- This isn’t your average beach, this is awesome terrain that is not normally accessible. I brought out the Vanquish VS4-10 to run some lines and see how the new Tekin Brushless system crawls. It’s now equipped with the RX4 speed control and Roc412 3100kv motor.

30 seconds in..."I don't think Vanquish will release a RTR..." LOL. Well...I guess that haven't released the portal version yet, but I bet it's next. Great videos! I just ordered my first Vanquish, so I'm playing catchup.
I’m casual crawler here in vegas. I can’t decide which kit to get straight axle or portal vs10. I’m leaning towards SA because Josh & Matt both loves the SA for bashing. Any recommendations regarding this? I’m not gonna b comping and I like the scale of SA nice truck bro!
Both are great if you like the straight axle for scale go with that

So what's your thought of 90mm shocks on the truck.
Iv been debating putting my 90mm proline into it.
The 6 percent overdrive comes from the front portal gears, not the transmission it's self. Order a set of rear f10 portal gears and stick them up front and you've got no more overdrive unless it's selected on the transmission

Yeah I wish to dig worked better in the early bronco, it won’t release unless you take a smidge back up oh I would wiggle my Front wheels real fast It will release.

Hey man, I love your content but I have a suggestion for a video or possibly even a build series. Do you think you could look into getting a 1/18 ecx temper gen 2? Even if it’s just a review it would be cool. I have one as it’s a bit of a budget vehicle and I’m only 15. But some people I know that have been crawling for around 20 years say it is probably the best crawler for the money they’ve seen. It would be cool to see how it performs out there for you. Maybe you could even do a budget build series for it or something along those lines. Anyway have a great day

Hey brother thanks for uploading and giving us your thoughts. I think there are a lot more Pro's and Ultras than you made mention of...? Without doubt scx10 and trx4 would have more numbers and the Phoenix would be aimed at that market segment and to get a Vanquish truck into more people's hands for sure.
But as a total tiny truck geek I couldn't wait to get my Pro and enjoy everything that truck is. After upgrading many, if not all of my different trucks it made sense to me to buy something that is just kind of done out the box so to speak and have never thought it was too expensive since all the upgrades are included so to speak and the axles are just so nice.
But absolutely the Phoenix will be an awesome kit for Vanquish. Glad I got mine before they sold out that's for sure.

I definitely think they will sell more Phoenix’s than the other kits simply off of price. I just hope that producing it doesn’t slow down production of their other parts. I’ve end up paying as much for a used set of vanquish axles as they cost new just because they sell faster than they can make them.
Get you a bottle of silicone conforming coating and absolutely soak your servo electronics & your reciever with a few coats. I literally take my trucks swimming (have seen it sunk 2ft in mud water) and have had zero issues. I don't even use a reciever box anymore because all it was doing was holding moisture 🤣
I for one ordered th Phoenix because of the price point. It will be my 7th crawler and my first Vanquish. They are sold out and they will sell TONS of them . Looks super cool, many innovative and useful features. Cant wait for my Phoenix to get here.

I have basically refused to buy vanquish products just because of how much their kits are. It pushes me away from them in every category. Now that they offered the Phoenix kit for 500 I'll buy one and maybe a few of their other parts.
The truck looks great. I agree with you on the pricing of the phoenix. Had always wanted a vanquish but price point was just a bit much for a kit IMO., but I ordered the Phoenix the second it went on sale.

I have the pro and love it, I want this one but I have to wait till summer, because it’s just recent got the early bronco, and just before that I got the LMT gravedigger so I’m good for now. Appreciate you sharing love the white and black looks awesome,
Looks like that tekin system isn’t crawling the best, try a 9 tooth pinion on 4s with a 56 tooth spur
What type of radio system are you using to shift the truck?
I actually already under drove my rear axle, but that's where I'm stopping with the crazy gearing that this truck can do, lol

What a great series of challenges this tackled with relative ease thanks also to how you used the dig and OD shifting... Not perfect, as discussed here and in other videos, but either way, so cool! I was already sold on the Phoenix, but your driving, and these spots just did it. I'm only holding on for a straight axle version for next year, or else I'm definitely gettting it, even with portals, even after the fact I'm not a particular fan of them.

Have you found an instant where you like to choose front or rear wheel drive? How do you have your OD and dig channels set?

Great crawling. Best demonstration of the truck’s capabilities I’ve seen yet. I back-ordered one today (I missed the initial release because…too many trucks). My electronics (HW Axe and Reefs) will be here next week of course. Anyway it’s gonna be my winter build project when it’s just too cold to go driving. You’ve got me thinking about wheel upgrades now!

I think the trick to get past the first water hazard was to get the driver side wheels up on the rock wall (side hill the whole thing).
Problem there is the radio would be on the low side haha
