copy of the game.
I think the AC community is very split into multiple groups; the Ezio trilogy fans (who are also fans of AC1, Unity, & Syndicate); the Colonial era fans (Black Flag, Rouge, Freedom Cry, & AC3), & the modern AC-RPG fans (Valhalla, Odyssey, & Origins) I think there's more of an outcry & for a longer period of time for something Black Flag related (like a sequel to it) than there is for an AC1 remake. Also, only in recent years there has been a growing outcry of wanting to harken back to that Ezio-style of Assassin's Creed which apparently they're getting later this year with Mirage However, as spontaneous as the outcry was (it was there for a while is just became louder in recent years), I do think Black Flag related AC was a very stable, loud outcry for a very long time. Literally, a comic book "sequel" was announced some months ago & all gaming media headlined it.... that goes to show, doesn't it? Anyway, their biggest money was made with the PRG formula, so after Mirage, they're next big AC game is AC Red (working title) with the RPG formula

Ubisoft's been trying to do exactly that with Skull & Bones, but, it turns out, when you strip all the story, plot, characters, and personality from the game, the naval combat doesn't go very far.
Since you mentioned the various handheld games, I've had a little pipedream for a while now of a game that takes AC1, Altairs Chronicles, and Bloodlines and combines them into one full remake collection, bringing it all up to date and making them more accessible. Maybe even include tidbits from the Last Crusade novel, and just have the complete Altair experience. I know Ubi will never do it, but it's fun to imagine
I think remakes should be reserved for games before the 2010s, possibly the late 2000s. Games that graphically haven’t aged well and especially ones with weird controls. Ac4 is neither of these, it’s controls are fine and graphically while it may not look as good as it once did it still looks decent enough, it just shows more of it’s age now.

It doesn't. Assassin's Creed 1 needs a remake. The OG fans have been screaming this for years now. However, the problem is that making an AC1 remake with the Valhalla engine would be heresy because it's so bad. So they would need to either use another engine or we need to wait for the new AC games to come out so that a new engine can be used. Or maybe an Arno sequel or a Bayek sequel, which a lot of people wanted, but Ubisoft doesn't care about that.
I used to want an AC1 remake but I'd rather have the flawed but great game than a hollow game with a legacy outfit. I would be horrified if they announced it.
@@ac_nerd9794 the biggest improvement i can currently think of is removing something. That being The Kingdom. It's so annoying to have to run through it for no good reason. Actually, a better improvement would be the ability to jump right into the game when we turn it on instead of having to walk Desmond to the animus and choose a memory block.

Exactly. Just because a game is good, doesn't mean that it doesn't have issues that can be addressed. In the case of AC4, people overlook the issues in the game just because of how great of a game it is which is good. It allows it to be appreciated. But making it so you don't have to overcome certain issues in the game would make it an even better experience.
Speaking of adding on to the stories, since they're making a remake they definitely should extend the story to cover Kenway's activities in East Asia from the Forgotten Temple webtoon, maybe even his activities in London when he got back from the West Indies at the end of Black Flag.
God I wish they made a triple a version of the Altair spin off game, that with more time spent on development Altair and Maria’s relationship would be awesome since when I first got to playing revelations I completely forgot that they where established as being a thing in that dream sequence in ac2

skull and bones being based on Black Flag tech wise is most likely the big factor for this being "easy" for them to do, what I find funny is how they potentially could do a thing Ive always wanted with black flag is have an openworld sandbox online experience which is what skull and bones is, but they could just make that game the online part of this game haha tho a remake I feel the one thing they can improve is the stalking missions and give is different actually sailable ships thats not just the jackdaw, also I dont like the dual wielding of swords but thats so and so
I'll take it It's such a unique game onto itself THE queissesntial pirate game like Red Dead is THE queissesntial "cowboy" game... But I'm also bias because this is my favorite Assassin's Creed game, & I would not mind sequels to this remake & Edward's story (even if you have to recton things); Edward is a top character in gaming for me, aside from superb acting, futher character development & potential can par him with the best of today such as Arthur Morgan, Joel Miller, Kratos, etc.

