Bleacher Report released an article addressing New England Patriots 2024 NFL free agency news and rumors. Bleacher Report chose 3 NFL free agents that would be best suited to play for Jerod Mayo and the New England Patriots. The Patriots have multiple holes to fill but do they have the money to do it?

“Latavius Murray could be signed for one specific purpose. The veteran running back scored 59 touchdowns in his career, including four with the Buffalo Bills last season. Murray could be utilized in goal-line situations to help the Patriots offense with their scoring.Of course, Stevenson could fill that role, but if he is worn down on certain drives from getting into the red zone, the Patriots may be able to use another running back who pounds in between the tackles. Murray scored at least four touchdowns in all but one of his 10 NFL seasons and he found the end zone on six occasions in six of those seasons.”

“The Patriots had shown interest in Fournette in the past, but the two sides were never able to sync up…As for the roster, New England has Rhamondre Stevenson, who is slated to take on the lion's share of the touches. Beyond him, Antonio Gibson, JaMycal Hasty and Kevin Harris headline the rest of the backfield depth. Fournette does feel like someone who could be an insurance option for Stevenson as he is a proven pass catcher out of the backfield along with being a between-the-tackles runner.”

I would use Bell as tight end/ bruiser back. See if he can do it. It won’t hurt to try. He is 6”3 240 he has young strong legs and can run.

I only really want a dedicated Fullback. I’ve said this numerous times before and I’ll say it again, Cole Strange might be able to fill that roll. Everyone in Foxboro believes he’s extremely athletic and it would give the offense an additional O-line capable blocker.

I’d sign either fournette/murray as a 3rd RB back up in case the other two RB’s get injured. But it would also help develop our running back room having a veteran. I’d also sign Stephen Gilmore for a two year deal. I don’t think we are going to be signing both of the “Jones’s” because of their injury history. Plus Gonzo shadowed Gilmores style. Having him as a CB1 or 2 would just help Gonzo develop. Because if you think about it, Gonzo is still in his first year. Having an injury his first year is a set back. He was still performing at such a high level for his first year. But that injury will set him back. Having Gilmore on the other side of him, we will have a guaranteed LOCK DOWN CB room. Especially with Austin that can potentially develop to be our CB2 in the upcoming future

then i would go dollar shopping for a RB or we could save the money & still wait to see if we can pick-up a WR1 in free agency that way they don't blow money on something they don't really need 🤔

Hard no on all three players. Don't need vets, I think the pats need youth in my mind. Any running back that 26+ is like 30+ in running back years to me. The first 4 regular season games will tell if any of the new players work out or not. Go pats🎉.
