😢 when I asked if you had seen pedasi I thought you were just going to do a car tour, I did not know that this was a real estate tour for you and your husband. You're always so good at showing off Panama, but pedasi is very quietly being overrun with huge properties being built and gated communities. The Municipal Water Supply is struggling the gentleman you are with did not mention that. There are hundreds of locals who cannot get water oh, we have a shortage here, and when the expats come in and they only see with eyes of greed instead of eyes of compassion and love for a place that they were soon called home, they think nothing of who their neighbors are who so graciously welcome them. The infrastructures are being stretched beyond belief. I expected better of you because of what you do in the parts of Panama where you live. I don't suppose your tour guide told you about a few people that have been displaced because they blocked the beautiful view of properties being built where these people have lived most of their lives! Please do more research and do a part two.
I'm sorry you're disappointed, but the focus of this video was a home tour. That's it. Just a chance to see some homes in the area. It's up to people to do their own due diligence of where they plan to move. I can not possibly cover every aspect of every location in Panama in a video. Please don't expect anything of me, as I will always fall short of thousands of people's expectations. Just take my videos for what they are and please don't read more or less into them.
I was unaware of the purpose of your visit. I was just very excited that you had made it all the way to Las Tablas and Guararé. I thought it was just part of the exploration tour that you seem to be on

The municipal water supply has been an issue in Pedasi for years, well over a decade. Some areas (Naranjal / Calle Arriba specifically) have more persistent water shortages than anywhere else in Pedasi. Neither of the homes on the tour are on the municipal water supply. The home in Roy's is on an IDAAN well that only supplies the 6 homes in that phase of the project. The beachfront home is supplied by the Costa Pedasi project well system. Furthermore, since 2008 there have been only 2 gated communities in Pedasi. To say Pedasi is being overrun by gated communities, therefore, is a stretch.
Pedasi’s infrastructure does sometimes struggle to meet the demands of a growing population. However, as anyone who has lived here for the last decade can attest to, it has also been improving year after year after year. The roads in our district are better, the water supply is more reliable than ever, the electric supply is also more reliable than ever, there is fiber optic internet in much of Pedasi, and there’s economic growth and opportunity spurred by both locals and expats that benefit the locals and the expats.
I am really tired of playing the price game on these obviously expensive properties. Announcing the price as the first thing allows people to make their own assessments and comparisons . Please consider doing that.
If you are wooing American retirees to come and buy those properties, Good luck.....
American retirees are downsizing from bigger homes to apartments and putting their money in banks and enjoying travelling around the globe. We will visit Panama for 6 months and rent during those months, not buying. Rents in Thailand, Equador, Malaysia , Turkey, Crotia, India are so cheap , no retirees would want to buy homes in foreign land.
It's impossible for you to speak for everyone. There are people, including retirees, buying in foreign countries every day. And not everyone moving to Panama is a retiree. For example, I have bought two properties in Panama and am not a retiree. What is right for you is not necessarily right for someone else.
I’ve got two friends, one in his 40’s, the other in his 50’s. They both recently retired to Costa Rica after buying land and building a home. I am looking at Panama for the same reason. Costa Rica is a potential retirement home as well. You certainly don’t have a clue what other’s want.
Too much space for retirees. Who will clean all those spaces!
You do realize that not everyone moving to Panama is a retiree, right? Lots of families are moving here as well.