I'm all for remasters if only because it gives a chance for someone who does want to play the game but doesn't own the previous gen consoles the original came out on. I love retro gaming but even I don't own all the old consoles because of my own budgets so for gamers like me, instances like this could be a blessing.
I'm okay with this game not getting a remake unless they fix the easy combat, take out some of the tailing missions, add in new side content and customization options, make the diving bell sections less hard, or make the modern day in first person (if that's possible). Aside from those nitpicks this is still one of the best games in the series and one of the last games that needs a remake.
Personally there are two versions of Black Flag, the one that released on 360 and the one that released on the Xbox One. I would argue that the Xbox One version is still on par with some of the modern AC games like Odyssey. Exploring the carribean is immersive and the environment still looks stunning. I dont think there is a need to remaster Black Flag. I DO think there is a need to remaster or REMAKE AC 1.

I agree. AC1 and AC2, but I think that's it. I know people really want the Ezio trilogy remade, but in my mind the first two games are really what put the series on the map. Plus if you remake Brotherhood and Revelations it just helps to contribute to the remake culture in the industry. We don't need remakes for all the games. And yes, having Giovanni's robes or all black robes for Altair in AC1 would be a nice plus.

This isn’t Fallout New Vegas. This game was beautiful and almost flawless right off the bat, save for the canon swords being attached to a single-use code on an $80 action figure. Fallout New Vegas needs a reboot, there are so many ways that this post-apocalyptic cowboy game can go from great to magnificent, from giving you the ability to ride certain animals (possibly introducing horses to the series) to updating the power armor and graphics, and cleaning up the lighting. P.S. I am aware Ubisoft and Bethesda are two different studios. It still doesn’t negate my meaning.
For future ac game I think ac1 gets a remake and 1 or 1 more game as altiar and dlc as his wife or gf idk. An ac4 remake wouldn't be a bad idea but I feel like not yet,also either a haytham origin story game An ac3 dlc as haytham.
I'm so tired of remaking games that don't need it. Remakes should be for good games that are aged or couldn't reach their full potential due to hardware limitations or design flaws. I'd like to see one for AC1 because it's a great game, but some of it feels dated and could be improved. It's hard for my friend to get into it because of this, so I could justify a remake here. AC4 absolutely doesn't need one.

I'd prefer they remake Unity. Or, as you say, start from the beginning and remake AC1. Then go through each game in the mainline series. Like Atlus is doing with Persona 3 Reload. If they remake Black Flag I'd want to see Edward being a full fledged Assassin throughout more of the story, not just towards the middle/end.

Didn't this game come out on Xbox One and PS4? I know it's not a remake, but is still last gen rather than two generations ago. Atlus is a perfect example of doing remakes/remasters perfectly and with good intentions, while still turning a good profit. They have "remasters" of each of their mainline Persona games (3-5. They want us to forget 1 and 2 😅) and they just announced a complete remake of Persona 3 in the vein of their most popular Persona game, Persona 5 The Royal.
Yeah there is absolutely a time and place for remasters and remakes and game collections. I love preservation of games and even reimagining them for people who weren't around when they came out, as long as it's good. But lately it feels like there's a trend of remaking anything popular to try and make a quick buck. I would rather it is done to actually preserve the game or to fix issues the game had. If they are going to go that road with this and add in the cut content and fix the mistakes, I'm cool with it but otherwise it seems a little weird.
Ubisoft is doing this because they know that Skull & Bones won't be as profitable; therefore, they're cutting the costs on Skull & Bones and transferring the resources to something that will undoubtedly make a significant amount of profit - which is the Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag remake. So the studio for these two games are one and the same. This is my thesis on this subject.
I think this remake is nothing but an attempt by Ubisoft to recreate some hype around the piracy theme in order to help out the futur Skull n Bones sales And also by doing a remake that will most likely use a lot of assets from Skull n Bones, and will most likely sell well, since BF is the most liked episode, they are pretty much guaranteed to make a lot of money for little investment

