Your colours (hair, skin, apron, etc.) is beautiful. What is your "secret"/tool? :)
Thank you, i don't think i have any special secret/tool, but i don't smoke or drink much so that may help. The apron is from my own range of cake decorating equipment and accessories in Home Bargain Stores in England. xx
Hi I would like to create a navy blue version of this cake. Regarding the sizes, would the navy blue fondant be the chunkiest followed by the white than the black ? or would the navy blue fondant be the same size as the gray fondant in your video and the white fondant would be the largest?
Naomi Lawson hi I would have the navy as the largest portion of the colours xx
@@elizabethharris7828 Thank you so much especially for the extremely fast reply :) x
Hi sorry just another quick question, what website did you order your edible silver leaf from? just so I can order it from a reliable website
Naomi Lawson hi I’m so sorry I’ve only just seen this second comment 🤦♀️ I order from Culpitt in the uk, and always on transfer sheet never loose leaf xx
Thanks for this. It's there a reason for using icing sugar on the surface rather than corn starch / corn flour? Does it make a difference?
Hi thanks for your question it’s just a matter of personal preference, some people say that icing sugar drys the sugar paste out but I don’t find that. It’s never been a problem for me.
Hope that helps XX
Thanks for this excellent tutorial, I subscribe.
thank you xx
thank you xx
Good one what is your cake board material.
It’s a cake drum xx
how many packs of fondant icing did you use for this cake?
Naomi Lawson I think it was about 1.5 kg worth of sugarpaste but obviously there’s some waste with the marble technique xx
thank you
Thank you
Hi can I put plastic icing on a frozen cake.
Hi i’m so sorry I’ve only just seen your question what do you mean by plastic icing? X
How long will that marble fondant last in the plastic bag??
I want to make the marble ahead of time for a wedding and just the coat the cake hours before.. Anyone have suggestions?
Hi Thanks for your question, I wouldn't advise marbelling and leaving in a bag ahead of time, as even if the bag is sealed tight, your fondant will always need kneeding just before you use it to make it pliable and so when you cover it doesn't crack of leave the cake with wrinkly skin. I would have me colours ready in advance and them mix and marble just before covering the cake. Hope that helps and good luck.xx

Is sliver leaf edible?
Yes this is edible silver leaf you can order it online from cake supplier websites xx
Do you always touch your face and hair like that while cooking?
If it’s for a customer my hair is always tied up but for camera I tend to leave it down xx

That's not icing, that's fondant. 😝
