Thanks a lot for such an informed video. I love to propagate plants from cutting, although don't always have a success. I managed to do it with my blackcurrants last year but failed with the blueberries. Will try again!

Awww. I'm sorry for the failure with your blueberries. But, I'm very happy that your blackcurrants were successful. I am a new gardener. I prefer container gardening. I haven't tried growing from cuttings yet. Still, it really hurts when something goes wrong.

    A couple questions:
    1) where I live the winters are very long, would I put them under grow lights? Just by a heating vent? Do I just shove the stems in potting soil for 6 months until the snow finally leaves?
    2) Have you ever tried honey as a “rooting hormone” and if so would you recommend it to others? I tend to grow mold because I love my plants too hard ☔️ 💦 😂
Sorry for the lengthy questions. I’m really trying hard not to kill everything I’ve put so much time into.

Yes, you can, water enough to keep the soil moist at all times, one a day or once every 2 days. Yes, keep them for atleast 2 to 3 months and plant in spring.

take hardwood cutting in winter. you can also grow grapes from cuttings in spring and summer but the success rate is a little lower. Keep the cutting in shade, well watered, and provide nutrients after 1 month, every 2 weeks.