I’d say that if any game needed a remake it would be Unity. Especially given it’s launch, they could even bring back the co-op mode and gauge how much people would enjoy the option. The whole part about them not reworking Black Flag because they wanted to remake it being unethical or whatever. I don't want AC4 remake because I like it the way it is. I want AC4 remaster that would be nice. However I think there is a posibility of AC1 remake or remaster because in 2027 AC1 will be 20 years old and I doubt that Ubisoft wouldn't make something special for the 1st game of their biggest franchise anniversary

U can play the PS4 version on PS5. u can play the 360 n One Versions on a One/Series. U can play on the Wii U. The switch. PC. ACIV does not need a remaster. AC1 needs a remake badly. 2 through Valhalla u can play on PC n modern consoles. Only do remasters/remakes from early 7th gen to whatever lower generation u want.

I don't think they would use the Valhalla engine for a remake of AC 1. Their best option would be to use the Unity engine, and just polish it more.

This game doesn't need a remake. My opinion the original assassin's Creed needs the remake treatment. I honestly have a PS4 and have most of the other games from ezio collection to Valhalla I would like to play the first one on PS4

Exactly. Just because a game is good, doesn't mean that it doesn't have issues that can be addressed. In the case of AC4, people overlook the issues in the game just because of how great of a game it is which is good. It allows it to be appreciated. But making it so you don't have to overcome certain issues in the game would make it an even better experience.

Speaking of adding on to the stories, since they're making a remake they definitely should extend the story to cover Kenway's activities in East Asia from the Forgotten Temple webtoon, maybe even his activities in London when he got back from the West Indies at the end of Black Flag.

skull and bones being based on Black Flag tech wise is most likely the big factor for this being "easy" for them to do, what I find funny is how they potentially could do a thing Ive always wanted with black flag is have an openworld sandbox online experience which is what skull and bones is, but they could just make that game the online part of this game haha
tho a remake I feel the one thing they can improve is the stalking missions and give is different actually sailable ships thats not just the jackdaw, also I dont like the dual wielding of swords but thats so and so

But I'm also bias because this is my favorite Assassin's Creed game, & I would not mind sequels to this remake & Edward's story (even if you have to recton things); Edward is a top character in gaming for me, aside from superb acting, futher character development & potential can par him with the best of today such as Arthur Morgan, Joel Miller, Kratos, etc.
My take is Ubisoft thinks skull and bones Will not do well so Maybe they Will putt a lot off assets they Made into the ac 4 remaster and try to recouperate some money on skull and bones

I'm all for remasters if only because it gives a chance for someone who does want to play the game but doesn't own the previous gen consoles the original came out on. I love retro gaming but even I don't own all the old consoles because of my own budgets so for gamers like me, instances like this could be a blessing.

I would say the first one, and if it's well done, then AC2. But that's it.

I'm okay with this game not getting a remake unless they fix the easy combat, take out some of the tailing missions, add in new side content and customization options, make the diving bell sections less hard, or make the modern day in first person (if that's possible). Aside from those nitpicks this is still one of the best games in the series and one of the last games that needs a remake.
the game is so good that if i have to play it till i am 80 and at its 88 remake i would still play it
Personally there are two versions of Black Flag, the one that released on 360 and the one that released on the Xbox One. I would argue that the Xbox One version is still on par with some of the modern AC games like Odyssey. Exploring the carribean is immersive and the environment still looks stunning. I dont think there is a need to remaster Black Flag. I DO think there is a need to remaster or REMAKE AC 1.
AC1 gets no love

I agree. AC1 and AC2, but I think that's it. I know people really want the Ezio trilogy remade, but in my mind the first two games are really what put the series on the map. Plus if you remake Brotherhood and Revelations it just helps to contribute to the remake culture in the industry. We don't need remakes for all the games.
And yes, having Giovanni's robes or all black robes for Altair in AC1 would be a nice plus.

