Can you confirm my thoughts, when using an AC home charger. Generally keep battery charged 20-80% for daily use, and charge to 100% once a week. Going to 100% will help battery management system calibration. OR should I charge to 100% more frequently as am using AC charger which is less stress on battery than DC Rapid chargers. Thx from NZ
Thanks for your nice videos.. I have one Q. When charging Atto3 in the last 3 or 4 minuts it is supposed to optimize the batteri , checking all the cells and then goes to 100% full charge. But my dosent do this every time, sometimes it just goes direkt to 100 charge.... I been checking this ... Have you seen this in your Atto3. And I love to see a video explaining the detailed layout of the Powertrain ...how the Powertrain connect to the weels .. how the force goes.
@@DP-pn2hp You need to sitt in the car..and look at the small display behind the wheel. Below the charging %... Calculating in text appears around 97.. 99 %.. I like this information also to appear in the app and it to be bigger.. Perhaps to be seen in a statestic graf somevear in the charging statestic in the infotament.
@@BYD_Telsa Hi Ian, thanks for all the helpful information that you are providing to the BYD Atto 3 owners. I am an Uber driver as of 10 weeks ago and i purchased my BYD Atto 3 specifically for this reason. I have been seeing very conflicting advice on the degree of degradation of the blade batteries, whether it be because of charging to 100% or some other sources advising that AC charging is more beneficial for the lifespan of the battery and so on. As I've yet to invest in a level 2 home charger and I drive 3-4 nights a week doing Uber doing an average of 300-400 kms per night I have been charging my vehicle twice a night once somewhere in the middle of the night and once again in the morning when I've finished my shift, so I don't have to get up and run around looking for a fast charger that is either working or is not in use. So I decided to get some advice straight from the horses mouth as they say. I rang Peter who is the manager at the experience centre in Robina, where I purchased the car from. I explained to him my query regarding the do's and don'ts of charging the battery. His reply was that charging the battery using a fast charger has no effect at all, and the advice of AC charging will prolong the battery life might be true for other brands that use ternary lithium batteries, which have the added elements of nickel cobalt and manganese oxide for the positive electrode, plus graphite for the negative electrode. He also went on to explain that there were tests carried out in China by BYD, using fast chargers and AC chargers, which were discharged and recharged for 1.3000.000 times and there was no difference whatsoever. Do I hope this gives some clarity to anyone like myself who was concerned that they're degrading the battery much faster than was absolutely necessary. Kind Regards Eran 🙏
Who knows where is pyro fuse on byd atto3?

if the cellls are all balanced it does not need to do it. Not doing it is good
My Atto3 has 7500km, have tried but never seen battery optimisation message, just goes from 99 to 100% charge.

Nice video thanks for sharing .. and at the end .. what was the result of your battery health??
