An awesome night out at 700m just off the summit with the beautiful Blue. Dancing clouds and meeting a subscriber who I shared the mountain and a beer with. Testing a new winter sleeping pad from LightTour and some Nike trail running shoes. The drone shows off this mountain in all it’s glory!

I, too, have my Trekker chair wrapped around my XTherm. It's so nice to have insulated back, butt, & leg support inside or outside shelter.
It's always nice to meet like minded people out in the boonies.
I like that you always name distant peaks in the landscape.
Blue wasn't about to let that drone get out of his sight.

One thing that's truly amazing about the places you go is that, with the weather conditions, from one week to the next the view could be so very different. This time, with the clag and the clouds swirling around, it was truly beautiful. But if you went back next week and it stayed bright and sunny the whole time, it would be just as beautiful, but in a different way. It's amazing. Thank you for sharing your adventure--and the wonderful views--with us.

I ended up camping on top of Pike of Blisco last night and seeing as it was the first phone signal I could get, I decided to watch your video. I actually ended up picking the same camp spot as you by chance. It was out of the wind with views to die for. Cracking night with not a hint of wind and a beautiful sunrise. Oh, I spotted some of Blue's fur. 😂

I enjoy watching the Van build although I must admit to loving your adventures with Blue trekking, climbing and exploring. Alan, your photography and videography is superb. The editing and overall production is whimsical and almost dreamlike, otherworldly. Truly Al, you do everything you do to the highest peaks, like all those mountains you have joyfully conquered. Hello Al, I do need it. It was this time last year I did Helvellyn. Not been back to the Lakes since. Back again in August for my 50th and we're staying in Coniston so maybe the Old man for a climb on my birthday.

Would have liked less time about the air mattress and more time hunkering down at bed time.
What a lovely hike! And any video with Blue is worth watching. We had a black Lab mix that was an outside dog. He would NOT come in the house. He developed a very thick coat in the winter and his spring molt was something to behold. Our back deck would be covered in clumps of black fur. But we loved him. He was a great dog. As are all dogs.
I think most dogs given the choice would sleep outside where it’s more interesting 👌

Pike o blisko was the second summit we did with our rescue dog over 30 years ago
And you still remember it👌. Great place.
You never forget even after 30 years. We didnt wild camp with our two kids and a dog in a 4 person tent. Only main sites. Me and my wife wild camped. Opening your tent to the head of a cow looking in is a great start to a day, not

Nowt like plucking your dog, thought my beagle was bad but this was on a different level!! We did pike o blisco fro the top of hardknott, gather u took the worst route 😂. Crinkle crags to the left of it if I remember rightly
Yes crinkle crags are a tough walk as it’s so rocky

I enjoy the van build videos but I missed seeing Blue like fire! Love the way he keeps a sharp eye on the drone. And that isn't left-behind dog hair, that's wonderfully insulating bird nest material!
