At least the fox bodies and the 5.0 302 are easy to work on compared to the new stuff. I own a 5.4l 3 valve ford f150. I would never recommend that engine to anyone.

My car has a pair of E7s not ported, but bigger valves, valve job, stock cam, cobra intake and all the basic bolt ons. Been 12.53 @ 107 on 17” ET Streets (12.9 @ 108 on 18” street radials). Would love to see what it would do with 10 psi from a supercharger! I’m one of the few E7 head supporters!
Car running awesome 👍 My first Paxton setup had stock heads,ran awesome. Now have a Vortech and TFS aluminum heads. Your a very lucky person to have such cool guys to help wrench in the garage!
Love my turbo car but there’s nothing like the sound of a cammed Vortech’d setup - building another one for that very reason! Glad to see these guys doing all the work… trying to instill the same in my boys. Fortunately they appreciate getting dirty, turning wrenches and learning hands on.

I put used V1 on my 86 GT after i had it rebuilt. It has stock E6 heads and cam. Converted to MAF before I got it . Bolt ons , exhaust, and explorer intake . The car is much more fun to drive . It’s not the fastest but it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I’ll enjoy it until it blows . I have a long block on standby.
Love all the superchargers on all the cars in this video. I’m running a v-1 s Trim on my stock bottom end with some skip white 202 heads and a systemax intake on 10/11lbs and it really goes.. first and second gear stand no chance on street tires and third won’t hook if it’s cool weather.. I need to get back on the Dyno because it was tuned on a bigger pulley when it was making 8 lbs and was at 400/389tq. Car feels like an animal though so much fun and drives so well with the vortech. Heck yea man, I built my 89 last 5 years finally got it running how I want. Blueprint crate 308. Stock rebuild and I want to run a torque storm and see how that works out with e7 heads also. And a cam
I had E7 heads on a 306 with a Comp Cams cam, 1.72s & Paxton Novi back in 2006. Put down 390 to the wheels and went 12.80 at 110 (T5 swap and 4.10s) in a Mark VII until it lifted a head. The video is on TH-cam. :) Enjoy it!! 🤘
if you're supercharging with stock drivetrain it's pretty much a good thing to do it on a stock motor. how much power do you really want to put through a T5 and 28 spline axles?
@@BREW2LFOXBODY totally, those stock ponies with somewhat narrow tires also will help act as a fuse so things dont break in the drivetrain. can't blow things up if the tires are spinning generally. Love this GT, that's the kind of grimy hot rod we all love, a little rough around the edges, but runs like hell. Nice Job there on Micheal's car.

My OG 89 has ported stock heads with S trim did over 500 rwhp and 127mph @ 3340 lbs back in the day. Also, please swap out that mechanical oil pressure gauge, they will eventually leak and make a huge mess under the dash.

Hey foxbody people! I got a predicament with my 91 lx. I had a supercharger and traded it for a single turbo on3 kit. I have an A9L with a chip but I had problems with my maf on the supercharger. I really want to go terminator x so I don’t have to deal with the 30 year old wiring and mafs. Now for price there is no doubt I’d rather buy a $300 maf vs $1300 terminator x. I just don’t know where to go with it
Cracked windshield, no subframe connectors? Don't need that nasty turbo, that supercharger is far better. They're music to my ears and hope one day to hear it in mine. I'm slowly learning to do stuff for myself, for someone getting up there in age, plus the costs of having someone do the work is so high. Dad didn't show me sh!t about working on cars, he used to work on 60s muscle cars, he and his buddy. Any how, I don't have a garage to work in and do small things that don't take long to do, since the property management don't want residents to work on their cars.

Can't imagine what that S.C is gonna do with 10lb on mine! Good grief! Question, did he re-gap his rings?!? Before turbo/S.C?!? I am kind of scare don mine, wondering if 10lb is too much for a stock bottom end GM Chevy 350 Crate.
Passing people was always a concern of mine as well. Especially on damp/wet roads. The bottom end was actually professionally built. It just has stock cleaned up heads on it.
Dual exhaust, gears, and tune basically in that order. Anything that works on v8 will benefit a 6. As for cold air systems, make sure it's a true cold air system or a high flow drop in filter.
Other than the yellow Terminator, that is now a thing of the past, has anybody on this channel ever under roots style supercharger? I don’t know anybody who raves about centrifugal style superchargers like you boys do. None of us have any use for them.

@BREW2L a tvs is where it's at. The modern 2650 is nasty even the 2.3 tvs can make some power and they are snappy as hell on the hit I think a cool project would be do a gen 1 lightning with the 351 and make an adaptor to fit a 2.3 tvs from a 13-14 gt500 because it would work well on the 351 and that blower not only says svt on it but also 5.8 both of which would match perfectly with a gen 1 lightning.
@Frosty_Silver_Fox I think a 13 gt500 blower on a gen 1 lightning would be an awesome project. It says svt and 5.8 both of which fit a gen 1 lighting the air intake even comes from the driver side just like gen 1 lightnings.
It's just how turbos work compared to blowers. Centris do build boost with rpm but they're also instant as far as response whereas a turbo you stab it then it goes a split second later, if that makes sense. Even if you have a properly sized good spooling turbo it still takes a second to go after you stab it it's just how they work. Being belt driven a supercharger is snappier when you punch it. This is alot more so with a positive displacement but even a centri does better on the first initial hit. It's hard to explain lol.

My 306 with e cam, e7 heads same vortech v3 si was making 14psi peak, definitely not a slouch. 20 degrees timing super safe.

Sounds like it had other issues besides the turbo and that being why it was running hot. Glad he likes it with the sc tho!

I think a cool project would be do a gen 1 lightning with the 351 and make an adaptor to fit a 2.3 tvs from a 13-14 gt500 because it would work well on the 351 and that blower not only says svt on it but also 5.8 both of which would match perfectly with a gen 1 lightning.
@Frosty_Silver_Fox I think a 13 gt500 blower on a gen 1 lightning would be an awesome project. It says svt and 5.8 both of which fit a gen 1 lighting the air intake even comes from the driver side just like gen 1 lightnings.

More aggressive on the hit, I would think the Turbocharger would have won since the Super Charger gets its power from rising boost.
It's just how turbos work compared to blowers. Centris do build boost with rpm but they're also instant as far as response whereas a turbo you stab it then it goes a split second later, if that makes sense. Even if you have a properly sized good spooling turbo it still takes a second to go after you stab it it's just how they work. Being belt driven a supercharger is snappier when you punch it. This is alot more so with a positive displacement but even a centri does better on the first initial hit. It's hard to explain lol.
