Congratulations🎉 to William, I am also been watching Panama for my plan B, I am set to go to Mexico when I retire. I am a Mexico Relocation Guide member. I like Panama a lot, maybe the same will happen to me, live in Mexico for a while, then go to Panama. Like him I have vacationed all over Mexico over the years. Again CONGRATULATIONS on your nice rental, and such a central location innPanama.
It sees like it's been forever. I have been watching the videos, listening to the calls and now the livestreams. Finally FINALLY put my house on the market TODAY. One. Step. Closer. The tour I took in 2021 still fills my head with the desire to go back. I have watched videos about every country from Ecuador to Malaysia and I keep coming back to Panama as the best option. Seeing the real live people getting housing that is affordable makes it better too. the ads online and the groups are full of rentals that are way above my price range... keep it up I need the motivation!!
Great job again, thank you for sharing your experience, I have been following and watching all of your videos, I do think Panama is destined to be our next home, will be returning soon, trying to figure out when we can do the tour….
Buenos! I know where William taught. I grew up about 10 miles west from the Juvenile Detention Center. I’m getting ready to move to Santiago in the winter. I’m going to be looking for a rental house as well.
$500 is a good price but such homes are usually in Panamanian areas rather than expat enclaves. You have to be careful that you won't be listening to dogs barking day and night when living close to locals.
@@PanamaRelocationTours He must have a really good ear for Spanish. Most Americans who speak Spanish as a second language learn the words, but frequently mispronounce them because the letters are familiar but they are pronounced differently. I once met a Russian man who was totally fluent in English, but I couldn't understand a word he said because of his accent. Forty years ago, my husband and I attended the Spanish Language Institute in Costa Rica and we spent one hour per day totally focused on Spanish pronunciation and getting rid of our American accents. It was time well spent.
I was reading your PRT website and it said that I needed $1000 or more SS per month or it would be very expensive for me to live in Panama. Is that retirement $ accurate? I am on SS but don't make $1000. So, should I rule out Panama?
You need to make at least $1000 per month in lifetime income to qualify for the pensionado visa. Honestly, you need a minimum of $1000 a month to live a modest lifestyle in Panama. So, if your retirement income is not at least $1000 per month in lifetime income, you should rule out Panama.
Do they clean the house and the pool in the heat and bugs? do you have electrical and water outages? Why do people tend to idealize places, when we know that wherever we go there we are and that there's no Shangri-La. We are born get old, get sick and die...Of course there are good times in between and exploring living in another culture could bring temporary relief...😊
Rent is $500 a month for a furnished two bedroom. The pool is cleaned by the landlord. The tenant has to clean their own house or they can pay a maid $20 to do it. Rarely have electrical outages in that area. No place is perfect. But it's fun to have a NEW adventure instead of being stuck in the same old same old.

Both Oaxaca and Panama are on my potential list, so William is my hero.

The title is a bit misleading, I thought he would show the interior.
William, how do you handle banking and investments here or do you keep some of it in the US???
How often you have power outage which they say it is common in Panama?
why did you leave Huatulco ?, i'm here now it's awesome here !!
I understand good apartment rentals are pricey!
Good to hear! @jackie do you know of any expats living in Chame?
I know 1 expat living in Chame.
@PanamaRelocationTours have you ever done any features or interviews from anyone there?

Some locals do not have barking dogs. That's certainly something to check out before you sign a lease.
William, your pronunciation of Spanish words is very good. Did you study Spanish somewhere?
he mentioned that he visited Mexico often and also lived in Mexico for several years before moving to Panama.

@@PanamaRelocationTours Totally agree... Thank you

He could live about as inexpensively in remote, rural America. It seems the real savings comes for families or those seeking luxury rentals.
rent is one thing. The price (and quality) of food, healthcare, and other things are MUCH better in Panama.
They talk Panama has lots of insects some are tiny but has an itching effect last for 2 weeks.
same thing in Florida. go for a hike and it is a chance you take anywhere. Here in Florida they are called chiggers.
