I am 52, normal American guy, and this woman is my new role model! I want to be like her ... embrace the local culture, make local friends, learn Spanish, take painting classes, maybe join a band, and sometimes visit Bocas Chica. Really love their home too. This is one of my favorite episodes. -Robert

I'm with you Robert! She's a BOSS! I've travelled alone before in Europe, and California, and also took a Mediterranean cruise by myself, but SHE is SO brave! I LOVE her! She needs to be teaching classes in this whole, "moving to another country" business. I love how matter-of-fact she is about everything, and that it was HER responsibility to learn the language. If you wrote it as a movie script, people would be "no way"!

@@kristc99 probably uses Epidemic Sound, seems like most TH-camrs do. We use them for most of our podcast music except for some of my compositions. Saves a lot of time and an unsurpassed resource from which to choose by genre, mood, etc.

That’s was some great info. So useful to us considering moving down there. Who did you contact at Panama tours to give you a list of homes in the price range you felt comfortable with? What about the visa stuff? Boy, when u learn enough conversational Spanish your gonna be to cool, playing that bass and all. More power to ya! 👍👍👍😊

Very enjoyable vid 15:02 eo. I too am a musician, but was thinking of the Pincanido Visa. Are you on a different visa since you and your husband play music. Are you getting paid? I was under the impression that once you get this type of Visa you can no longer take income in Panama. I would love to come down and play music, but I thought it was not an option.

I’m leaving David, Panamá tomorrow. My vacation will be over. Wanted to meet you. Won’t be back for quite a while, but when I do, I want to be here for the rainy season. I have one week of vacation time left for 2022. Hope I can spend it in Panamá during the rainy season. Still hoping to meet you.

Thank you for posting this. Lived in Panama from 1971 - 1974 (Fort Clayton, and still miss it. While there, visited Santa Clara, David and Boquete many times, and loved them all.
Hence, have been seriously thinking about going back permanently, and your video helps.
PS: I have the same exact Rogue Bass Guitar (Made in 2007), and like it far better than my Fender Jazz Bass along with other brands I've tried.

Great video. I was very pleased to hear that people greet you on the street. I live in California, and people do that all the time. Not talking to to people on the street is not the reality US-wide. When I travel abroad, I have a hard time turning off the California-greet-anyone-you-see because not everyone does this. :)

Great Job Kris, Regards from New York City, we are researching countries to live, we are currently reaching retirement age and Panama is on our list, we are currently looking at Volcan, Chiriquí Province, Panama. Hot wheather is not for us, and we like the mountain areas with high elevation, and great wheather. Feel free to comment - Angel and Rosa - Best Wishes!