This isn’t Fallout New Vegas. This game was beautiful and almost flawless right off the bat, save for the canon swords being attached to a single-use code on an $80 action figure.
Fallout New Vegas needs a reboot, there are so many ways that this post-apocalyptic cowboy game can go from great to magnificent, from giving you the ability to ride certain animals (possibly introducing horses to the series) to updating the power armor and graphics, and cleaning up the lighting.
P.S. I am aware Ubisoft and Bethesda are two different studios. It still doesn’t negate my meaning.

I'm so tired of remaking games that don't need it. Remakes should be for good games that are aged or couldn't reach their full potential due to hardware limitations or design flaws. I'd like to see one for AC1 because it's a great game, but some of it feels dated and could be improved. It's hard for my friend to get into it because of this, so I could justify a remake here. AC4 absolutely doesn't need one.
Maybe im just jaded but i believe that ubisoft knows skull and bones is too little too late and knkw it will not do well so they're going to change some of story and characters slap a assassin's creed 4 remake to get the fan base buzzing and excited. I'd prefer they remake Unity. Or, as you say, start from the beginning and remake AC1. Then go through each game in the mainline series. Like Atlus is doing with Persona 3 Reload.
If they remake Black Flag I'd want to see Edward being a full fledged Assassin throughout more of the story, not just towards the middle/end.
The point of the story was for Edward to be an Assassin at the end. He was being trained by James/Mary.

Atlus is a perfect example of doing remakes/remasters perfectly and with good intentions, while still turning a good profit. They have "remasters" of each of their mainline Persona games (3-5. They want us to forget 1 and 2 😅) and they just announced a complete remake of Persona 3 in the vein of their most popular Persona game, Persona 5 The Royal.
Yeah there is absolutely a time and place for remasters and remakes and game collections. I love preservation of games and even reimagining them for people who weren't around when they came out, as long as it's good. But lately it feels like there's a trend of remaking anything popular to try and make a quick buck. I would rather it is done to actually preserve the game or to fix issues the game had. If they are going to go that road with this and add in the cut content and fix the mistakes, I'm cool with it but otherwise it seems a little weird.
Ubisoft is doing this because they know that Skull & Bones won't be as profitable; therefore, they're cutting the costs on Skull & Bones and transferring the resources to something that will undoubtedly make a significant amount of profit - which is the Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag remake. So the studio for these two games are one and the same. This is my thesis on this subject.

I think this remake is nothing but an attempt by Ubisoft to recreate some hype around the piracy theme in order to help out the futur Skull n Bones sales

I’d say that if any game needed a remake it would be Unity. Especially given it’s launch, they could even bring back the co-op mode and gauge how much people would enjoy the option. The whole part about them not reworking Black Flag because they wanted to remake it being unethical or whatever. I’m sorry dude but grow up. 1, if they’re planning to actually remake Black Flag but not the rest it’s only fair they updated those games in some way. 2, they weird idea that game companies aren’t companies. And there’s some game companies that are making games out of the kindness of their heart and others that wanna make money is just not real life. They all wanna make money, Ubisoft is not unique in that fact. I remember like 5 years of people suckin off CDPR in the lead up to CyberPunk and talkin shit about Ubisoft and the CyberPunk launched and we all know how that went. It makes sense that they updated the games they weren’t goin to remake and held off on the one they were goin to remake, it’s not nefarious. That’s not to say that Ubisoft is this amazing ethical company, cause they’re most certainly not and they specialize is destroying good franchises like assassin’s creed. But let’s not make up nefarious acts where they don’t exist.

U can play the PS4 version on PS5. u can play the 360 n One Versions on a One/Series. U can play on the Wii U. The switch. PC.
ACIV does not need a remaster. AC1 needs a remake badly. 2 through Valhalla u can play on PC n modern consoles. Only do remasters/remakes from early 7th gen to whatever lower generation u want.
